Hate to say it but agree with everyone else. Guest announcements make ticket sales. For example Im pretty sure ticket sales have rocketed since Peter was announced for LFCC.
Would have loved to do this event to Jed wasn't a big enough draw for the money. Was waiting on further announcements to make a decision which sadly never came.

Not as big as LFCC but plenty to see and doooo. And if bored pop into MK? Plenty of shops... mehbeh.. I duno.. Never been to MK before... (Did collectormaina the year they did it in London)

Im not agaisnt them coming. The whole secret things a good idea. I would be put of by the legion of pubescent teenage screaming girls flinging themselves in robs general direction. The smell of hormones and pubity would make me gag.

Ok Ive done about 8 cons with showmasters before and knw the drill pretty well. However with the free entery its kinda thrown me. How early should I get there to start queing. Usually I am for and hour - hour and a half before hand so what the plan and how will it work? And how early is every one getting there?

Ok im throwing this out there.
A very big over the pond (not naming any names) con has a WETA stand every year. It makes me a sad panda to know we the great british public do not have this.
Past UK LOTRS cons have had WETA members over to do talks and signings so im wondering and putting forward that we have someone who worked on LOTRs from WETA over...
Or maybe just Alan Lee or John Howe... or both.... Or all three?

Yes I noticed the banner was gone on their website, doesn't bode well, does it?
Its not boded well for a while tbh. I know David said recently that there working on it but to not have even one guest (Even like Mark Fergy who just stabs an orc and then you never seem him again) isnt good and for SM to have gone very quiet another.

I have to agree Im disapointed this doesnt appear to be going ahead. SM should be upfront and say at least were still working on it and trying our hardest but with the banner gone its not a great sign.
Personally I would now wait till after the first hobbit film as everyone will be conning again and they will all be in demand.
But still...
