  1. Now I am really glad I am coming to this, REALLY glad.
  2. Excellent news. Its always nice to see those who are from behind the scenes, puppeteers etc.
  3. Gary Coleman. Dennis Hopper. Rue McClanahan all, please R.I.P.
  4. did she do a con? Nope, I met her at the premiere for Alice back in February. To be that close to your favourite Actor/Actress was incredible.
  5. Oh and I also forgot the beautiful Natalie Imbruglia and Holly Valance, my goodness Holly helped make 2002 what it was.
  6. Rachel Friend who played Bronwyn....................... Yes please. When I was younger and turning from a child into a teenager this was around the time Bronwyn was introduced and, well lets just say meeting her would be- okay can someone pass me some cold water please?
  7. *Puts hand up so he can get the Teachers attention* So, what do we call him. Patrick Stewart? Sir Captain Picard? Or Sir Patrick Stewart? *Raises a glass to Sir Patrick*
  8. I met him at that event on the Friday. The queue was a total farce, must have queued in one long queue for about 3 hours. However it was totally worth it as he was saying hello, personalising & posing for photos. Yep the queue was something that I heard about a lot, but the fact he was worth it for you says all I need to know. It seems that sometimes people say things that often bend the truth 180 degrees when they have a negative experience and thus leads other people to think, "Whoa, that happened?" Looking back at things and from what you've said I wish I had queued up now.
  9. Yes he was. My only regret afterwards was that I didn't get two. Like this You have to buy the photo. It costs £10. You have to have that signed. No substitutions. Anything else (you bring yourself) costs £5. You hand over your £10 for the photo then you hand over a further £5, £10, £15, £50. you get the idea. Indeed if someone only wanted their own item signed, that's cost them £15 instead of £10 - the organiser wins! But at least everyone would get a signed photo to show for it. How did you find your experience with getting Marks? Was it good/bad because I went for the whole three days and the accomodation was steep so was bits and pieces of merchandise and it was on the Sunday I went crazy and got more or less every Autograph going. I wanted to get Mark but I heard a number of things which put me off but as this was simply heresy I wont write them here but this is why I'd like to know how your experience was with him. If your time in the queue was civil and if you were happy with his signature etc?
  10. If I may I'd like to add something to David Simmons post: Mark Hamill was at Star Wars Celebration Europe back in 2007 and he was charging no less than £85. I still have the price list.
  11. That would be a cool idea, I've met all three before at Star Wars Celebration Europe and all three are really nice guys who take time out to talk to fans. Of course theres also Mr. John Coppinger who sculpted Jabba as well
  12. I think you'll find that this is echoed by 100% of everyone who attended. Lets just pray and hope that those directly associated with Linda or even Linda herself may see all these wonderful posts praising her and that I am sure I speak on behalf of everyone in saying that we want to see her again in the not too distant future.
  13. You did such a wonderful job with building R2, theres so much I could say here but I wouldnt want anyone to think I was some kind of sycophant but hey here goes. *First of all I doubt anyone could tell that these weren't actual props used in the original films. *The attention to such fine detail, all the little joints moving, the proper lights flashing. *Proper Ben Burtt created sounds emitting from the feisty little droid made it actually seem like one was actually meeting the real star. *All of the above and more, much, much more I wish I had shot more footage that day but this is what I did shoot.
  14. I realise I am wayyyyy out of touch here and most probably peoples Grannies kittens who have mastered the art of reading has read it too and that I am like three years behind as it were but.... A certain book about a girl called Bella and a rather dashing vampire called Edward? Yep the very first Twilight- people, please, I only have one bottle of smelling salts and also realise that I may be the last EVER person in humanity whos read it but hey we all have to start somewhere. Oh, and I'm team Edward!!!!
  15. I have my own theories on jealousy but thats something else entirely. Spoke to my friend earlier and he is happy about me posting this pic as it basically is my Autograph book in shot. The funny thing looking back is I was seriously layered up that day and you can see one of my thickest (white) jumpers in shot I was also wearing my trademark green jumper too plus thermals so as to be protected against the elements which any person who stands for hours on end is liable to be exposed to. But, thank you Draco its nice to be appreciated Here for your viewing pleasure is Mr. Alan Rickman just after he signed my Autograph Book (you can tell from the expression on his face that he has this overwhelming Aura around him, lets face it he is Acting Royalty to the highest degree)
  16. Just tell me where the dotted line is and I will graciously sign.... 10,000,000 signatures if needs be
  17. And of course Mr. Bill Murray - oh to see them all would be like revisiting and reliving my childhood.
  18. It would be wonderful to have Frank Oz, with the amount of things I would ideally Love him to sign I would be such a happy bunny.
  19. Thank you Jason and your splendid team for a very well organised and wonderful event P.S. I third the motion of Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry and Little Nell. And of course Mr. Richard O'Brien, Mr. Bostwick well sometimes words need not be said as those who met him am sure was exceptionally pleasured with the opportunity
  20. It will be good to meet Dave again, the first time I met him was at Star Wars Celebration europe back in 2007 and then last year he did "An audience with Dave Prowse" down at the local college in attendance was also Mike Edmonds (since Dave and him are friends and the fact that Mike is from Southend) at the end of the presentation and people were queuing up for autographs I opted to go last as I had a number of Vader stuff to get signed. When I see Dave in July I want to get him to sign my Star Wars box set.
  21. Yeah, we saw that pic yesterday and that garned quite a lot of people studying that picture very carefully lol.
  22. *Blushes* Thank you, a whole day waiting in the very poor (but typical) Premiere weather, at one point four of us were huddled under my umbrella ella ella, and everyone turned up I went there with the sole goal of getting Anne Hathaway - the video I shot on my Blackberry when Anne turned up and my response is one of those videos that will NEVER be seen on youtube lol. But Alan Rickman signing was a wonderful moment, his autograph is on the page after Johnny Depps. lol and guess what? That index card is now framed underneath a picture of Snape :) Nice touch King. Thank you Also, I was planning on posting a pic from the Alice premiere but I think a number of issues would arise with that: A) I would have to ask permission from the cute American girl behind me who took the picture of Alan signing if I could use her picture on a public forum. Failing that I would have to ask my friend who was standing next to me who took the majority of pictures (while I mostly shot video) if I could use one of the pictures he took of Alan signing. C) And probably most importantly, I dont wanna end up people hating me on here, because on the way up to Collector yesterday I updated my facebook status and mentioned how I was going to be meeting a certain Actress and jealousy reared its head which is why I dont mention it on facebook anymore eeeek lol.
  23. SECONDED! From what I saw it was both Macmillan and Great Ormond Street. It was a very nice idea to do this because they are both very good causes and as well as a wonderful reminder of a very good day. I also wanted to say thank you to those dressed up as Vader, Imperial officer and the troopers for especially taking position by the wall with me.
