  1. In March I went to the Channel 4 Comedy Gala there, and went along with Jack Dees autobiography (hysterical book) as I was hoping to get him to sign it, but everyone I talked to this ranged from back of house staff to those very friendly helpful chaps who are just past the bag screening section and then the guy who screened my bag the first time. I struck up a bit of a rapport with him and it went from the usual security questions to everyday stuff and because of the almost immediate familiarity I asked him as NOT a member of staff how/when/where could I get autographs and he told me: "They just drive in, the window goes down so we know who they are then they go straight in and I would love to tell you that theres a place you can go or that you would be able to get someone but wouldnt want to get your hopes up." In fact the closest someone got to anyone that night was the guy that bought Lee Evans award for about 4k or so.
  2. No, Robert won't be there on Sunday now. I'm really sorry about that, I got from your post how much you wer happy about that change. I cant say I'm not disappointed and yep I was very happy but its still going to be a great day on Sunday for everyone
  3. Three friends and I will be coming up by car from Southend On Sea.... Yep the same Southend On Sea Mike Edmonds comes from
  4. I have no idea, sorry. I was was asked to update those topics literally 5 minutes ago, and came on here first to make the change before asking questions about a replacement. I'll update if there's any news. Robert isn't going to be there on Sunday now? Jeez I was really looking forward to meeting him
  5. This is the only reason I am going to go completely over my set budget and fork out £60, £20 for the signed photoshoot, £20 for the cover of Terminator and £20 for the cover of Terminator 2.
  6. I was under the impression that pictures were printed there and then after the photoshoot you collect them later in the day then take them with you to when you get signatures so that, in this case Linda will be able to sign it. Or do I (hopefully not) have it wrong?
  7. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Jumps up and down with major excitement and is the news have been waiting for does a back somersault out of thread to make himself a cup of dandelion sorbet* guess ur happy about that then? Happy, Moi? *Adopts a Luke pose from Jedi* NEVER!!!! Oh for that to happen would see Christmas come early.... Either that or Anne Hathaway expressing her undying Love for me, but seriously a group shot on Sunday will be fab - am so glad I've made the decision to not pay off my Sky bill this week lmao. I reckon my friend is going to keep me under tabs and my wallet under control when we come up on Sunday.
  8. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Jumps up and down with major excitement and is the news have been waiting for does a back somersault out of thread to make himself a cup of dandelion sorbet*
  9. I am extremely excited but doing my best to keep my enthusiasm under control because I have/am being extremely strict with myself as I have a set amount of people I am getting either Photoshoots with and Autos from. i.e. Kenny Baker and as someone said that this will probably be the last time Linda Hamilton does this I want to get her to sign a few things - cant say my bank manager will be too pleased. Other than that I am really seriously truly excited for Sunday.... I just hope I dont get too carried away on the big day because I will be like a thermal detonator ready to obliterate Jabbas palace.
  10. Really? Then I am going to take along T2 and get that signed too. I am going to have to call my Bank later on and see what money I have got in there because I have an idea of how much I'll be spending. Kenny Baker Signature only. Chris Barrie Photo shoot and signature. Linda Hamilton Photo shoot and signature. And if the reports are true that Robert Llewellyn is going to be there on Sunday then Robert Llewellyns signature. Whats the number to Barclays again?
  11. I would pay big bucks for that privilege. The Heart of the Ghostbusters
  12. Jason could you tell me if Robert Llewellyn is now confirmed for Sunday for shoots and signings as the name is there on the first page.
  13. whenever i think of seeing phantom i smile, it was a magical feeling and time, no movie in my life time felt like that before or during, not even "how the hell did it become the best selling/grossing movie ever when its actually a bit rubbish"?? avatar got near it in terms of hype or expectation and phantom is a far better movie than avatar i think. it was just magical movie feel when it came out, I mean prior ppl were actually going to movies just to watch the phantom trailer and even leaving after the trailer! ive never heard of a movie doing that aside phantom! such a shame so many ppl jumped on the lets bash lucas we hate jar jar more than anything band wagan a year or so after that is still going now. such a shame, i love SW and I love PM despite its flaws, cos PM makes me feel like a happy child when I think of it. though imagine how more awesome it would of been with less jar jar, less senate and more darth maul, more obi wan and a more in depth character for captain panaka? Agreed, mostly. I was ten when TPM came out and it blew me away, I still enjoy it now, I agree there are flaws but I there are scenes in all of them which aren't perfect, I never considered ESB as the best one, never really understood the hype it has over the others. Maybe it's cos I'm a massive palpatine fan so I love Sith and Jedi most i think it might be down to age, you were a kid when the prequels came out. though palps is in empire ;-) im 29 this october and as a kid jedi was my fav id rent it every friday after school lol. but as an adult, well even teenager it became empire, its just a much better movie on its own to start but the characters have more depth, the action is better and more dangerous. there is a nice little love story, its just a superb film. but I lvoe all the SW films. p.s thanks to lucas the constant meddler lol, palpatine as played by ian is in empire now I was 34 in March and I think, thanks to ITV showing either Star Wars or Empire every Christmas in the 80's or seeing Empire at my friends house Empire didnt really get much of a look in whereas whenever I went to the video shop it was always Jedi and was the actual first video I owned.
  14. You can tell that its the guy in the video doing that, there are many people who are gifted with the talent of doing damn good impressions.
  15. As this is my first one I am really looking forward to it and enjoying being part of something so fab.
  16. This thread http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=55858 says only sat I think that's the information they were already taking for thinking it was only Saturday. But he's listed for photoshoots on both Saturday and Sunday... The front page says hes only signing for Saturday so now hes going to be there Sunday signing(?) I really hope so looking at the information on the first page.
  17. Is Robert Llewellyn going to be there on the Sunday (which I am very much hoping for) because I thought he was only going to be there for the Saturday(?)
  18. First of all a big thanks for posting this. So we all now know what times we've got to be where we have to be. Just a very quick query, am I right in thinking that Robert Llewellyn is a misprint? Because I thought he was only there on Saturday but you have him on the Sunday in the list? Not that this is a problem because I would love to meet him but we're only there for the Sunday.
  19. I remember going to see Phantom, at the time I didnt have the internet but the buzz was beyond amazing, it was a few weeks before the release and cinemas were having midnight queues for tickets and to do that was something both unique and special. And then the day-well midnight itself, the crowd just swarmed into the cinema, we sat down and the whole atmosphere in that theatre is something I dont know could be rivalled, some one very unfortunate had bought a ticket for the wrong day and was refused admittance but all the incessant and ecstatic chattering slowly subsided. The lights of the theatre went down, and as John Williams memorable theme boomed out whilst the two words that have made the very fabric of film history what it is "Star Wars" shot out across the universe a completely out of control roar from the audience filled that room.
  20. As I'm coming up with friends on the Sunday theres signings I wont be able to get. On my list for Sunday are. Kenny Baker - naturally. Linda Hamilton. Chris Barrie. Danny John Jules. Norman Lovett.
  21. Is it that hot in the UK?? Its been extremely hot today, people have been getting sunburnt. Tomorrows going to be in the region of 22.
  22. Obviously you're a con-goer of a certain age - as am I lol. I completely agree they'd be great guests. You're very correct. This will also be my first con, thats if you exclude Star Wars celebration europe back in 2007. And I am old enough to know better (34) but too young to still get up to mischief I think it was seeing them in the audience together at the soap awards the other night that did it, gotta love the theme tune.
  23. Would love to have: Glynis Barber. Michael Brandon. Bring back Dempsey and Makepeace, thats what I say.
