If you were expecting 15-20 guests from the film then you would have been disappointed. These events are only ever about 4-6 guests and of course they need not have been from the film. I am one of the 70 who have ticket but do not expect this event to take place as the numbers are clearly too low. Didnt say from the movie... didnt say actors... just total guestys including stuntys, artists, weta, tolkien society etc.... For me to pay for a silver pass or whateer i would expect a good selection of people.. DavidB i'm sorry i'm not going to respond to you... my own reaasons and i9 dont want a showdown...sorry! I would say that in my opinon that since i have a silver pass i would expect there to be between 15 and 20 guests at least and five big names of which 2 would be new signers to most of us... That would be appealing but we have 3 guests a few months before and no sign of any further guests so far... thats of course if we the fans agree John and Daisy would bring us. TBH the thrill for me is the organisers wetting my apetite leading up to the event and me not having to decide whether it gets cancelled or not. Thats really upsetting and very disappointing... I understand you need feedback but to ask should you cancel the event takes the thrill for me... Shame i have already bought a ticket but if you get the 15-20 i would be overjoyed... if this is a flop it would perhaps stop me from attending other conventions. Sorry if this is harsh but i mean it as constructive and not even criticism, more of this is how i'm feeling at the moment and really you need to make a decision and come back to all of the 70 that have paid for a ticket asap with something tangible! Ok so i would like to meet David and JRD is amazing as always! But if this is cancelled i would like to ask what will happen to those of us who have booked hotels we could get cheap that we cannot get a refund for! I understand you want a good con but i have a few more questions. 1, Does this mean there will be only a small amount of guests including the big names and other cast/people who worked on it? 2, Will my Silver pass be justified, or am i paying for a convention with a very small amount of guests full stop? 3, Does this mean that if it goes ahead and there are a small amount of guests, partys and passes will no longer be exclusive despite the pay range? I would appreciate a response on this if poss! Veasse and partner who already have tickets! xx

I'm getting really worried too... Its one thing to not say anything but to say soon there will be announcements then leave it for weeks on end its just too much... Not only do i feel i'm wasting my time coming on here to check but i'm finding it upsetting that there are so many of us going through this! Please Please can someone from SM just reassure us? TBH Lawrence has shied away from the uk and europe as he was losing out on work. I have asked and hoped he would come with his new tat business but alas not to be. Getting close now.... Hope something comes to light soon A xx

Just want to say thank you all for making this constructive and not just bitching... Believe me jamie, you dont want to see me running... and just for the record it was first thing and there wasnt anyone in the way so nobody but myself was injured by my running...I would never push someone or hurt anyone! I think that despite the problems it was a nice weekend, not extra special like usual but nice. I cannot fault Dom, i never could anyway! Patrick was as lovely as he could be within his remit and micheal gross was lovely too. I managed to see my friend from the US that i havent seen in years and even managed a pic and glimpse of Orlando Bloom at the theatre just by fluke! (just walking down the street and there he was!) I'm looking forward to the next collector mania, and ring con, I do hope they get Dom back because he is such a lovely guy! Again THANK YOU to showmasters for putting this show on, perhaps you can take some tips from here and improve the next LFACC.... I do recall Wembley and the first LFACC and how amazing it was... perhaps trying to get a similar venue would be good. Veasse xx

My feet are swollen and stinging... i was almost in tears by 1.30 and needed to sit down... no chance... I'm only short we got food and those seats were for giants and very few. xx

My weekend was brilliant but the convention as part of the weekend wasnt the highlight... (perhaps the kiss and hug from Dom was one highlight though...) I got to meet Patrick, I was the big girl that ran... you may laugh... no i mean it you can laugh at this... I'm surprised i didnt get black eyes... i did get a chest complaint though!! I have been to so many conventions and feel that this was possibly the worst.... Not because of the staff or the guests at all, but really because i felt there was no atmosphere, the venue was awful, the stalls had no flow and it was quite small... I suppose from past events my expectation was too high. Patrick was lovely and i'm not sure who i feel more sorry for... Patrick or the fans that didnt get to meet him. I was seriously upset that tickets over 1000 were being given out when it was obvious he wouldnt get past 800. the poor guy was signing so fast and working so hard to be nice to everyone, look at them and smile that i felt like it was a zoo. I had a great meeting with Michael Gross who was lovely and very personable. What are your thoughts??? Please bear in mind that this is a constructive thread not a criticism and certainly not a pop. Well as November is more or less two months away, I wouldn't call it several months. Yes, but the event is in roughly 3 months time. We understand that but if LFACC or CM had only one guest announced with 3 months or less to go there would be a riot! I just think that we have never waited for so long before and its worrying! Especially since SM said "SOON" which doesnt mean weeks to me SORRY!! Just my opinion! Andrea xx

