  1. I saw Millvina two weeks ago at her care home. Her costs are £800 a week for a single room. Funnily enough one of the items that Millvina signed for me was a Titanic photo for Gloria Stuart who played the 'old lady' in the film!
  2. I heard recently that Sylvia has been unwell. I am not sure how she is now but she no longer has her offices at Pinewood. I am sure she did one of the early Autographica's though. Shane Rimmer has (voice of Scott) Matt Zimmerman (voice of Alan) and the wonderful David Graham who provided the voices for Gordon, Brains and Parker. David also worked on the early radar equipment during WW2.
  3. We came pretty close to getting Brian along for Autographica 10 as he would have liked to have met Buzz and the other astronauts but in the end he did not want to come along.
  4. Good spot Keith, I did not know Jane was over here. She would be a great guest and it is possible. One problem though is that Jane is unable to fly as she has an inner ear problem. So her travelling time would be rather long!
  5. If you watch the extended version of the show on Sunday you will see more of Tony.
  6. Very sad news indeed, I only spoke to Jimmy just before Christmas. Jimmy only just made it to Autographica as his wife was not well but he really enjoyed the show. Flightglobal did an interview with Jimmy on the Friday night at Autographica which can be seen here. http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2007/...usively-to.html
  7. You can call me on 0777 4953206 and I will see what I can sort out for you.
  8. Actually I just found out tonight that Jane Russell is unable to fly due to an eye condition. What a shame.
  9. Thank goodness, I can sleep again at night.
  10. It's something that is completely out of our control. We are as disappointed as you are, we were looking forward to meeting him as well. Hopefully he will be able to join us next year. But they say every cloud has a silver lining and you have to meet Ken Campbell, he made me laugh so much on the phone!
  11. Ian Lavender was asked but is not available. The Dad's Army 'LOST EPISODES' tour is going around the country at the moment and is well worth seeing. The actor who plays Frazer is brilliant!
  12. Michael York is now based in LA and was not available for this show.
  13. We are doing our best guys! Vernon and George are good, rare Bond guests to start with.
  14. Make sure you come and meet Carol, she is a lovely girl and we have some photos for her to sign!
  15. It would be totally amazing to have all four Fawlty Towers stars along but it's not going to happen.
  16. We were talking with Raquel's people but unfortunately it won't be happening.
  17. Susan had a filming job come along but she is the first guest for the next show!
  18. Both Jim and Barbara were invited to this show, but were too busy. I am sure they will come along one day soon.
  19. There will be a mixture of photos, some clothed and some not so clothed.
  20. Timothy was asked but he already had plans for the weekend. If you want to meet Prunella she will only be attending on the Saturday. Other people that starred in the show have been invited, unfortunately many are no longer with us. Mr O'Reilly is at the top of my list!
  21. Invitations have been sent to all three and others so fingers crossed.
  22. I always send a photo and nice letter. I also send a stamped addressed envelope. You can buy US stamps from http://www.usps.com You can also calculate what stamps you need on that site. I think sending dollars would also work, I send Euro's when writing to Europe. Good luck Mike.
  23. Unfortunately many big stars do get others to sign their fan mail through the post. Recently I had a secretarial signature from Jane Fonda which is only a recent development, she used to sign herself for fans. But don't be put off trying, many of the stars mentioned in this thread sign well through the post. I recently got a signed photo from Anita Page and a lovely note with it. She is 97 years old but in 1930 when she was a big star she used to receive 10,000 fan letters a week! In amongst that weekly 10,000 were 100 letters from a fan in Italy, Benito Mussolini.
  24. It's been quite fun. Somewhere out there is a big star who either wants to meet Buzz and the other astronauts or is happy to give up some time for fans. We have just got to find them!
