  1. He's been a Performer on practically everything You're not wrong there! Precisely am hoping that Toby Philpott can attend as well - will be great to have those two together for the obvious reason.
  2. Toby Philpott would be an amazing guest to have to accompany Dave Barclay, lets face it we will already have Jabbas right arm and mouth it would be great to have Jabbas left arm and head movement (plus tongue). Its a MUST to have these two accomplished performers together.
  3. Lea Thompson - For Howard the Duck (a fantastic but very much overlooked classic movie) Robert Watts - Because the guy is a frickin legend: Worked with Kubrick, Lucas, Mr. Spielberg, Harrison, Kathy, Frank et al. Dave Barclay - In my opinion a MAJOR headlining guest. Empire, Jedi, Labyrinth, Roger Rabbit the list is endless. Sigourney Weaver - Enough said :) #LivetheDream
  4. I'm going with a positive attitude in that IF I see her it'll be a bonus and hoping for the best Considering I only have Dan Aykroyd on my Ghostbusters DVD and theres no chance of completing it now And the fact that I met both RIdley Scott and HR. Giger at the same prem - I'm going to get her on ALien.
  5. Glad you're coming Richard will be nice to meet u in person. Awww thank you :) Very much looking forward to meeting you as well :) #MustremembertheHarryPotterDVDpic I've seen you around at many events but never managed to speak to you, so would be good to say hi! Never be shy when it comes to saying hi :) I don't bite lol. Will be nice to reciprocate with saying hi back :)
  6. I refer you to the post I made a few pages ago: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88967&p=1926577:)
  7. Looks like I'm gonna be coming to this - I like the idea plus will be nice to put many faces to the names etc. I'm gonna have to tell my Friend I won't be going back to Southend in the car.
  8. Personally, its all very subjective. Up until a week ago I was only going for Lea Thompson and was hard pressed to find anyone else whom I consider a must want - then with the inclusion of Michaelan Sisti, Robert Watts, Sigourney Weaver and of course Dave Barclay I now have FIVE valid reasons to come to this event. If I remember correctly last year there was Stan Lee in one building and the rest in the other think that this year with everyone being under the same roof I feel it will be a much better Fanfriendly affair :) #KeeptheFaith
  9. Mine are going to be a tad obvious. My top ten starting from being my most fave: Kermit the Frog (in amphibian ). Mr. Spielberg (in person) Harrison Ford (in person) Annie Hathaway (in person) Gillian Anderson (in person) Clean Bandit (in person) Angelina Jolie (in person) Vic Armstrong (in person) Sylvester Stallone (in person) Arnold Schwarzenegger (in person)
  10. Are you frickin kidding me????!?!?!?!!?!?!? Sweet holy goodness\!!!! The legend that is Dave Barclay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow absolutely amazing guest he is up there with Robert Watts and Sigourney Weaver for me :)
  11. I'm probably gonna get shot down for this - hopefully I won't but here goes. With some of the comments I'm seeing in this thread along the lines of "How much?" "Too expensive" "I won't pay that price" etc etc it just always brings to mind the whole thing when it comes to guests of a MASSIVE size that people claim they want to meet, some of these names have just been very unrealistic: George Lucas. Mr. Spielberg. Harrison Ford Pacino, Nicholson De Niro Tom Hanks ALL massive names, all very known names, all names people would love to meet but then comes the reality that these same guests DO come at a price, and more often than not, that price ain't pretty for many. Stallone and Arnie would cost around £500 (ish) but here we have arguably one of THE biggest guests we're EVER likely to see at a con like this SIGOURNEY "FRICKIN" WEAVER who is up there with GILLIAN ANDERSON and PRINCESS FISHER as the largest ICONIC FEMALES in not just sci fi movies/tv but true SCI FI LEGENDS. Three years ago people were bleating on about how expensive Gillian was, last year the same with Carrie and now we have one of THE biggest names in the genre attending at (lets face it a very affordable price) of £95 and its too expensive? For someone as huge as her its too expensive? I wonder how many people would be moaning about Harrison Ford et al being too expensive IF he was the ridiculously cheap price of £200 - its precisely this reason why I often just shake my head when people want such huge names. At the end of the day, you ask for the name, you beg for the name, you plead for the name... Expect to pay the price tag that is associated with the name. Like I said the other day, this is a luxury that we can afford ourselves (once other finances are out of the way, paying orf a mortgage, insuring the car, making sure we have a roof over our head, keeping warm and making sure we have food in the fridge) then we can treat ourselves to something a bit out of the ordinary and in many cases doesn't come along that often - meeting a TRUE ICON. Yes, £95 is a lot of money to many, that I understand but cmon, lets face it Sigourney Weaver is worth it. And *Whispers* we're very lucky to have her at this price. #GreetingsandSalutations
