  1. Well for me it was three firsts, i was the very first person at the gate for EC2 this morning (in all the yrs i have been attending these shows i have never ever been first before) and secondly i was the very first person to be in the q for the prepaid ticket holders and finally first in getting VT number ONE for Alex. After a slight hiccup and we were told to come back AFTER her photoshoot me and my wife and daughter joined the q and was finally able to meet her. I had 2 items signed a glamour photo of my own that i took to the show with me and a flat packed futre sonic screwdriver box. Alex kindly signed the box using my orange sharpie and the photo with my purple sharpie, my photo dedicated to me and the box just her signature on it. This made my day complete as this was exactly what i wanted and she was the last guest i needed for the day. I must take this opp here to thank TooTall for clearly explaining the situation re the new 0 blue tickets and when we could come back to meet her and get the autos. Many thanks as at least you allayed our fears there back then. Top man Many thanks once again. As to Alex herself a very nice lady so so glad to have met her and to have had my items signed EXACTLY how i wanted them. ( SEE BRINGING YOUR OWN SHARPIES AND 10X8S DOES WORK) lol. Many thanks for a memorable experience. Keep up the good work
  2. Well all of the following i will be meeting come hell or high water. Karen Gillan Tom Sizemore Lee Ingleby Sir Derek Jacobi Walter Koenig Vivica A Fox Erin Gray Gil Gerard Camille Coduri Lisa Marie Veronica Cartwright Lysette Anthony Jeremy Bulloch Temurea Morrison Kaye Power McGowan Jess Harnell Richard Franklin Mary Tamm Sarah Sutton Garrick Hagon Louise Jameson Sylvestor McCoy Sophie Aldred so that should keep me busy over the weekend. But having said that even though this is a long list a lot of it really depends on the choice of photos on the guests tables. As a few times i have crossed a few people off my list purely on the lack of nice photos. Wherever possible i always try and bring my own. And failing that well i guess i just have TO MAKE MY OWN. It may seem strange to a lot of you out there that i sacrifice an auto opportunity just because the photos are not there but believe me 10x8s are most definitly where its at. Hve a good time yall and see you all there.
  3. Even though i raved about the appearance of Karen at this show recently i was gobsmacked to see her auto is £25. OK she is hot property at the moment but hey she lives in this country so no airfares etc. Dont get me wrong i am glad she is coming and i really want to meet her but as i was going to get four autos off her looks like i am now down to one. Usually the Star trek guests and big stars are £25 but Karen? come on guys whats happening? I feel sorry for the people who cant afford just one of her let alone two.
  4. Sadly i was unable to make it this weekend but a very good friend of mine has got who i wanted (hopefully, as he hasnt failed me before) But reading this has made me post a reply re photo ops etc. Wherever possible i always try and get a "over the table shot" as i would rather that than pay extra for a professional photo. One such photo i will always treasure is my shot of me and Carrie Fisher leaning over the table. It may sound tight on my part and i know the revenue that the photoshoots generates for you guys which is fair enough, but when you have x amount of guests to see in a limited amount of time then for me its autograph quick table shot and away, its less time consuming and a lot easier on my part. Everyone is different and i know that a lot of you guys prefer a photoshoot to an autograph. Thats what makes these shows interesting is the huge variety of interests and preferences. Keep up the good work guys and ill see you in July .
  5. Well i for one im bloody impressed for such a big guest. Having had the pleasure to have already met her (albeit briefly) at a dvd signing event last November it will be most welcome . And i will be able to get my 10x8 photos signed at last as there was a very tight restriction to what you could get signed. So for anyone out there who is miffed and dissapointed at Miss Gillan attending this show just remember that you cant please everybody all the time. When a guest is announced from something i am not a fan of or dont follow i dont go off and do one. I think "oh well thats saved me a few quid" almost with a sense of relief. If Miss Gillan is reading these posts i hope it will not put her off from attending as i am really looking forward to meeting her and a few other FANS are as well no doubt. Being adult and sensible about this will be more beneficial for everyone concerned,OK so Karen has been announced now for this show then maybe later on someone from Twilight or Stargate will be announced, great bring it on lets all have a great time at these shows and enjoy it for whats its really all about. "If its stopped being fun give it up" PS i chose Twilight and Stargate as just two random programmes that i do not follow just thought id say that to avoid a bitter backlash from the fans. Looking forward to the LFCC this year as i always do and long may it continue unless other people out there have other ideas.
  6. Well for its worth here is my list Fawlty Towers cast Patrick Macnee Diana Rigg Christopher Lee Roger Moore Richard Wilson Annette Crosby Harry Dean Stanton JEJ Sir David Attenborough Rowan Atkinson Bob Hoskins Ian McDiramid Graeme Garden Sir Ian McKellan To name but a few but basically anyone who hasnt done a show before. Quality rather than qauntity is the key.
