  1. I attended Sunday this year and I have to say it was the most relaxed event I've been to in years! Everything ran smoothly, the crew did a great job and all the guests I met were lovely! I couldn't have been happier with the experience. I also bought some friends with me this year to their first event and they had a great time too! One of the things I like most about SM is they will always take on feedback from attendees and every year they make improvements, thank you so much to everyone that makes these events possible. Looking forward to next year already!
  2. Ben Barnes What an absolutely lovely (and very dreamy) man! I was really excited to meet him as I'm a big fan of The Punisher and Westworld and I couldn't have had a better experience. I met him to get his autograph first and was lucky enough to chat to him for a few minutes and he has so kind and also happy to take a selfie with me. He was also great in his photo shoot, I saw him do lots of great poses with everyone. I asked if I could give him a hug for the picture and he was more than happy to oblige. The photo looks brilliant and I was on cloud nine after meeting him. His panel was really good too, I only wish it could've been longer! But it was free so I'm certainly not complaining. He was my favourite guest this year and I'd love it if he came back for another event, I could never have too many pictures with him! Tom Ellis I met Tom for a photo, I would've liked his autograph too but ran out of money! Although it was a brief interaction he was really sweet and was happy to hug me for our picture which looks fantastic. Another guest I'd love to see again someday! Aimee Garcia I had a photo with Aimee too and she was really nice. She seems like a lovely lady and is very good with the fans. Brendan Fraser I only met Brendan briefly for a photo but I was very glad I did as in my opinion he's a legend. He shook my hand and said nice to meet you and the photo is really great! Lennie James Lennie seems like such a nice man, I wish I got his autograph now as he was so friendly in the photo shoot, he shook my hand to greet me and ask how I was and shook my hand again after we had the photo taken and thanked me for coming. I think he's not only a superb actor but also a gentleman. Matthew Lillard As a big fan of the Scream movies I was very excited to meet Matthew. I got him to sign my ghostface funko pop and he was happy to personalise it for me. I spoke to him briefly as well and he seemed really nice.
  3. The crew did an excellent job this year, they were all very helpful. A special shout out to the guy running photo B on Sunday, I had three photo op's there and his queue management was fantastic and I really appreciated that he let me join the queue for Aimee Garcia's AM shoot as I had a clash with her PM shoot.
  4. Just posted mine on Instagram if anyone want's a looksie... https://www.instagram.com/caz_list/
  5. Excellent guest! He's awesome in The Punisher and Westworld, I'll definitely be meeting him!
  6. Highs The fantastic guests I met, they were all lovely. I won't go into too much detail here as I already have in other threads but will just reiterate that SM got some great guests for the event that genuinely seemed to enjoy meeting their fans. The MVP's being Tom Welling, Rose McIver and Rahul Kohli who as far as I could tell took time to speak to everyone that went to get their autographs. The amazing crew who did so well under what must have been a lot of pressure at times! All of the crew members I spoke to were great, special shout outs to the lady running Rose McIver's autograph queue who was friendly and informative. The guy running photo area C was brilliant, explained to everyone clearly what was happening and had a sense of humour, and the lady on photo area E who kindly helped me out when I had a clash. Sorry I didn't catch anyone's names but thank you to you all! The layout was great, photo shoot areas were spaced out well and there was plenty of room to move around on the ground floor to browse the stalls. The queue for entry in the morning was run very well, didn't take long to get into the building at all which I was concerned about as I couldn't get there until after 9. Diamond pass collection was also quick and easy. Lows As many have mentioned here already, the photo areas could really do with some microphones for the crew and/or large whiteboards to write the current batch numbers that have been called. I felt terrible for the crew that were shouting to get the information across but I still couldn't hear them as there were so many people in front of me which made the areas very noisy. The heat! Not something SM have control over I know but the air conditioning was lacking in some areas and as someone who doesn't deal well with the heat I was a little uncomfortable at times. Was lucky I bought my hand held fan with me! A few of the 'smaller' photo shoots let everyone queue at once rather than calling batch numbers which I was a little peeved about as I had batch 1 or 2 but ended up right near the back of the queue and there was no way all those people in front of me had the same or a lower batch than I did. Please call all photo shoots in batch order even for guests with a 20-30 minute slot, it really helps especially if people have a potential clash. My day overall was brilliant though and I want to thank SM again for an amazing show. I will defintely be back next year!
