Yeah " the edge " was ridiculous, I happened to be sitting in for that talk taking a rest and eating lunch.
He wasn't very impressive for the BTTF talk either.
David Bickerstaff is better, he did the chris Lloyd talk, whitish short hair, David Bradley agent. Much more enthusiasm. He did the BTTF talks in 2015 and I liked him.
I've been to several talks David's hosted at various LFCC and certainly for the first few I felt he was poor, swore a few times* and I recall coming out of one thinking he forgot all about the audience being there as didn't ask for questions from us till not much time left. The Christopher Lloyd talk was really good and felt he helped steer it well.
*Definitely getting better as only swore once in the CL talk

Think the earliest I've started queuing was about 7.30/45. Usually tend turn up bout 8.30ish. Am usually able stay towards the end, heck even left when most stall owners have packed up and I've gone pub with some the comic artists!

apparently somebody has just spoken to SM over the telephone and they have catagorically stated no refunds nothing. if im forced to go ahead with this photo-shoot that i did not purchase (as its diff to what i paid for) then this weekends Showmasters event will also be my last Showmasters event and i will no longer support them in any way. and at moment i have 34 photo-shoots booked usually more but a lot of cancellations , never mind the autographs i was getting.
Hopefully some common sense will apply and something will be offered/sorted. Must admit till something official is announced am hanging fire on some other stuff I was looking to buy before travelling down.

Waiting for updated schedule before booking it. He does pictures at the table?
He has done in the past, but last couple shows seen at he's had 'No Posed Photos' sign up form pretty much the beginning. Things can change though, see guest early enough, if it's towards end the day they might ask if want one and in certain cases they'll ignore the sign altogether - Kim Coates last year!

Regarding Jack, I found out yesterday afternoon that he wasn't able to come because of a personal connection I have to the film. Jack is not able to come because he's got to have heart surgery. He's devastated at not being able to come and would do anything to be there, but his health has to come first.
The Superman group photo was a big deal because this was a major thing to get Terence Stamp to a convention for the first - probably last - time. The hype was to have the super villains reunited for the first time since Superman II was released and was the major, though unspoken, selling point of the shoot, hence the high price of £110. It is unreasonable to expect the event to not offer a refund of some sort because, in reality, it's sold at a high interest for that reason. As such, if they don't offer a gesture of a discount, it would be both unreasonable and generate a LOT of complaints from the people - including myself - who purposely booked the shoot for that reason. And that reason alone.
If there is not the choice to either refund and cancel or refund partially, because it stated all along - Terence, Sarah, Jack & Margot, that is what is expected, then legally speaking, you are entitled to demand and receive a refund because that is not being delivered.
Seen the tweet from Sarah Douglas and now this, hopefully the op is a complete success.

Depending how busy he is and of course if he's happy to, I wonder how many times he'll be asked to write a certain line about Theon from this weeks episode......
-
Disappointing. Only bought the Superman Group shoot last night, typical!! See it's still going ahead but can't see how it can still be justified at £110
now that a key member is missing. Feel either rebate is due or option of full refund as it's not what was paid for.
Quick work on the Sir Derek Jacobi refund, mind.

Oh! I thought his face in the first picture looked familiar. If I spend £30 on a photo just because he hosted the ESC, that would be a bit worrying right?.
Nope!

Done the same but with a female guest......the flesh is weak!!!

As it currently stands, 42 guests. Though still to start cutting it down then there's bound be couple more cancellations which will help that.
I was really brutal I could probably knock it down to around 25 which would make life easier.

Hello, will i have a chance of getting a Natalie dormer autograph if i get there early with VQ ticket or would i need the diamond pass ?. I'm unsure how busy she will be ??
She might get a chance to breathe but that about it! Would think she'll be one the busiest guests all weekend. Wouldn't be impossible to get her if do get a low enough VQ ticket but could be a while if she's not very speedy signer.

Been hopeful of meeting her for quite some time!

When I met Sean Pertwee a few years ago at CM:MK I deliberately got a joint pic of him and Sir Derek from Cadfael in the hope that Sir Derek would make another appearance. So happy he has!!
