I think its a missed opportunity for the BBC to create a bigger buzz (like they already haven't! ) But maybe all the fines over phone in comps being rigged put them off charging people for what would basically be a promo... Still, can't wait til Sat....

Just wondering if there's going to be a name change for the event, as the GMEX has now been renamed "Manchester Central"! It might be more well known as that by the time we get to November! Looking forward to it whatever the name! Wish I could make it to MK for C11 :-(

Channel M is a TV station based in and for Manchester. Frank Sidebottom is a showbiz entertainer from Timperley who made his name in the mid to late 80s, on radio and TV. Once seen, never forgotten. Trust me.

If anyone wants to watch a great (if short) report on G-Mex 2, make sure you catch the 2nd prog of "Frank Sidebottom's Proper Telly Show" on Channel M, it's being repeated quite a lot all week. I'm sure most of you would have seen Frank around during Saturday (esp if you were at the Hot Fuzz talk). I collared him to get a photo (he's a childhood hero of mine! lol) and he ended up talking to me for about 15mins about utter nonsense! I was in stitches..
