Star wars for me is the story of Anakin. That is sorted now so why the need for another trilogy of mostly CGI backgrounds and comic characters? Sadly i see the franchise as a license to print money with not much attention or care for plot and direction which is what the original trilogy is much loved and remembered for. Personally when ep seven comes out(sadly) i wont be seeing it. No doubt this will surprise a few posters on here but this is how i feel about it. So what's next then in a few years time episodes ten to twelve? And i bet the people who bought the complete saga (sic) on blu ray and dvd are really that a new trilogy is coming. That means they will have to buy another set oh wait that was the plan all along lets get as much money as we possibly can out of these gullible pigeons i mean fans shall we? But lets be honest Disney needs the money.. No the force is not with them only their(empty) wallets.

As an afterthought wasn't chewie killed off ? So how is he in the new films? Do we really need another trilogy? As a first generation star wars fan imho my answer is a resounding NO!!!!!!! -

hope he is a bit more pleasant this time round as last time i met him he hardly acknowledged me and he was on his mobile as he actually signed my item. if that was my first time i met him i would be slightly annoyed but only slightly mind -

Well it could be Tarantino as he had done signings before in a well known music store in London and the second time he did it apparently hardly anyone turned up. I would have if i knew about it but as always i find out about these things after they happen:( still whoever the guest is i would be surprised if its someone i want and even if it is they will probably pull out at the last minute:( one other thing why do people who post feel the need to inform us of who they have met? A posting with one word or sentence then pages in grey of who they met, why? It must be an ego thing as chances are we all have met them all ourselves. In the last 12 years or so i have met almost 600 guests perhaps i should do the same and clog up the forum? -

awesome rare guest very nice guy met him at a show earlier in the year. we talked about his role in city of death (even though thats not a dr who story lol) and he responded by saying that the powers that be back in 2004 told the makers of Dr Who that this is how they want the new series to be like with action humour and strong scripts. so to anyone who thinks that this classic story is NOT who or if they totally diss it then THINK AGAIN PEOPLE !!!!! Anyway enough of that as i said nice guy and really worth a visit to see him. -
well in honour of this being the 50th anniversary year last november 23 i started with an unearthly child and i have worked my way through all the tv series as i have every single dvd available. so yesterday i started watching the carnival of monsters. hoping to get to planet of the spiders by june the 8th as that will be exactly 40 years to the day when the last episode of that story was originally shown on bbc one. dont intend to rush through them and get through all of them by this november but it will be interesting to see what i am on by that significant date.(novemeber the 23) ill keep you all posted if you like.

i have said it before less is more. its all very well having x amount of guests from several genres but personally i am well spoiled for choice. i am currently on 35 for guests and coming up to a grand already and its not june yet. cmon guys give us working class a chance to breathe eh? ok so i dont have to go for 35 guests but if i want them and they are attending what am i supposed to do? wait and hope that they will turn up again? no i dont think so. the bubble will burst and people like me will stop attending purely because we can no longer afford to turn up at was once a memorable experience but no it seems its money driven and management think that the more guests that are in attendance the more public will turn up. well no i dont think thats the case as if guests are going to be £70 plus and that i suspect is just the beginning then everybody loses and noone wins. i am probably wrong and i can imagine the backlash i will have for posting this but its just my opinion.

Cool guest after all he was in Blade Runner. So with Mr Masden coming as well, if you were to get Daryl Hannah then you would have Kill Bill AND Blade Runner franchises covered well it was just a suggestion......- 50 replies

Very cool guest announcement this Friday at 7 pm
mr fagan replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
bound to be someone from game of thrones, now that would be a change either that or he/she will get announced later today around 6pm (like the last announcement was early dont forget)only to pull out at the last moment so lets not get to excited. nine pages worth of guessing games seems like a pointless embelishment to me, just announce the guests as normal eh? -
Should i be worried? All this talk about wristbands etc what about us mortals who are just turning up on the day and just want one autograph from him? Have i got three different ques to wait through before i get a chance? Hoping to get him on the Friday cos i just know for a fact i will not stand a hope in hell in getting him sat or sun:(

All very well if you can go to every event going -
"whats wrong?" asks the Master "our speed is increasing" replies the Rani "then reduce it" says the Master "YOU ASSININE CRETIN WHAT DO YOU IMAGINE IM TRYING TO DO?" retorts the Rani. brilliant banter between these two renegades from Gallifrey. Glad to have met her a few times and each time was a joy. BBC TAKE NOTE you now have to bring the Rani back and then tribute the episode to this great character actor. Will be missed by many.

Another vintage figure print then awesome cant fault that that will bring my total up to 47. Out of 100 that's not to bad. -
Friday previews is where its at a fantastic opportunity to get as much done before the mad rush on the Saturday. To people that moan about not getting time of work i say come on guys you know way in advance when the shows are happening. Book the time off asap wont be a problem then. If you know you are going for definite then what's the problem? Advance planning isn't a science. Just common sense.

it is annoying. I have seen that picture signed by Jeremy loads of times. You would think though that Jeremy would have said something about it but then again he isnt going to turn down money to sign it is he? This is the thing where after you have paid your money youre committed to getting the autograph as no refunds are allowed. Once you have handed your hard earned wonga over thats it game over.... Just like when i was really peeved about Jenna L Coleman last year where she was insisting on personalizing everyones pics to stop the scalpers on ebay etc. Though i was lucky enough there though to safely remove my name from the one pic i had signed by her even though i got no intention of selling it but they (the guests) dont know that. You just try and get Kenny Baker to sign a single blank white index card. WHEW that was a challenge and a half that was....
