As with any event, guests can be signed up right up until the last moment. It is rare for a final line up to be announced as final.

It has been confirmed thay refunds are being processed at the moment. Once they have processed yours, it takes two working days (weekeneds not included) for the bank to give it to you. You need to check with your branch as to whether a refund has been presented to them.

Sorry if i have given a novice approach to the forum. I totally understand and agree with your points. I am new to conventions and from my very limited knolege, i think DSTL will be a very big Con compared to most future UK ones i will go to. I only wonder if there will be a Star Wars convention of this magnitude in the UK. Not that this is a reason for SW fans to gate crash a ST convention. May The Force Be With You If you have seen a film called Fanboys which centres around some friends raiding Skywalker Ranch to see the rough cut of Episode 1 before one fo them dies from cancer, during their pursuit of the proverbial Holy Grail for Star Wars fans at the time, they visit an informant at a certain Las Vegas Star Trek Convention who turns out to be William Shatner himself. There are humerous confrontations throughout the film with Star Trek fans, so this is why I think it would be a tad humerous if someone did turn up for one of the parties in Star Wars cosplay. There has always been healthy debate and rivalry between Star Wars and Star fans. The fact this is an official Star Trek event is kind of irrelevant, the fact it is a solely Star Trek themed event would present a perfect chance to have some humerous photos and fun. Think of the battles in cosplay for the photos. Great post by the original poster. I would highly recommend Fanboys as a film.

Not all events, exhibitions etc list main traders. Everyone is different. Also, even if such alist were displayed, anything said dealers usually sold is not guaranteed to be on sale. After all, they could have trouble with stock approaching an event which is beyond their control. Going there with an open mind as to what may be available is probably the better option.

I think "expect" may be jumping the gun. Just because LV sold it does not mean London will. Dealers in the States may sell things that ones in London will not. Going there with an open mind is probably the better option.

Having been there, the facilities are very good. On the downside, they are pricey there. Whenever I go there I make sure i have drinks and food with me.

I give you great respect for this post. It takes a lot for someone to look back and re evaluate. And being ganged up on is something I have had in the past. It makes you feel like you are the only person thinking something and everyone is against you. And Yes, I can honestly say I was coming from a helpful place. I only did it as others were unsure of her restrictions etc. Not everyone in the world is working an angle gto wind someone up. Some of us are actually kind people who like to help without desire for reward.

I have not said anything horrible about Lindsay, and never would about any potential guest. I am a long time fan of these type of events and a buzz for me is not only meeting guests, but seeing the other fans meet there idols. I have seen many a fan looked so overjoyed. And, if you met her and were overjoyed, I would be chuffed for you. Simple as. You seem to have taken my information as not nice, and it simply was not posted as that or meant as that. I was just doing so to hopefully help someone who was a fan of a guest and wanted to meet them. I did not want you, or any other fan of LL, to expect it to happen at the moment as she does have some restrictions on here. Showmasters have signed some top level guests, and some people may expect tham to be able to make a call and get her just like that. My only "downside" comment I have made is that the circus that follows her around in the States - Papps and hanger ons - would be a nightmare to contain. So many people latch onto people like Lindsay to make easy money. I do hope you get to meet her, but please don't think people are anti you or LL if they do not agree with you. Cheers

What is the point in calling me a douche? I have kept up with the story and the Police are looking at her for leaving the scene of an accident. That is what I stated. I have once again read your post and it states "she completed her community service and has stayed clean/sober...never failed a drug test either." To me, and I thought before I replied to you before, that is someone saying she has not failed a drug test. Also, you stated "yes she's allowed to travel her probation ended in March" which mentions nothing about the fact it does not finish until 2014. I cannot know what you are thinking, which is why I politely, and without calling you a derogatory name as you did me, some additional things I thought you may possibly not know. I did this with regards Rose McGowan and you thanked me for letting you know she was filming a movie. You appear to have jumped to conclusions on what I have posted and to what you think I meant. Everyone can and does make a guest suggestion, but why react so harshly when I was trying to be helpful as I did in the Rose McGowan instance? And by the way, staying clean and sober - something she should be commended for if she has managed it - does not mean someone can stay on the right side of the law. Leaving the scene of an accident is breaking the law. So, I would appreciate it if you speak to me with the politeness I afforded you. He is a great guest. Very pro fan. A shame he cannot make DSTL as stated by Jason. Well maybe next time From what Jason posted a while back, he did try for DSTL, but that weekend was a no go. Frakes then said when he was available and EMS worked. That is what I call top duder.

They did post with each cancellation notification that they would be done asap. They have just had EMS, and have several events over the next few weeks. So, asap I am guessing.

I think you need to check your sources dude. Her probabtion has not ended. What you may be thinking of is the fact that her SUPERVISED probation was lifted. This removes restructions of seeing her Probation Officer all the time. Her probation is due to finish in 2014. Her travel is also still restricted to the extent she has to have a Judge grant her permission to leave the United States. As regards never failing a drug test, she did just over 2 years ago, and her probation was revoked. As regards court, she will be facing more appearances with regards to not stopping at the scene of an accident after she hit a man whilst parking her car outside a club. All of it was caught on CCTV and she just went into the club. Her group only returned to the scene when the man hit had been attended to by a Paramedic. If she is found guilty, she coudl be returned to prison as she would have violated her probation requirement of not breaking the law.

Yes. There are signs posted as to when cameras cannot be used - mostly at desks if the guest prefers not to have a flash in their face every two minutes/ Also, you will find that flash photography is usual for the first few minutes of talks.
