  1. And...you know...The Godfather: Part II. But, please continue with your unfounded Lucas bashing. I'd hate to let something as stupid as 'facts' get in your way.
  2. I've always found the crew to be the worst part of Showmasters events. All the security are bolshy and pushy, (one even actually pushing my Dad at this event). None of the staff seem to know where anyone or anything is. They're all disinterested and rude. I love the Showmasters events, and will continue to attend, but I'm always aware I'll be fending for myself and avoiding Judge Dredd most of the time.
  3. I can honestly say I've not given a lot of thought to what I will be wearing. It's just a day out for me.
  4. It varies from guest to guest, and on queue size. Set expectations to low, and take anything else as a bonus. I've only ever been turned down for a quick photo once, and that was at the end of the day, and with a busy guest. I have always booked in advance. You may be in for a bit of a queue, but I'm sure you'll be fine. You won't be alone in this, for sure. There are eats, but they can be pricey. Your choice. Handstamp. I'll be one of the people in normal clothes.
  5. I will: Pack my bag the night before (a book for the solitary signature I want...a long-sleeve for if it gets cold...that's about it...). Get on the train. Go and enjoy myself for the day. Come home. Am I missing something here? Why is everything a kerfuffle?
  6. Any word on what day(s) he is attending?
  7. Quoted for truth. Ever head of 2000AD? It's only the biggest comic in the UK and responsible for pretty much every British comic writer and artist you've ever heard of. I can't believe none of them would be up for it. If Dan Abnett and Pat Mills were willing to be interviewed by me for my own no-name website, I'm sure they'd be up for this. Also QFT. Lovely chaps, and I love their work, but it smacks of lazy booking by Showmasters.
  8. did you guys hear that I was going to start collecting Alien/Predator autographs? Are you following me? Amazing. Simply amazing. :)
  9. I'm not allowed within 500 yards of Natalie Portman any more.
  10. My list of meets has gone from three to two. Man, slim pickings on the Star Wars front this year.
  11. Last year there was an abundance of people who had come as The Doctor, simply by adding a scarf to their normal clothes...
  12. Hell, I bring my Mum and Dad to these events...They're just as geeky as I am. My Mum has a Jedi robe dressing gown and a massive statue of an AT-AT on the hallway. My Dad collects 50s B-Movies, and can hold his own in a conversation with my geekiest friends from pro-wrestling to silver age comics. If I'm that awesome when I'm that old, then I'll have succeeded at something.
  13. Allan Oppenheimer Dee Bradley Baker John Erwin Catherine Taber Rob Perlman Clancy Brown But, yes, definitely Mark Hamill. And, impossibly, Chris Latta.
