  1. Hi I agree, nothing goes 100% of the time, but we have a right to complain, just as you have a right to enjoy the show, and expecting us to 'deal with it' is burying your head in the sand, something which SM haven't done which I fully welcome. Having now read Jason's statement, I retract my comments and laud him for taking the negatives on board. I apologise for not fully reading what he stated earlier. Thanks.
  2. The problem is though, whilst Watchdog does indeed get the balance wrong sometimes in its stories, many people still use it as a viable platform for complaining about a particular company. Therefore, someone must've felt strongly enough about this particular convention to complain to Watchdog and that's the issue I think which is being ignored. You can't please everyone all of the time, but it's through mistakes which we can learn to improve things in the future. This, I think, was a bit of a mistake from SM and other parties to allow things to reach this point where people felt that the only realistic way to air their complaints was through a national TV programme. If you nip it in the bud before they take it to this level, then you can avoid this ever happening should there be another DST event next year. From what I gather from reading it seemed a largely positive event through feedback which is kudos in the short term but means diddly-squat in the long term. Yes I believe a mistake happened here and I believe the only way SM can progress is not to hide behind a wall of positivity but to pro-actively deal with those who have issues with the show in question.

  4. Thanks for the above. Would it be better to turn up at the doors open on Sunday or turn up closer to his photoshoot time to get a ticket? Thanks.
  5. Hi I was unable to preorder any photoshoot tickets for Michael Dorn. Will/are they available on the actual day (Sunday) itself now? Many thanks in advance.
  6. Sorry, one further question, Gates' photoshoot is scheduled at 12:40pm. I won't be there until around midday. Is that taking too much of a chance with getting a shoot with her?
  7. Hi I'm planning to go tomorrow. Will there still be tickets for Gates McFadden for her photoshoot available from the booth? Thanks.
  8. Mark Allen Shepherd, the guy behind Morn from DS9. He'd be seriously cool to meet!!!
  9. Sir Patrick Stewart has been a hero of mine since I was 12. On Saturday, actually being in his presence was an honour. Having a photoshoot sat next to him was an even greater honour that was truly fantastic. I cannot understand why there are people out there with no sense of respect, courtesy or decency. I don't know whether he meant it as an extremely sarcastic joke, either way, its backfired. Keep up the fine work and Illegitimi non carborandum, Showmasters.
  10. Thanks Queen_Sindel and everyone else for replying. I'm going to consider pursueing it. I think in light of the fact that it really was a fantastic show, I don't think I'll trouble the crew with a complaint. Unfortunately although I'm local, if I do come back tomorrow, it'll only be to pick up a photoshoot. I will however consider ringing the office or emailing them. Whereabouts is the office number located please? Thanks again
  11. Hi I thought that I post this topic here seeing as its more of a general enquiry than wholly related to Collectormania 16. I would like to make an official complaint against one of the crewmembers at the above show. Suffice it to say, I will not be naming names here but the crewmember in question's conduct was unacceptable and frankly, quite rude. Do Showmasters have an official complaints procedure or is there anything similar? Many thanks for taking the time to reply. Mods sorry if this indeed is in the wrong place.
  12. Hi I had a photoshoot with Robert Duncan McNeill today (Sunday). Unfortunately, I had to leave and I did not have £2 on hand to pay for the P & P. I am unable to make it to the show tomorrow. Is there a way around this? Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
  13. Hi Just a general question, but does anyone have any idea roughly how long photos of Sir Patrick will be ready for collection on Saturday after the shoot? Thanks in advance. Buster.
