  1. What about Aidan Turner photoshoot on the Saturday? His name isn't on the list.... Also do you know if there are tickets available still for the Matt Smith talk?
  2. Okay so I was late...I will admit it was my fault. The Online Shop closed yesterday so I'm asking: Does anyone know if there are ANY tickets available to be bought on the day for Matt Smith photo shoot? I'm getting to the queue at god knows what time so I should - SHOULD - be able to get in early enough, so I just need to know if I have a shot at getting one. many please's and thankyou's to anyone that replies. :)
  3. crap! I only just saw this email about it today. and the shop is closed. I really really REALLY hope there are tickets for photo op/autographs available on the day. I'm already getting to the queue mega early as it is, so i might just get there earlier to make double sure. I actually SCREAMED when I saw the email. I've been busy the past few days so I haven't had a chance to check my emails. ah omg. Matt. EEEEEEP! lol I was gutted to see the online shop closed yesterday. bugger!
  4. *sigh* Even though I've already met the guests so far announced, it would be cool to go hear what they have to say about breaking dawn. Just a shame that I'd be paying money for the talks alone, because I really don't need yet ANOTHER autograph or photo with them. Although, I kinda don't want to go because of the cost, but I do because, well... it's the last one. Dammit! lol
  5. Hate to say it, but I have to agree on most of EeeGee's points. Although, I have been to a lot of other of Massive Events conventions, despite me not liking the service. The way everything is handled is sometimes very off hand and loose. It's annoying. Not been to a Twilight con in so long because I've already seen a lot of the guests. Having repeat guests is going to get wearing eventually because not everyone wants to pay, what actually ends up being, nearly/or a lot of the time, over, £250-£300 just to see people they've met before. The ole excuse of 'hanging out with friends' is a lame excuse. If I can't see my friends outside of the conventions, they're not really that great of friends if they can't be bothered any other time. IMO. I am interested to see who they get for Bitten 3 though. Bitten 2 was good. :)
  6. That has to be an improvement. At least I don't have to pay the rip off train ticket price. I can drive to this. YAY! And if all else fails, I can just go for some retail therapy. lol
  7. Ahh s***! *sorry* I guess I'll have to get on and book a hotel then. Wasn't gonna go if there were no talks. Or maybe I'll just miss it and go shopping instead... lord knows these conventions cost enough. Got ET6 and Hub to go to so... Yeah. Thanks for clearing that up anyway.
  8. There aren't talks at EMS are there? At least, there weren't last time I went.
  9. Can't say i make friends all that easily. lol. But we're just gonna make a weekend of it. Maybe tour the city.
  10. Oh that's odd... because i got emails saying the shop closed a week or so ago. Oh well. thanks for letting me know. I might just drag my mum along then, since otherwise i'll be on my own.. and these conventions arent so much fun on ones own
  11. Obviously i totally understand if this isn't possible... (and not that she wants to spend the money, but..) i wasn't sure if Bitten 2 sold out or not... if it hadn't/hasn't.. do you think it would be possible to buy a ticket at the door if someone hadn't got one online in time before the shop closed? Just thought i'd ask.
  12. same. im on my own. and really disappointed one of the guests has cancelled. 3 guests? really? hardly seems worth going. to be honest, if it wasn't for the fact it hasnt sold out... i would have probably given my ticket to someone. oh well. might be interesting....
  13. Okay so let me just say i had the BEST time (asides from the walking/standing/endless queuing) and will go next year hopefully. However, there were a few issues which i'm pretty sure i'm not the first to comment (or perhaps i am?) 1: the band that played during the harry potter panel (the sunday one) and the Back to the future talk..... Surely there was some way to have their volume turned down. Also the same with the karaoke. both of these drowned out the panels in the main stage and a lot of people around me, especially, were getting rather irate and some walked out because it was almost, at one point, impossible to hear either the guests OR the questions. The crew seemed to be ignoring any complaints as well, saying it wasn't anything to do with them. fair enough. but surely SOMEONE could have gone over to the band stage and said something? Wouldn't have killed them! i'm sure it was annoying for the panel as well. 2: Not as bad but still annoying - the amount of people that stood in the aisle during panels. Blocking the walkway. apparently health and safety? wouldn't have guessed judging the the crews reaction when asked if they could move the people. 3: the worst problem was at the Karen Gillan talk. a LOT of us queued for that talk, thinking that it would be first come first served (although we'd all paid to have a seat anyway) because that's how all the other talks worked. Then suddenly, without ANY prior warning, somebody decided to have the rows numbers in accordance with the ticket numbers. I don't know who's not so smart idea THAT was, but it wasn't clever and caused chaos! Next time, pre-warn us all before you pull a stunt like that, saving us all a queuing job, and also, SPEAK UP when calling rows! ALSO there were a few rows empty at the talk and a lot of people arriving that day wanting to get tickets but being told it was sold out. I think something could have been done about that with maybe a waiting list? Because theres (nearly) always going to be someone who doesn't turn up to these things even having paid. and therefore, as was the case, could have given other people a chance to have a seat and enjoy the really good talk by Karen. 4: and last of all: the lack of crew in areas where most needed. I saw LOTS of crew walking in to the venue in the mornings, but whenever i was walking around and perhaps needed to ask a question when not near any of autograph areas, there was no one to ask. Okay so yes i could have slogged to the tables at the front of the venue, but sometimes that might not have been possible, maybe for someone in a wheelchair or whoever, so having people walking around on hand would have been nice. Again ,this isn't as important as maybe other things ive said were, but still something i think i should point out. I don't know how anyone else feels about those above issues, but i dont think im wrong in thinking im not alone. Anyway, thanks for the fun weekend (despite the obvious.. and the amount of money i spent) i did have a good time. so did my mum. all the guests were really friendly and i managed decent seats for all the talks (aside from Karen's talk) and got loads of awesome pictures. Thanks :)