  7. I know the price isnt set by you guys but hey if we start going down this road then who knows where we will end up? I am a big auto collector and there is an endless list of people i want to meet and get their autos but £250? hell!!! I agree with a lot of other posters here lets get a high calibre of actors who have never done these shows before. Roger Moore Christopher Lee etc etc i think would be more beneficial to us collectors of actors and film stars. Dont get me wrong i know there are a lot of you space enthusiasts out there and all the best to you, but as much as i would totally love the chance to meet Harrison Ford etc i wouldnt even think about shelling out xamount of cash out for just one auto. In the case of Mr Ford and Hammil i would love to get 8 or 9 each of them,(i stress here im not being greedy its just i have a lot of stuff these guys can sign for me) So in a nutshell no i would not pay way over the odds for anyones auto no matter how much of a fan/collector i am. I recently paid a bit more than i expected to get Matt Smith and Karen Gillans autos at a dvd promotional signing, it broke my heart and bank balance and only now the wife is starting to talk to me again. To quote a companion of a famous Time Lord "If its stopped being fun give it up".....
  8. nice one dont suppose we could have a "family" reunion and have her screen hubby and daughter there as well?
  9. [yes thought would make your day Mr Wolf so lets get some 10x8s ready but you know the danger there whenever we do that dont you?
  10. awesome guest nice to see us Predator fans have not been forgotten. Lets hope there will be a nice selection of photos from Predator available on the day. Trying to find one elsewhere as yet to no avail. With this guest now that brings us four out of the main eight characters. So there is hope for all concerned that we may get as many as poss, natrually leaving out the obvious one but hey 7 out of 8 cmon noone can complain about that. Next year however sees the 25th anniversary of the original Predator film so you never know.... Dont want to push my luck but any chance of ANYONE from Predator 2? keep up the sterling work anyway guys
  11. yes it is a great shame that the show has been cancelled but hey look on the bright side at least we have other shows to go to later in the yr so its not all doom and gloom. I can understand the frustration of the people who have forked out for air fares hotels etc etc but in the situation surely its better to NOT run the event rather than run it with a poor lineup of guests? I have said before to many people it would be better to have two shows a year with a bloody fantastic high quality lineup of guests rather than have several shows to go to. OK i understand that just because there are lots of shows in the year we dont HAVE to go to them all but i would much prefer to go to ONE Autographica and ONE LFCC a year with a high quality guest list. This i think would encourage more people to save up and have a fantastic time at both shows a year rather than fork out for one show a month (or whatever) A lot of people i talk to re the shows and guest i have met over the years seem really interested and sincere and would love to come. Would it make more sense to approach this with "less is more"? personally i think it would. PS looking forward to LFCC AND Autographica later in the year and i got a lot more time to save up for them now as well.
  12. awesome news hope to meet her at this show seeing as the show in March has been cancelled. I was lucky to have met Peter Diamond a good few yrs back but the chance of meeting another Tuskan Raider is too good a chance to miss. As i get a lot Star Wars Vintage Figure Prints signed by the respective actor and seeing as i didnt have them when i met Peter, this means i can now get a Sandpeople figure print signed at last. Nice one guys.
  13. Hi well i must say im impressed by Veronica Cartwright announced for the show in March Now i know this is going to be a big ask but is there any chance of getting anybody else from the classic film Alien? We had John Hurt which was an awesome experience and i for one (like a lot of fellow fans out there) would love to get as many (or preferably)all the cast memebers from this epic slice of cinematic history. The likes of Harry Dean Stanton and Sir Ian Holm would have fans flooding through the doors to get these rare guests. I can fully appreciate the cost and logistics in getting some of the more desirable people to the shows but hey if anyone can pull it off you guys can (i still cant believe i met Denis Lawson for crying out loud) keep up the good work and heres hoping for more Alien guests and if you can throw in some different Predator guests as well well that will be bordering on me totally flatlining... Many many thanks.
  14. Hi to you all, as i am a keen fan of the programme Bargain Hunt i was wondering if it was at all possible to try and get a few of the experts of the programme AND Tim Wannacott ,this i think would be a breath of fresh air and also open the door for a new branch of attendees IE antique collectors and give fellow collectors the chance to meet the experts and chat about all things antique etc. After all we have astronauts for the space fans /collectors so why not something fresh and different to cater for the antique fans/collectors? Anyone from the programme would be much appreciated.
  15. If its a supporting cast member who was in all three original films with a speaking part and hasnt done any signings before then it could only be Dennis Lawson. If it is then HAPPY DAYS by using logical deduction and ruling out anybody from eps 1 2 3 it could only be mr Lawson. If its not and is somebody else like JEJ or Ian McDiramid then great. If its anyone of these that would be cool as it would be such a breath of fresh air to have a guest of this calibre. Nice one Showmasters whoever it is i am sure the fans will much appreciate it.