  7. I had some wonderful interactions with the guests I met, I couldn't be happier with them. I had a diamond pass for Tom Welling as I've been a fan of his for such a long time and always hoped he's attend a con someday. When I told him this he seemed genuinely humbled and was really kind to me. We had a brief chat about his trip and he thanked me for coming and shook my hand. I was on cloud nine after that. He couldn't have been nicer. When I met him again later for the photoshoot he remembered me and asked how I was doing. The photo came out great, I look like the cat that got the cream in it and his smile is something else! Think I have a girl crush on Rose McIver now, she was so sweet. I was waiting in her auto queue for a while as she was taking time to chat to everyone. It was totally worth it though as I had a brilliant chat with her. When I got to her she shook my hand and said "Hi, I'm Rose" which is just adorable. We then talked about izombie and her time at the con, it was a fantastic experience. And she even complemented me on my blouse and remembered me later in the photoshoot. She was a perfect guest for an event like this! Rahul Kohli was also lovely, I told him how much I like his character in izombie and how I think he's the funniest person on twitter. We talked for a while about some of his recent tweets and about izombie too. He's such a funny guy but also really down to earth and kind. He also remembered me later at his photoshoot. Zachary Levi was lovely, I only met him for a photo but it was a really nice experience. He said hi and asked me how I was and thanked me after the photo was taken.(and I got a hug in the photo) Wish I could've got his autograph but unfortunately I ran out of funds, hope he comes back in the future! Jason Momoa seems so cool, and he looks amazing! I only met him very briefly for a photo and I was batch 19 of 20 and the shoot overran so it was a bit rushed. He still said hi to me though and when I thanked him after our photo was taken he smiled at me and gave me a nod which was nice.
  8. Some awesome pics in this thread! I only attended today but managed to get five photoshoots and three autographs, I've posted them on twitter so will link to them below;
  9. Another amazing guest, thank you SM! Have booked a photo op already and got batch 2! Can't wait to meet Zach!
  10. Only going Sunday this year. Have a Tom Welling diamond pass so will be getting an auto and photo with him. I've also booked photo ops with Rahul Kohli and Rose McIver and plan on getting their autos too. Also planning on booking a photo op with Jason Momoa and possibly Sam Neil too providing they don't sell out before pay day on Wednesday!
  11. Awesome guest SM thank you, I wasn't gonna book anymore photo ops but might have to make an exception for Sam! He's brilliant in Jurassic Park and Peaky Blinders!
  12. Great guest SM, and a very good price too. Might have to get a photo with her, she was great in Blade Runner and Ace Ventura.
  13. Such an awesome guest, thank you SM! Rahul is great in izombie and he's also hilarious on twitter. Have booked a photo already and will definitely get his autograph too, can't wait to meet him!
  14. Awesome guest, thank you SM! Will definately book a photo op with her when I get paid again. Will most likely get her autograph too. Would love to see some more izombie guests to keep her company if possible. Rahul Kohli and Robert Buckley would be brilliant guests.
  15. Booked my first ever diamond pass yesterday, so excited to meet Tom, been a fan of his since I started watching Smallville back in 2003! Thank you SM!
  16. I got 7 photoshoots and 4 autographs, including travel, a few funko pops I bought and food expenses I spent just shy of £700. Booked the photoshoots over the last 5 months though so managed to spread the cost which helped. Still more than I thought before I added it all up!
  17. Meeting Benedict Cumberbatch, I wasn't expecting much of an interaction with him as I only had a photo with him but he shook my hand, said good morning and nice to meet you. Then thanked me and told me to have a great day. He was a complete gent and I was very impressed with how he took a moment to speak to everyone even though he was so busy, he must've taken 1000's of photos each day and still managed to make it a special moment for everyone. Getting a hug from Finn Jones in the photo shoot. Meeting Alyson Hannigan who was so sweet, I don't know why but I thought she might be a bit quiet but she seemed genuinely happy to be there and also took the time to speak to everyone and shake hands. Meeting Alexis Denisof and chatting to him about Angel when I got his autograph, he was really friendly and was taking lots of time to speak to everyone. It meant his queue moved slowly but it was worth the wait! Speaking to Tom Wilson, getting his autograph on my Back to the Future boxset and his response to me asking him how many people had asked him to call them a butthead. Which was "Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here!" Really didn't expect him to be so funny and he was really kind and chatty too. Wish I had got a photo with him, please bring him back to another event Showmasters!
  18. I posted some of my favorite photos on twitter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Christopher Lloyd and John Cleese; Finn Jones; Alyson Hannigan;
  19. I thought Michael was a great guest. He was so kind and humble. I met him first for a photoshoot and also managed to get his autograph near the end of the day. I'm so glad I didn't miss him as lots of the guests had left by then. I had a brief chat with him when I got his autograph and he said he'd had a great weekend and met some lovely people. If possible I'm even more of a fan of his now he was so nice. A true gentleman. A big thank you to Showmasters for giving me the opportunity to meet him!
