mr fagan replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
Yes now we are talking. Another adjustment to my list and budget but worth it. More walking dead guests more walking dead guests more walking dead guests more walking dead guests. Please. Only four days to go so anything is possible. -
Guest Cancellation - Diana Muldaur
mr fagan replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
Agree with Mr brownstone. Lots of people attend these shows depending on what guests are attending. So once you have pre booked then you are committed. And if said guests YOU want to meet have pulled out then tough we got your money so HA HA...... -

Didn't she attend an autographica a while back? Probably the only time where a guest had more photos on offer than anyone else. -

And so it begins the curse of guests pulling out a week or so before the event. Oh well one off my list now i suppose as long as he is the only one.... -

mr fagan replied to macfetters's topic in Cardiff Film & Comic Con 2014

Hi all just browsing through my collection of boxed and carded Doctor Who figures and i see that i need six autos from Matt Smith. My question is will SM be able to get mr Smith again to one of the shows in the not to distant future? I am sure i am not alone in wanting to meet him and get his autograph. While you are at it get Jenna Coleman as well. I did not bother last time as the item i want her to sign was not available then. Thanks guys.

What Quotes Are You Getting ?
mr fagan replied to chloepop's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
I am having a tiler in later to give me an estimate on my kitchen does that count? Seriously though unless it is something really specific i just let them go for it. My summer glau is awesome as she wrote to "Anthony come with me if you want to live" without me asking her. -
What do you get signed?
mr fagan replied to Carlosreddevil's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
To the poster who has metal posters and steel books signed do they eventually go rusty or anything? I ask as my terminator 2 video box set ( yes i know i am going way back now) has gone all rusty. And my Dr who video tins from 1993 have gone the same way. If i left them out in the rain or didn't look after them fair enough but they have only been in the house on the shelf.... So my point is is it worth getting things like this signed if (eventually) they start to decay? -
What do you get signed?
mr fagan replied to Carlosreddevil's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
As well as 10x8 photos i also get books and carded figures signed. As a big Doctor Who fan i try and get as many exclusive carded figures signed this rules out the first three Doctors out sadly. Also plain white index cards are a good thing to have. In July i had john hurt sign his sonic screwdriver and figure. Basically you not confined to just photos. My star wars chronicles book has a mere 66 autographs in it after 17 of travelling and attending various shows and now that nine of those people who have signed it are no longer around i think to myself i am so glad i got them when i did. At the WLFCC if you see someone getting a lot of Dr Who figures signed esp by Nicola Bryant chances are it will be me..... -
how diamond tickets would work?
mr fagan replied to eccheetham's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
So if you can ONLY meet a diamond guest with a diamond pass that's the majority of attendees missing out. Tickets for lfcc next year on sale NOW only means that more people will turn up on the day making it even more chaotic than it was in July and that's saying something. -
Yes sadly like everything else anything is only worth something if someone else wants it. I could try and sell my Danny glover autograph and ask £40 for it but i bet i wouldn't even get £20 for it. Makes me wonder who the real mugs are...

Even if the impossible is made real we would no doubt have to pay for it. Especially if he/she is in anything that's in vogue at the time of the announcements. Even though i really wanted and did get four john hurts last time it did pain to part with my very hard earned green. Still that's way it goes i suppose.

Latest Guest Announcement - TRACI LORDS
mr fagan replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
Cant leave it to chance either i bring my own or i leave it. Pity really as not only do i lose out so does SM. Rather than get someone's auto on a photo from a franchise i am not familiar with just for the sake of having their auto then i leave it. Pity really as Blade is one of my favorite films in recent years.... -
Finally got to Logopolis last Friday. Today i start Castrovalva....

Latest Guest Announcement - TRACI LORDS
mr fagan replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con Winter
So does anyone know if pics of her from Blade are available? I have looked on the net for screencaps and to no avail. Any i do find are from Blade 2 its as if the first film did not happen. I would love a clear pic of her from Blade but no doubt it will be a no no. I know you cant please everyone all the time but if a guest has a fairly long CV then lets have examples from most of their work not ten different shots from the one thing they are most remembered for... -

I take my own retractable sharpies as you don't worry about the top. Also having a selection of about ten different colours gives you better scope on what colour to use. Depends on background or what the main character is wearing. My war doctor figure signed by mr hurt in bronze sharpie looks totally awesome imho. Looks even more impressive now i have it signed in gold by Paul mcgann. Nothing worse than a dark photo or a dark area signed in black that is a no no.
