  1. The talk vouchers can be exchanged for a specific paid talk at the organisers booth. Having a gold pass should get you priority seating behind the diamond seats but there was some confusion last year and this did not always happen.
  2. I stayed at the Hilton two years ago. It was ok , close to venue , expensive and the internet in the room was not very good. As a place to sleep for a couple of days it did its job.
  3. The gold ticket used to be the one to get if you wanted to get lots of autographs with very little hassle as you did not need a VQ ticket . This was not a guarantee but made a big change in you chance of getting all you wanted. With more and more guests getting the diamond package this has changed and the gold ticket gives you a far smaller chance of getting the auto's with out going back to queuing very early then rushing for a VQ ticket. The closest you would get to having a ticket that made getting an auto easy for a Diamond guest with out having a diamond ticket (but not guaranteed) would be if the gold ticket got the same priority for auto's that it gets for photo shoots, behind the diamonds but in front of everyone else.
  4. Yeah I saw 3 separate queues a couple of times on Sunday. I went to the first two diamond talks on Saturday and I raised the issue with the staff, glad to see that it got fixed for Sunday.
  5. We should also get seating behind the diamonds in their talks as well but that did not happen this year.
  6. Hopefully it won't be the same weekend as the bike event again.
  7. It's good that it was better today but that's a bit late that this only gets fixed by Sunday
  8. Just been told by the black shirt running the diamond talk that gold tickets do not get preferential seating in paid for talks , did this change or is it another paid fir benefit we have lost ?
  9. Reuter Howard's queue had the sign with diamonds golds and vq on it. I was in the next queue and pointed out to the guy running the queue that we do not get priority in diamond guest queue. He told me I was wrong and I saw no pint in standing there and arguing.
  10. Glad to hear this as its location today was quite small and I thought it would be an issue tomorrow.
  11. The goody bag was the most generous that they have ever been. As this is just an extra I thought they were quite good.
  12. VQ tickets are one per person, they will not give you one for someone else.
  13. Just make sure you get stamped :)
  14. The last time Ian was at LFCC I believe was his first show appearance and he was very busy.
  15. We have to agree to differ on that, having to go to the hassel of getting VQ tickets is why I am not bothering with the Diamond guests where previously with a gold ticket they would not have been hard to get.
  16. Gold pass holders do not get an advantage for diamond guests, the queuing advantage was taken away for this ticket type and we now have to do the VQ dash again. To avoid having to queue early to get in and get a low number VQ ticket is the reason to get a gold ticket for auto collectors.
  17. I'm doing the same on Friday, it's annoying but not too difficult. When you exit the station you just turn left and follow the road straight to Olympia which will be on the other side of the road. I'll try and hop on a bus if one is there and apparently Olympia is 3 stops from Kensington High Street Station. Busses will also be effected by the road closures. This is a big pain for me as I booked my hotel room months ago in central London as it was only a short cab ride to the show, no cabs now and a long hike to the nearest tube
  18. There is a flyer on the ride London web page that lists all the roads affected. It looks like a lot of central London will be closed Saturday. https://d1ffaecguugkl4.cloudfront.net/ridelondon/live/uploads/cms_page_media/19/A5_Central.pdf
  19. The top floor had these large soft seats just out side the lifts. There were also a couple of bench seats on the ground floor by the lifts.
  20. The closest ticket type to this to maximise your chance to get all the autos you want is the gold ticket :) This does not guarantee you getting the auto but as you used to get priority on all auto queues it was pretty close.
  21. I do like this idea, but for people like me who have GPs but aren't so fussed about autographs I wonder if we wouldn't be coaxed into selling our Special Diamond Queue Jumper (SDQJ) ticket to other GP holders. The easiest solution is to give back the GP the ability to queue with out the need for a VQ ticket. The Diamond tickets get priority, as they should do as that is why they have bought the ticket. Then GP holders get to join the queue before the standard entry holders . This is in line with the relevant cost of the tickets and how both the talks and photo secions still work. It is only the autos for GP that was changed.
  22. I remember Jeri Ryan having 2 queues, and it was a nightmare. People buy a gold pass knowing they have to get VT's for Diamond quests. If you think this devalues your GP, then simply don't buy one. I've only ever bought a GP once, and honestly don't see the need for one. Yes it's nice getting priority queue access, but even when I've had 20+ guests I've done them all without a GP no probs. The gold tickets have always been sold as a way to avoid queuing. With the Diamond tickets this has been taken away from the gold passes so it has reduced the point in having one. This does mean that people need to think more about weather a gold pass is the best ticket for them or not. As an autograph only collector I have been using the gold pass for years so I don't have to queue for hours before the doors open to do the VQ dash. Its a shame that this has been made necessary again for Diamond guests.
  23. You would then get two photo's so could do different poses. :)