  16. On the whole a very pleasurable experience not one guest was not giving off any vibes along the lines of "god get me out of here" Met Kristanna Loken again still gracious and lovely as ever. Liz Sladen, quick hi ,auto and away to go but she did sign a nice SJA pic using MY red sharpie (thanks Liz). Lenora well what can i say? even though she spelt my name wrong but i wont let that trivial thing spoil it. Sean Pertwee came over as all Cockney Geezer but an absolute gent and a great guy to boot and hope to meet him again sometime. Matthew Waterhouse was cool commented on the photo i had brought with me. Micheal Culver again a total gent loved my Chronicles book and was impressed by the fact that he was the 63rd person to sign it. Sean Young bit quiet but lovely and i was suprised when i found she did write the quote i wanted on my pic. Tom Noonan nice guy he was my first on Saturday. Bob Anderson a man of few words but i understand this as he didnt look too well. Andrew Clover Aiden Turner a bit of a quick meeting in sign and out but hey at least i got him Met a few others as well so all in all a very good weekend roll on the next one
  17. I was quite lucky as i had one or two quotes on my pics. Matthew Waterhouse - "now ill never know if i was right" on a pic i found and printed off as he was holding his brothers twine belt prior to his destruction. Tom Noonan - "people want paradise" on a Robocop 2 pic Micheal Culver - " no ship that small has a cloaking device" again on a photo i found and took with me Sean Young - "do you like our owl"? her first line in Bladerunner Kristanna Loken - "i like your gun" from a nice Terminator 3 pic Lenora Crichlow - "to antony sorry" as she spelt my name wrong on the photo that i brought with me Andrew Clover - a good dad i salute you, not a quote as far as i know but unusual all the same i did meet a few others but that was all the 10x8s signed personalised with a quote that i had to ,join the many others that i had from many previous shows. I am proud of my Leslie Schofield for example "shall i have your ship standing by?" or my Peter Davison "an apple a day keeps the.. ahh"
  18. EDIT by QS: Like Rhi stated below, selling is not allowed per the forum rules. I have edited your signature for the same reason.
  19. Like other certain actors that i cannot name for legal reasons it still baffles the s*** out of me when they say that they will not sign this or sign that. What difference does it make to them? If these actors are concerned about being typecast then why take the bloody job in the first place? If i was an actor and i was offered the part of say a certain Time Lord (for example) i would be more than happy to A take the job and B be very PR about it and when the time came for me to leave (even though i wouldnt want to go) i would get on and add another role to my CV ,i mean for example look at how diverse Johnny Depps CV is he has no danger of being typecast each and every role he has done is totally different. I have a set of 10x8 of each of the Bond actors but the chances of Mr Connery signing it are very slim still nil desperandum I can see it now when and if i meet Mr Rickman he will tell me"No potter no hard no thieves no quest" so it would just be a plain background publicty shot of him as himself then, well better than nothing i suppose
  20. After looking through my list i have come up with the following guests that so far i have nothing suitable to take with me to the show to get signed. Sean Pertwee Matthew Waterhouse Tony Marshall Rafaella Hutchinson Andrew Clover David Bailie Tom Noonan Bob Anderson Mark B Wilson Micheal Culver As i stated before i have got images of all of the above BUT i have no means in getting them blown up to a nice clear 10x8 size photo which is a great pity as they are all pearler imgaes and the Adric photo in particular is stunning. Any help in this matter wopuld be greatly appreciated. anthony.fagan@homecall.co.uk
  21. Yes id go with £15 but hey if they are only £10 happy days i like to think that the cheaper they are (guests in general) the more that we (the customer)would buy id liek to have 2 or 3 Sean Youngs but at £25 a pop thats not possible still nil desperandum and on we go.
  22. Hi as i am making my list of the 21 guests and what days they are appearing in i was wondering if we have days and prices and Russell Tovey and Lenora Crichlow? I am guessing on £15 each and they will be there on Sat just like Aiden. Dont get me wrong it would be nice if they were there BOTH days but this will probably not happen. If my predictions are correct then my target on the autos alone will be £355.Not bad i suppose for 27 autos from 21 guests.
  23. Yes, if you post a list then maybe someone on here can help. If you can email me at anthony.fagan@homecall.co.uk i can then email you the images i have found and stroed in a file on my pc cheers and thanks.
  24. I know this has been mentioned before and no doubt a lot of people on here will come out with the same responses but, i have made a list of the guest that i will be meeting (21 so far) and ten of these i really am having trouble finding suitable photos to produce my own 10x8s to take with me rather than HOPE that there will be suitable photos at the tables. I always try and bring my own rather than rely on waiting till i get there only to find there is a choice between photo a or b or a plain background/costume shot. Screengrab photos are most definitely where its at. Any help would be most gratefully recieved.
