  1. Linda Hamilton. Chris Barrie. Danny John Jules. Norman Lovett. Robert Llewellyn. Peter Kwong.
  2. I met both Linda Hamilton and Peter Kwong, Linda for both an Autograph then later on a Photoshoot and she is beyond a treasure. My friends daughter got Peters autograph and he was a very decent guy, as I was (for once lol) taking the Photos he came across even though I didnt really speak to him as a really fun guy
  3. I was under the impression he doesn't sign any autographs Potter related or not Oh he does - I got him coming out of the Donmar recently and he signed an index card for me. And he signed for me at the Premiere for Alice In Wonderland. That was a great moment for me, at the time he was struggling with his umbrella and getting his pen to work, I met this girl at the Premiere who was standing right next to me who has this extra fabulous shot of Alan Rickman signing my Autograph Book and that along with having Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway accompanying it makes it one of my most treasured and most prized possessions.
  4. I'd be up for it for so many reasons. Yes, please lets have one
  5. Theres nothing really I can add on here but my time with Linda is something that will stay with me for a very long time. The most I have put in print is my facebook status update just after I met her which reads: " JUST MET AND SHOOK THE HAND OF THE VERRRRRRRRY LOVELY LINDA HAMILTON AND BEFORE HER KENNY BAKER." And then I met her again at our photoshoot and well.... Sometimes to say less is much much more.
  6. I do have one thing to say and its this, the security was exceptional and this included the whole no posing for pics rule. There was one guest who only gave his name in this weird sounding raspy voice almost reminiscent of James Earl Jones and I asked my friend to take a picture of him and what happened next kind of got a bit nasty. First of all part of Vader is it? Mind you he asked me to call him Anakin, then when I asked if he had a girlfriend or something all bets were off and part of Vaders entourage shoved a blaster into my side and two stormtroopers and a biker scout almost like something out of Reservoir Dogs took aim at my friend holding the camera.
  7. Also one thing that does stick out was when my friends and I were walking around we became a bit concerned for Mr. Kenny Baker and being exposed to the elements and were very happy to see that later on his location had changed to inside the dealers room whoever decided to change this showed a lot of thought and care to a true screen legend.
  8. I cannot give a big enough thank yous to Showmasters, the guys and gals right there at the top, the crewmembers, and everyone else for todays SPECTACULAR experience, this was my first ever collectormania and I assure you it will NOT be my last. One thing I could not get over was just how nice and friendly everyone was, both stars, staff and everyone else. The experiences I had with the stars was beautiful, and I have no idea what else to say but to say I enjoyed it would be a very mild understatement THANK YOU AND THANK YOU AGAIN
  9. What the hell?!?! Damn R.I.P. Dennis, you will be missed by many people.
  10. Sounds like you had an ultra fab time I know this is going to sound like a rather mental question but with Kenny did you notice if he had a gold pen for signing or not - just I have Anthony Daniels signature in black on the gold part of my Star Wars boxset and thought it would be cool to get Kenny to sign in gold on the black part. How was he doing today? Thanks for the invaluable tip, we're leaving Southend very early tomorrow and I'll be wanting to get Kenny Baker, Linda Hamilton and Chris Barrie so thanks for the advice
  11. Thanks for the heads up, its appreciated. Will bring an umbrella along too.
  12. What was she like, how was she with having posed photos and what did you get signed?
  13. For those already there can you let those of us who will be there tomorrow and Monday what the weather is like and also if you know the forecast for tomorrow. In other words will we need to layer up orrrr simply layer down?
  14. You're very welcome. Guests always arrive around the 5 to 6:30 mark, at 5 thats when the excitement surges and people start crossing their fingers. Thats a good idea, thats how I got the shots I did of Anne Hathaway at Alice In Wonderland.
  15. Well thats made (albeit not a good one) my decision final, I was going to get the boys from the Dwarf who were going to be there on Sunday to sign my book, so now its only Chris and Danny. Hopefully Robert and Norman should be at another collectormania/convention soon(????)
  16. I dont like to see anyone upset or disappointed and even though these arent the real thing and just replicas I was of the mind that this may somewhat soften the blow. These were taken at the start of May down here in Southend as part of the film festival: Hope you enjoy these.
