Had a great day - got to see everyone we wanted to and get pics with everyone too Torri Higginson was my favourite- such a lovely lady. JRD was hilarious too cant wait to get my photo later today. Big thanks to the crew, you do a fab job! :) Edit; just a thought but I can totally understand the need for no personalisation. However when I met Richard Dean Anderson at another con he had a pile of pre signed that he wrote your name on. It worked quite well- wondered if that's a personal thing or something the con organisers could suggest?

Thought I'd post this cause I think its the coolest autograph I've ever gotten! He said he'd never seen anything like it before, which I was a bit surprised at too! Robert Patrick (+me!):

Hey RMC001, that's cool I totally understand there are times that kids can't be left in care etc and I have no problem with that! Perhaps there could be a wee 5 a side for the young ones organised (with help from the MK Dons?)- there were a few kids running about and watching the football!

Just got back from our 9 hours drive to Aberdeen! Had a really great time- fab line up (best being LeVar, David Blue and Robert Patrick- great guys, very talkative and friendly!) A couple of people have mentioned the smell in the dealers corridor- think it was caused by the beer? It led to me and my bf nicknaming it the 'Corridor of Farts'. It wasn't the nicest of smells!! Also I noticed that there were a lot of children there this year, which is cool to see if they are enjoying meeting the guests and seeing people dressed up, but it was obvious a lot were bored. Ive been to other events where they've had creches/child care - might be something to consider? We were walking around with expensive signed items and the last thing we needed was kiddies running around our feet and using the hand rails as a play park. Especially when it was really busy (also noticed a couple of lost child announcements) Ive nothing against taking your kids with you, but it might be an idea to have somewhere safe for them to go when you're doing grown up boring things like standing in a queue for 30mins!!

Peter Capaldi (The Thick of It, but think he was also in Torchwood??) or Armando Iannucci- two great Scottish guys!

Hey! Me and my b/f will be Starship Troopers- infantry and fleet! When is the best day to dress up? We wore Trek costumes last year but it was a v quiet day and not a lot of other people were in costume and I felt a bit daft

Hi everyone! I'm getting geared up for the convention (just over a week!) and I have a couple of questions- hope you can help! 1. At the guest talks is the audience allowed to ask questions? How does that work, is there mikes to go to etc... read it's held in the big stadium (on the grass bit??), so it might be different? 2. Do people dress up for Collectormania? My b/f has a snazzy Mass Effect costume and I have a TNG skant we were going to wear on the Friday, but I've seen a couple videos and it doesn't look like people dressed up! 3. I noticed it said there was no party this year? Will there be an unofficial one anywhere- or where are some good pubs/clubs nearby? (We're from Aberdeen- don't know area at all!) This is only my second ever convention (first was was another show last month ) and I can't wait! Most excited for the Voyager crew- it's my fave Trek, a bit gutted Chuckles won't make it though..what are the chances he'll change his mind?