  12. We've been through that question twice about three pages ago. Here's a summary: If you get there early and stay all day everyone has a chance. Precisely, look at how it was with Gillian Anderson - correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't she open queue by the end of the day at her first appearance? Exactly. Also Karen Gillan's LFCC debut. OK she did 1 talk and 2 pic sessions. I got my ticket in Early-Bird.. but she only got to my number / open Q right at the end. After I'd run out of cash.. Got her at MK later though.. I appreciate you quoting me and Yahweh, Queen Sindel :) #Feelsratherprivileged
  13. I might be wrong but I'm sure Showmasters trialed some sort of pre-booking autos for Jeri Ryan for the London Entertainment & Media Show (EMS) in 2011. No idea why they did or if it proved a good idea. I guess there is no real to guarantee how many signatures any guest can get through in a day because there are so many variable factors but do think that being able to pre-book a certain amount of auto tickets would be good for true fans. If that could happen, that number/batch of auto tickets that could be reserved would also have to not be so large as to stop people trying to get an autograph on the day. Not everybody will want to, or be able to pre-book. If you get there early and stay all day everyone has a chance. Precisely, look at how it was with Gillian Anderson - correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't she open queue by the end of the day at her first appearance? I was shocked Gillian went open queue at the end of the day (around 4/5pm if I remember correctly), and I'm sure her VTs were in the 1000+ area. I was even more surprised at this given that she was personalising for all who wanted, and there were no noticeable restrictions on the number of autographs one could have. When she was at Milton Keynes the year after she was even easier to meet and went open queue very early. But lets be honest, as much popular as Gillian Anderson is, Sigourney Weaver will be a bigger draw as a far rarer guest. So was I, was surprised she personalised (that made my LFCC that didand will always go down in memory for being such a wonderful moment) she was on a five per person Autograph thing - best £225 I've ever spent. In my opinion Gillian and Sigourney rival each other they're of both the same calibre (But thats only my opinion) I know how huge Sigourney is but for many its all subjective

  16. A very cool guest - will need to think more nearer the time whether to get her on either Ghostbusters or next to Ridley and HR on my Alien DVD
  17. I'm hoping we will be able to as it would be a tad unfair for those who want it and don't wish to pay for all the added bells and whistles that go with a diamon pass thingy Exactly, Its nice for those who want all the little added bonuses and I have no qualms with that but I'd like to have the option of spending a certain amount of money for an Auto/Pic thats not gonna see me thinking "Cripes!"
  18. I, first of all agree with you over the Mark Hamill comment, he is known mostly for being Luke Skywalker. My stance remains on what would be a BIG guest for an event such as this and a BIG guest that would be seen at a Premiere say, there are a number of big names for an event like this that do spring to mind and Ewan McGregor is one of them, he has a strong link to Star Wars an is known for a number of other wonderful roles - I enjoyed his role in Shallow Grave a great deal and this would definitely see him fitting into the whole multigenre pigeon hole as would the likes of Sean Bean (I know he was in Game of Thrones or indeed the first episode - the only one I've seen) he would also be labelled as a big guest its people like this who would definitely make a show and would certainly fit into that whole demographic. Hayden Christensen isn't really known for anything other than Star Wars and thus would only be known to that particular franchise and not be seen by many as a BIG guest. I very much like the idea of it being Ewan McGregor as thats rather a safe bet to assume its him (Hollywood A Listers are just not what spring to mind when it comes to conventions) I'm glad you appreciate my opinion... P.S. I've not just met Kermit but kissed him too