  20. Jeremy is a class act in every way. He was so friendly and I haven't heard anyone say a bad word about him which speaks volumes! I managed to get a hug from him in the photoshoot which made me a very happy girl! :) Also got a personalised autograph and a few words with him which was much more than I expected. His photo and autograph were the most I've ever paid for a guest but it was worth every penny. Thank you so much Showmasters for bringing him to the event!
  21. It is so refreshing to read through this thread of great feedback after all the complaints in previous years. Showmasters and all the crew deserve all the praise they are getting. They have listened to all the feedback from last year and made so many improvements I can honestly say this was the best LFCC so far. Pros: The new queuing system was a brilliant idea. I was concerned about missing a photoshoot at 9:30 as I couldn't make it to the venue until 8:45 but I needn't have worried as with the new system I was in the building by 10 past 9 and even had time to collect the VT's I wanted before I went to the photoshoot! As many others have said it was so nice to have so much more space this year. And the air conditioning was another welcome addition. All of the crew that I spoke to were friendly, well informed and were able to answer any questions I had. Guest signings and photos on one floor made it so much easier to make photoshoots in time. The guests were fantastic, even the bigger names such as Jeremy Renner seemed pleased to be there and were very friendly. Cons: The Famke photoshoot which has been discussed at length on other threads and I completely understand that Showmasters would have no control over this. I have no problem with the no touching rule as I get how some people may be uncomfortable with that. But I felt very intimated by her bodyguard who was almost in the photo and due to this I stood nowhere near her and the photo doesn't look great as we are so far apart. Although having seen some others I'm glad she is at least smiling in mine! Guests leaving early. Again I know Showmasters have no control over this but I missed out on a few autographs that I had planned on getting at the end of the day but unfortunately the guests had already left. This was just after 5:30 on Sunday. I did manage to get Jeremy Renner and Michael Emersons autograph after 5pm which was great but had planned on getting one or two more but I noticed there weren't many guests still there. That being said it was a great day and Showmasters and the crew should be very proud of themselves. Looking forward to another great event next year.
  22. All the guests I met were really nice, however the following four really "wowed" me Jeremy Renner - Was so great in the photoshoot, gave me a big hug and called me sweetie! I was so chuffed, couldn't be happier with the photo it was worth every penny! He was really nice in the autograph session too, I met him near the end of the day on Sunday and he asked how I was and I told him I was a big fan and it was really great to meet him. He said it was great to meet me too and thanked me, he's such a lovely man and very down to earth considering he's such a big star! Elden Henson - He was really chatty when I got his autograph and he remembered me from the photoshoot earlier which was nice. I spoke to him about Idle Hands and he spoke to me at some length about it and said Seth Green is a great guy. Also spoke to him about Daredevil and The Defenders. Of all the guests I met I spoke to him the most, I'm really glad I met him, he was an amazing guest. Harold Perrineau - He seemed really happy to be there, I spoke to him about Lost and we had a laugh about his character always screaming "WAAALLLTTT!" He said he didn't realise how often he did it until so many people online were talking about it! He was also happy to pose for a photo with me at the autograph desk. Michael Emerson - Another really nice man. I got a photoshoot and autograph from him. Spoke to him at the autograph desk and he told me it was his first event and it was a little daunting but he had a good time and said he met some lovely people. A big thank you to Showmasters for bringing some fantastic guests and making this years event so brilliant!
  23. This concerns me as well now as Jamie Kennedy's shoot on Sunday has been changed to 9:30 and I can't get to the venue until just before 9. Depending on how big the entry queue is I might not be able to make it inside the building in time. I thought it was usually the guests with two shoots that were scheduled first thing.
  24. I think Earls Court was fine years ago for LFCC when there were far less attendees but it was grown so much since the first one I attended back in 2006 that even if it could've been used this year I'm glad it wasn't. This was the first time I'd been to Olympia and it was so much better than Earls Court for several reasons. Including, a much bigger variety of places to eat and drink and many more facilities too. Anyone remember the huge queues for the toilets at Earls Court last year? This year I only queued for them once on the ground floor and that was only for a few minutes! On the other levels I didn't queue at all! The Olympia staff were far more knowledgeable about the event and did a great job at managing the queues outside, This was almost non-existent last year. There was so much more space and next year we will get even more! Here's hoping that photo-shoot areas are closer together next year as many others have suggested this will make the day go much smoother for many attendees.
  25. I just wanted to say a big thank you to Showmasters and the crew for a great event. As I have mentioned before in one of the many feedback threads on here I feel that many improvements have been made since last year which made LFCC this year a much more enjoyable experience than 2014! With a few tweaks here and there that I am sure will be made next year I think it will be even better especially as all the halls in Olympia will be used. As many others have said it would be great if the photo areas could be closer together as it will make it much easier for people with multiple shoots and I love the idea of a rest area where we can take a seat if we have any down time rather than sitting on the floor.
