  1. Jet from Gladiators. Men round the country still catch their breath at the very mention of her name
  2. Indeed. Ever since he killed those poor two women in Northern Ireland back in 1987 I think he's given the UK a wide birth.
  3. Caitriona Balfe ... star of the new show 'Outlander'. If you're lucky enough to have seen the first two episodes you'll already have an appreciation of how awesome she is!
  4. Seeing as 'Twin Peaks' is back in the news with the release of the new box set how about seeing if Sherilyn Fenn is now free to appear (after cancelling the London show) as well as other stars from the show, maybe even David Lynch himself!
  5. John Shuttleworth. Sheffield's finest.
  6. BRAIN BLESSED (I believe it's now fanboy law that his name must always typed in uppercase).
  7. I'd like to see some 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' guests. Paul Freeman, after his Milton Keynes cancellation, and George Harris after he cancelled his appearance at this past weekend's London show. Stuntman Supreme Vic Armstrong would be welcome too and how about inviting Peter Botwright up from Wested Leather who made Indy's iconic jackets. A lot of the 'Game of Thrones' cast are from the North so maybe they'd be willing to support the 'local con'. It's Sean Bean's home town, after all! Marvel comic-book artist (and designer of the modern Iron Man suit) Adi Granov lives just up the road in Leeds so he might consider appearing. Maybe some 'Princess Bride' guests as the movie was shot in the Sheffield (Derbyshire) area.
  8. Curious that he cancels on the same day that the Star Wars: Episode VII cast is announced. Mmmm ...
  9. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Due South first being broadcast and I'm sure I'm not the only person out there who remembers it fondly. The BBC's support of the show was one of their finest hours in my humble opinion (they helped save it from cancellation, if you didn't know). So, that said, it would be great to see the actors Paul Gross (Constable Fraser) and David Mariano (Detective Raymond Vecchio) appear at a future show. It would be even more special if the organisers could convince Paul Gross to do a photo shoot in full character, dress as a Mountie! Anyway, just a thought and (dare I say it) ... thank you kindly.
  10. If not Manchester then Leeds or York should be considered. There are plenty of venues in those two cities that could accommodate such an event. Leeds especially as it is easily accessible, sitting on the axis of the M1 and M62.
  11. With all the current rave for retro cop shows ... Life On Mars, Ashes To Ashes, Heartbeat ... who better than to have as guests than the biggest cops of the 80s ... Crockett & Tubbs aka Don Johnson & Phillip Michael Thomas! Now, if you could get them and Edward James Olmos who played their boss in the show that really would be something :) D'oh! Can't believe I mistyped 'Miami' in this post's title!
  12. Who wouldn't want a snap taking with the best moustache in television history!? He was Magnum PI, for goodness sake!
  13. Move the event to Leeds, as you'll draw bigger crowds. I recommend you host it at Saviles Hall, which is bang opposite the Royal Armouries museum (http://www.raievents.co.uk/). I went to Thought Bubble (http://www.thoughtbubblefestival.com/) there last year and it was packed, with coaches visiting from all over England. I went to the last Manchester Collectormania and it was nowhere near as busy. Manchester is pretty much sat on it's own geographically but Leeds is surrounded by other cities such as Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, York, etc, all of which have large deposits of potential visitors (especially as they all have universities) who can access Leeds easily. Anyway, that's my brief pitch for Leeds but I think the show would have far more success potential there than Manchester.
  14. I'd like to see a convention for Twin Peaks and other David Lynch projects with guests like Kyle MacLachlan, Laura Harring, Sherilyn Fenn, Mädchen Amick and Everett McGill!
