  1. Jeff Cohen 'Chunk' from 'The Goonies' Please
  2. To me, Dan WAS Billy the Kid. Everytime I saw a film about him afterwards I couldn't help but picture Dan as the Bill and Ted version was the first time I ever knew about Billy the Kid. "Here's the deal, whatever 'ah win, 'ah keeps, whatever you win, 'ah keeps" "Sounds good Mr the Kid!"
  3. Freedom of speech and all that. I voted for Lundgren over Ecclestone but I'm not going to get into a heated debate about Ecclestone winning on the poll. I think the poll idea is fantastic and for business reasons gives a clear view of who the fans really want to see. I say keep it up.
  4. JCVD, Dolph Lundgren and Sean Bean for me. Although Ian Holm would also be good. These men warrant legendary status and have been around for years. Chris Pine and Zach Quinto are still babies in terms of Hollywood mileage and don't even compare to the above guys.
  5. Love that you're getting all these boxing guests! Roberto Duran is a top name!
  6. Excellent guest! The Boondock Saints is a truly great film. ANy chance of Norman Reedus as well? Nice one all the same
  7. Vic Armstrong recently released his autobiography. Empire magazine said he had a whole host of Hollywood tales. He's played Superman, Indiana Jones and James Bond. He's local. Any chance of trying to get the legend himself? His Q and A would be fantastic!
  8. I had an awesome time talking to Tom on Sunday. I know Genesgal may recall me asking Tom about 'Natural Born Killers' and Quentin Tarantino etc. Tom talked openly about Oliver Stone's personal problems, the crazy shoot that was NBK, Rodney Dangerfield, QT's script, and others. He was very open and opinionated, and it was great fun to hear him come out with that stuff. His talk was very good too, I'm glad I didn't miss it. The experience with Tom was my favourite on the Sunday. And I met Brian Tochi, Christopher Lloyd, Vivica A Fox, Christopher Lambert and Corey Feldman too.
  9. I second all of these, Plus Clancy Brown!
  10. This may be my last showmasters event ever as I'm emigrating to Canada in January. Pretty please with sugar on top try to get any of the below: Kurtwood Smith Erika Eleniak Ronny Cox Brian Blessed Ron Perlman Rowdy Roddy Piper Mandy Patinkin Ric Flair Jet from 'Gladiators' Michael Ironside Lance Henriksen Robert Patrick Rutger Hauer Chuck Norris And anybody from 'Criminal Minds' Shemar Moore A J Cook Joe Mantegna Thomas Gibson Paget Brewster Matthew Gray Gubler
  11. Wow, you've started this event with a fantastic film guest alright! I've always wanted to meet him. And he was born in London! I was actually a huge fan of 'Freaked'. A pop-culture spoof comedy he made in the early 90's. Very underrated and very funny!
  12. I have a friend who I've been trying to convince to come to a showmasters event for at least 2 years now. His firm statement is he won't go unless Kurtwood Smith, Ronny Cox, or/and Erika Eleniak are announced. Although he is a stubborn person, those guests do intrigue me, what are the possibilities? And I see someone mentioned Peter Weller before me, I'd love to meet him, I've been told I resemble him although I don't believe it!
  13. Fantastic guest announcement again Showmasters. Keep those random movie legends coming!
  14. Yes! Well played Showmasters! Keep bringing on the movie legends. Mr Lambert is an amazing announcement. A real film icon.
  15. Excellent guest announcement. A movie legend of Michael Ironside proportions! It's guests like this that make me want to attend.
  16. Ok fair enough. Plain rudeness I agree is unacceptable, but I didn't know that about the disappointed comments not allowed on guest announcement pages. And we still get to bash a guest AFTER the event if they turned out to be rude or horrible. Thankfully that's never happened to me, but I still like seeing those ones out of curiosity. Mainly, I'm still a bit disappointed about the lack of film guests at this one. There are way more TV guests than any others.
  17. I left a disappointed yet very unrude post. I even commented that the latest guest was good for Dr WHo fans. I've been coming to pretty much every event since 2008 and have spent easily over £5000, as a loyal customer I feel I have the right to an opinion and was looking forward to a big film or comic guest taking the shows title into account. Collectormania MK this year has a spectacular line up with a great mix, and to announce Robert Englund again was like adding a cherry to the proverbial cake, but of course a very recent Dr Who guest is only going to appeal to fans of the recent Dr Who.
  18. Mandy Patinkin Shemar Moore David Duchovny Gillian Anderson
  19. And of course not mentioning any names, but other UK events have featured ex wrestlers as guests and they have been huge pulls. I remember talking to the actor Ian McCulloch (Zombie Flesh Eaters, Survivors) at one event and he even asked me "Who is this queue for?" I replied "Bret Hart", he asked "Who's that?", so I said he was a professional wrestler. He then said "Wow, forgive my ignorance, I just thought wrestling was really bad acting". For anybody looking at this post thinking wrestling is fake and not a sport, check out the documentary 'Beyond the Mat', and open your eyes to what these sports performers actually go through.
  20. Thanks for the heads up Simundo, I know of Warrior and Jake Roberts' ego and demons, but did not know that about the Hulkster! Oh well, can I also add: The Nature Boy Ric Flair! Please please please! And The Bushwhackers! I read that they now run a Restaurant in the US somewhere!
  21. Classic WWF wrestlers: Rowdy Roddy Piper Jake 'The Snake' Roberts Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase Fred Ottman 'Typhoon' The Ultimate Warrior Hulk Hogan Superfly Jimmy Snuka Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat Darts player Jamie Caven! Boxers: Jon Thaxton (He should be well easy to get, and fought a great fight against Ricky Hatton, as well as winning the British and European Lightweight Crown) Frank Bruno Andrew Golota James DeGale George Groves Ricky Hatton
  22. Anybody else a fan of the show? It's hugely addictive viewing and extremely good. Can we try and get some names like Mandy Patinkin or Joe Mantegna if possible?
  23. Wrestling guests yes please. I've been to a couple of other UK ones and the wrestling guests always get a big turn-out. Classic household WWE names from the 80's and 90's a definite. Rowdy Roddy Piper Jake 'The Snake' Roberts Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase Fred Ottman 'Typhoon' The Ultimate Warrior Hulk Hogan Superfly Jimmy Snuka Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat
  24. i think the only reason showmasters dont want wrestling guests is because they know they'll be sued by wwe. Think about it, they have collectormania, sportsmania, there is no way they could get away with 'wrestlemania'
