  1. One of the best shows on telly in my opinion.
  2. Was always dreading this day, I knew it was gonna be soon but still does hit you when it finally happens. Its kinda weird y'know, when you see someone famous trend on twitter and you think "Wow - very sad" and today (well yesterday now) Warren was one of the trending topics on Twitter and each and every single tweet was extremely complimentary towards him and that made me smile the fact that I know he made others laugh and smiule so much. Not too sure when the funeral is going to be (because as is known Warren wasnt orthodox jew otherwise it would have been today) so ill be sometime soon, I have a few anecdotes that I'll be putting into an Eulogy (kinda getting used to Writing and Performing eulogies) thats if its required of me as I'm not too sure if there'll be any others in attendance whether closer family or those from the world of showbiz. Appreciate your envy (if that makes sense) many thanks for your kind words Warren was from a bygone era where being PC was unheard of. If they ran his rather funny character of Alf Garnet then there would be an awful lot of complaints in today's televisual viewing audience. But back then (I was a teenager at the time), he was never done in a bad way. It was a somewhat mirror imagish view of society at that time. Warren was in a small group of actors from these shores that was part of a golden era of TV where actors and actresses grafted long and hard without the harnesses of today. I always equate it to the music scene in the 80s when I was a teenager where musicians always performed LIVE, played their instruments and did it fro the love of the music life. Fast forward to today and so many mime - and badly - use auto tune and a whole host of other things. I guess I am getting old as I approach 50, but to me they will always be the good old days of British TV. Alongside Porridge, Warren's In Sickness & In Health was in my top 10 favourite shows and still is. I think its ridiculous just how politically correct we've all become but thats another rant for another day, people I know would often actually mistake Warren for actually being Alf and I know someone once approached him saying something bigoted etc, his response was how the character was basically showing those ignorant fools for who they were. To be honest I knew someone of a certain generation who would use language that I wont repeat on here and would see most people be shocked, but as I said this person was of a certain generation where using such terms was acceptable. That said, Warren was wonderful to be around and a very much beloved member of our family. I totally get where you're coming from, in the 80's things were much different Your kind words mean a great deal

  4. At the moment I'm wiping away a face full of tears as this wonderful man is family, met Warren a number of times and the last time was a few years ago at an event at BAFTA, with what I was told earlier this year at another family funeral I knew this sad news ould just be a case of when. This is a very sad time for all the family and well, I have some great stories of his wonderful antics that will forever stay with me. A wonderful cousin. RIP Warren I know you're up there totally creasin up other dearly departed family members

  10. Brighton and Manchester - havent been to both, guess there's always a first time
  11. Stephen Lewis best known to many of a certain generation as Blakey from On The Buses has passed away My thoughts go out to his Family & Friends. (In this case I'd consider Stephen to be very much a Friend of my Family considering the connection that there is - a relative of mine worked on On The Buses in a very significant role)
  12. SWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. I preordered mine as soon as they became available, this is definitely a must and will look really nice next to my Indy steels, cannot wait for November for these. :)
  15. My thoughts go out to his Family, Friends and those who worked with him (especially Dennis Waterman) in the business at this very sad time
  16. At the end of the day, cosplayers are just like you and I, regular con goers, and are always very approachable, they will more than likely be used to be asked for their photo to be taken or to have a photo with you and its always a really nice little memento of the event. Don[t worry, you'll be fine :) #CosplayersRULE
  17. Ahhhh William Katt, he who could have been Luke Skywalker. But we all know how the casting process went for these two iconic movies. Just so happens I'm a big fan of both. Stephen King = Frickin genius :)
  18. I absolutely detest those who spoil shows/movies for me, some of us don't appreciate having something ruined, mind you in this day and age its very easy for this to occur. Went to see Jurassic World just after opening weekend as I knew what Twitter was going to be like and theres actually an episode of The Big Bang Theory where one character spoils a very well known book into movie franchise and a number of other shows too, what peed me off about this particular episode is that I didn't know that what was said on the show actually happened within the books. But yep, I'm not a fan of spoilers, for example I don't wanna know whats gonna be happening in clearly the most anticipated movie not of just recent times but this year, Star Wars Episode 7 but know that the info is there if needed.
  19. Pretty much as above, but we got there at about 1pm on the Monday Main objective was Rowling in my book, but ended up with her, daniel radcliffe, alan rickman, helena bonham carter, imelda stauton, julie walters and a load more. A few hours before me :) Same as me (near enough) :) I was at the same event recognise the background in your pic :) Would say the most hardcore (in my opinion) moment was wearing just a normal black leather jacket in January for the Morning Glory prem - I was so frickin cold and wanted nothing more than to be on a toasty warm train, then I had some hot chocolate from mc donalds and that made the World of difference and then... Well then the main man turned up and totally made the hours of waiting in the freezing frickin cold more than worth it. :) I think a number of journalists/press/media were ALSO glad to see the main man (he who sets my Heart a flutter) turn up.
  20. I've never been to Sheffield before - but this is ONE guest I would definitely make the trip for. :)
  21. Wasn't gonna use Mr. Spielberg here... But what the hay its Satyrday night and I'm totally hanging back, If ya had the chance how many autos would you get from him? THis is to the op? ANd if one on what?
  22. In many cases those whom we meet have been in different franchises and would like them to be on different items in some cases we very much appreciate the actor/director etc either for their work or their films. Take Sylvester Stallone for example, say you were a fan of Demolition Man, Stop or My Mom will shoot, Cliffhanger. Tango and Cash etc were all youir fave movies you'd like to get them all signed wouldn't you? Its exactly the same - getting what your fav actor has starred in signed. No, I would just want an autograph. That would encompass all his work. I admire the actor for the parts they play. I'm not there for the character. If that makes sense. I admire you for your uniqueness :)
  23. People like this just infuriate me - non fans who just don't care one bit about the person they're meeting just to make a pretty profit and thus ruins it for the "real fans" look at the Stan Lee incident last year when flipping auto dealers got all their stuff signed and true Fans were screwed over. Its one of the reasons I don't do premieres any more because of all the dealers messing it up THis reminds me of the time in 2010 when Bruce (notorious for his signing habits) Willis attended a premiere, the rest of that week there were reports that ebay was flooded with his autographs - then in 2013 when Sir David Jason did a booksigning- enough said Believe me I've had people asking me if I'd ever consider selling my Indiana Jones fedora? Heck no, if I had it my way I'd be buried wearing it