  17. You seem to know alot about premieres and stuff and since this is my first one do you know where would be best to stand? I've got a fair distance to travel and I don't want it to be a wasted journey Anything else I need to know? :) I've also attended a lot of Premieres, award ceremonies the Baftas, National Movie Awards and as anyone will tell you, "Dont go up there thinking you will get an Autograph of every single person you want to see otherwise you will be very disappointed." its a lot of hard work waiting around for many hours on end so its always handy to bring a camping stool particularily if the weather is awful. Secondly try not to drink too much because if you do you will be rushing to the toilet every five minutes and this is Premiere suicide because once you leave your much fought for space someone else will jump in it like a flash - this happened on Wednesday at the National Movie Awards and it got quite ugly. Thirdly there is never really a good place to stand as some stars will pose for a few pictures and sign Autographs and some will just walk straight in to the venue itself, this happened with Orlando Bloom, Simon Pegg the other day. Fourth. The more Premieres you go to the more acquainted you'll be with people who do this thing all the time. And of course the more you do it the more likened you'll get to the Autograph habits of the stars because I've already been told who are good signers who are bad signers (i.e. those who refuse to sign) and all that jazz. Fifth. Decide what is more important to you, Autographs, Pictures or Video, as yet this is something I find myself juggling with because I have my Autograph book/dvd covers to get signed, my eos digitial camera around my neck and my Blackberry shooting video, when it comes to the time when people turn up the atmosphere takes over and you have no idea what to do first. Sixth. Calling out to the stars. This is something very tricky indeed because there are some actors who will (as mentioned above) be good signers and do the whole damn circuit but there will be some who will sign with Mr. Bloggs and have a picture with Mrs. Bloggs and then clear off inside, yelling to the stars MAY get their attention and they'll come over OR there will be some stars who will obviously be intimidated by this and clear off indoors and then not only has those who have yelled out ruined it for themselves but ruined it for others too. Seven. As mentioned earlier, NEVER go expecting you'll get everyone on your dvd cover you want because unless you're really lucky this wont happen because there are people like Alan Rickman who refuse to sign anything in anyway affiliated with Harry Potter. Eight. And this one is very important and will make all the difference as to whether you want your Premiere experience to be a good one or a bad one, MAKE sure you wear clothes that best befit the conditions this is why ever since doing the Baftas I wear thermals and a thick jumper as well as an Umbrella ella ella, or in this case Bella, Bella, Bella.
  18. If I could, I would Love to dress up but I dont have any costumes but I do have an Industrial Light and Magic t-shirt and for me thats awesome enough.
  19. Twi lot were fine up my area, i got two pics with him and the paps took one lol Whereabouts were you? I got up to London at stupid o.clock and he was very good with signing, he signed both my Twilight cover and my Autograph book, breaking from the normal Premiere tradition of my friends who are coming up with me on Sunday, my friend gets the Autographs, my other friend takes the photos and I shoot video on my Blackberry another friend joined us yesterday and got some cool pics.
  20. Peter was certainly in London last night at the National Movie Awards, I apologise to all fellow Twilight fans for the fact I didnt take one when he got nearer but people were shoving left right and centre to get covers of Twilight signed etc.
  21. At Star Wars Celebration Europe back in 2007 he was feisty anyway. Those that were there will know that on the Saturday night there was a party outside the excel, burgers, refreshments, music a huge lightsaber battle on the bridge. A small family had gone up to him and asked for a photo and he was more than happy to oblige. I went up to him and asked if I could have a photo, his response was a straightforward, "Nope! Tomorrow." Seems hes very picky who hes courteous with. Hope it wasnt a personal thing
  22. So does my bank account . For every event I work on the principle that this may be the last chance I get to meet them. Costly in the short term but no regrets long term. Thankfully(??) due to Daniel Logan, Jimmy White, Robert Beltran, Sharon Taylor, Stephen Collins, Temuera Morrison, and William B Davis all cancelling their appearance at this event the list has shrunk! Amen. To that. Ditto. I've been hearing more and more how this will quite possibly be Linda Hamiltons last one so I know that the bank manager will be breathing down my neck. But hey, we do it for the Love.
  23. I tell you what I love about "SOME" postmen/women is that they see the very important sticker that says, "Signed for" but still decides to bung it through the letterbox rather than knock on the door for someone to sign it, not like their job is on the line or anything for not adhering to the rules. But hey, at least I've got my Linda Hamilton. Still haven't received Chris Barrie.... As of yet, if I dont get it by Friday then I'm down the library to print out my details.
