  1. I think you are missing the point of what Bunny has said. She would not have got a ticket if she was not looking forward to going to the event weekend. I know from chatting with her on Twitter etc that she loves doing the events. She meets up with other people at the events and thus fills her days and then some. And to say "To focus on one particular aspect and let it become a downer on everything is a bit much IMO." is a strange comment to make seeing as the whole theme of this thread started by the original poster was about photo shoots. All Bunny was doing was giving her opinion on that aspect, and thus focusing on the theme of this thread. Where others may take threads off on a tangent, she has kept on subject.
  2. And that's great for you. It's just a shame for us fans that have been to other events and met the actors maybe even several times that there will be no 'new' shoots for us to get if that makes sense. This event is not planned for ST-event veterans only, there are many who are coming who has never been or met actors/actresses from Star Trek before. As it isnt a exclusive gents club you cant expect SM to fulfill every visitors needs and desires. There are those who don't want theme or group photos so where do they draw the line? Photo session photos seems to sell pretty good anyway. I think most visitors are generally happy that their favourites are coming all the way to London to meet their fans. And for many a first time. It is not a Gentleman's club and I know Bunny would not in anyway suggest that the organisers should cater just for her or convention veterans over and above everyone else. From posts on here, and conversations with two of the people elsewhere, what is being said is that the type of shoots that are being spoken about can and have been done elsewhere. People are not expecting miracles, but just disappointed that things they know have been pulled off before are not now. Like you are expressing delight and happiness, they are happy to be going but a little disappointed that some things are not being done. And Yes, there are many thousands of people coming to the event, and it will be huge. But sometimes, when things do not workout the way some people would love them to, then they are obviously disappointed. I know that the people I know from here who are going will have a blast at the event, even if it is tinged with a "what if" over "missing" photo shoots.
  3. The schedule of events etc is usually posted in the week before the event itself. For some this may not what they would like to hear, but for major events of this size and the fact guests are being invited right up to the last minute, the structure will not take a final appearance until the final week at the earliest. This is standard for any event, whether it is for a signing event, or even a trade show at Olympia etc. All I can suggest is to work a personal schedule as early as possible for the days concerned so that you will be left with time to spare rather than missing out. There is always stuff to do.
  4. You will generally find that guests have an event staff member assisting them, so it is unlikely they will be alone. I personally would give them space when not at the autograph table/photo shoot area as they are allowed down time. Also, if one starts approaching them, then many will more than likely follow and that may cause chaos so to speak. ^^^ What they said above as I am still slow on the keyboard
  5. The final guests have already been announced.
  6. That's good to hear, most people get round this by using mobile phones with in-built cameras My camera can cope with low light levels, so no flash issues there Nothing beats a damn good camera.
  7. I can see you are new to the forum, but that comes off as sounding rather rude to Showmasters. They put in a hell of a lot of work trying to get guests, and I would be shocked if tyhey had not tried to get marquee Bond guests for Autographica or EMS etc. They never settle for second best, but garnering a vguest is easier said than done.
  8. What you want does matter, but you need to understand that there are limits to what can fit in.
  9. Do you realise Rose is making a film called Everlasting at the moment? that's cool, big fan..know where it's being filmed, any chance? :) Pass
  10. It looks like Autographica have all the Bond guests with 13. Maybe that is being used to showcase the anniversary.
  11. What I think you are doing is clouding your personal wishes with what may have already, and probably was, on the planning board subject to contracts coming back. As has been said before by myself and others, it is not the event yet and further things can and will be announced. Just hang on in there.
  12. Grimm is very good. I didn't think it would be anything special, btu it keeps you glued to the screen...literally!!!
  13. How many times have seasoned convention and event attendees like yourself, myself and others said this yet ended up going "oh well, might as well see this one seeing as I am here"
  14. Build a baseball field....it worked for Kevin Costner
  15. Me so sad. I thought I had lucked out there I guess I will have to settle for a crunchie bar
  16. A dinner invite...I feel so honoured ;0 Central London....posh!
  17. Weren't the last announcements made on Facebook the last ones for the event?
  18. Posted Today, 02:34 PM We are sorry to announce that Jaimie can no longer attend EMS. We wish her well and hope to work with her in the near future. Any Photo tickets will be refunded as soon soon as possible, but please bear with us as we have a lot to process. Thanks