Hey hun Can't speak for Showmasters as I don't know what they have planned re above, but from previous experiences at other conventions I can say that children are usually allowed and normally you have to pay from the age of 7. Facilities is all down to the venue itself and out of the organisers hands. The Radisson isn't a bad hotel - they are clean and they do (if I remember rightly) have baby changing facilities in their disabled toilets. Day passes - I've not heard anything, but it is quite rare for a convention to do these, unless of course, the event itself hasn't sold out. Hey Jola Thanks for replying I know Showmasters are really busy but they really ought to keep this updated. I'm no longer able to attend a little matter of having another baby due that weekend is kinda stopping me from coming. I thought Roxy would have told you. I'm quite happy to wait as long as we get a regular nod in our direction to say they are working on it.. Cool... well i always just get a cheap hotel after all its only a base! Did i miss something? Who mentioned the FF? I think i should have read more closely lol.. I have no doubt that if RCUK goes ahead it will be amazing i just feel a little left in the dark at the moment... i dont like that feeling and i dont think anyone does! How long does it take to log on and post a quick comment saying "dont worry things will be moving forward soon" ?? SM dont have to make a big spiel but nobody on here will accept someone telling us to calm down unless its definaltely from SM themselves! lets keep fingers crossed we hear soemthing soon! Andrea xx

I think that one of the things is that people keep reading here that SM are busy with another show at the moment. Everybody seems to say that SM will be busy in the weeks leading up to a show, and in the week or two after a show. Indeed, Andrea from SM posted elsewhere that they had been very busy in the 4 weeks leading up to CM11. So, reading the various forums around here, people would have the impression that SM will be tied up with a show for 2-4 weeks before and 1-2 weeks after a show. Then look at the forthcoming timetable SportsMania 23rd and 24th June 2007 MusicMania Live! 28th and 29th July 2007 Collectormania Glasgow 25th and 26th August 2007 London Film and Comic Con '07 8-9th September 2007 Autographica 10 13th and 14th October 2007 Collectormania 12 26th-28th October Collectormania G-Mex 3 17th and 18th November 2007 Ring Con UK 24th and 25th November 2007 Besides the potentially scary (to some) fact that another show starts less than a week after Collectormania G-Mex 3, one could be forgiven for thinking that the only time SM will have to spend on another show when other events aren't occupying them are this week and next week; other than that, they've got seven other shows in the next six months. Granted, they may not be so occupied with every show as they have been with CM11, (I strongly suspect that that may well be the case) but people here may not know that. All they see is that SM are busy before a show and after one, and there doesn't look like much time between now and another show when they haven't got another show to occupy them. Any sort of info, heck, any sort of acknowledgement would be most welcome. AMEN to that! I also agree that my money is gaining interest in thier account... we have a normal and a silver pass... we went into debt for it because we thought we would miss out otherwise... It has been long enough... even other shows have had some acknowledgement whether it be at other cons etc, we need something.. a little glimmer of hope please?? A xx

Hi guys... Look i can understand both sides. I have bought na silver ticket and feeling very frustrated at the moment.. Even if SM would pop by and say "sorry but we havent got an update" but at the moment with absolutely nothing people are getting wound up. I have never known SM not to let us know whats going on... I think i'm not the only one and i think that causing concern that theres something wrong! I feel really bad for the people waiting on Hotel prices too, I knew i wouldnt be able to afford it so i got two nights at a local travelodge for £30... non refundable.. so if it goes belly up i wont have lost much beacuse i'm sure SM will refund in full! I do wish SM would come and just say something... even if its just that they are working on it... cause right now I feel in limbo! big hugs to everyone else who feels the same.. V xx
