Agree - plus why not (as I've mentioned before) go down the e-ticket route for photoshoots and start selling them only a week before event, that way 99% of the guests attending wont change and refunds are virtually eliminated. Plus it would mean no postage charges for punters. And before anyone says - yes but we would need ticket scanners at photo booths / entry points, well, if other ticketed events (not just cons) can do it, why cant the top convention organiser in Europe??

Still hoping Ornella will appear at one of these events one day

Here's a thought - prevent the need for most of the multiple refunds at events due to cancellations by delaying selling pre-orders of photo shoots until the week before an event and then issue e-tickets. It's what most events stateside do...it seems to me to be well past the time to bring photoshoot sales into the 21st century....!

Mentioned on an other thread somewhere, I thought Gillian's queue was the best managed for a 'A list' guest I've witnessed to date. A credit to Gillian and the crew involved.

Finally got round to uploading this - not very good quality as it's A3 print so took a photo as so too big to scan in. So happy Gillian wrote this

I was stuck in a photo shoot queue but could of popped into talk at end but alas no info stating thats what you could do. So clearly not my day cos no one said anything about this.

Devastated not to meet Melissa, total lack of communication at event (there is a PA system at the venue for a reason!) Couldn't go to talk cos stuck in photo shoot line & no 'jump ahead of queue policy' for that type of clash. Poor all round really for promo purposes.

Got to say the Gillian Anderson crew area were amazing today - never seen such a 'big' guest area handle the crowds so well. Gillian was lovely and the whole expercise was a perfect example of how personalising, photos from a distance and a quick chat with a mega guest should be done.# Well done guys!

several hundred people will also be working out the quickest route to the Gillian Anderson 'section' in preparation for Staurday morning!!

Any promotional panel for a new show, should want to engage with fans to achieve the maximum efffect, not signing show related stuff would seem like a bit of an missed opportunity.

Often one photostudio can fall behind schedule so you may not have a clash after all on the day. Check each one close to the time, this will give you an idication of which one to do first.

Dates must be wrong as MK Dons stadium could still be involved in football season if they reach play offs.

She personalised when I met her last time she was here and that was when she was only here one day and Heroes was at it's peak, much has changed since then, so with being here for 3 days..I cant see hayden being as carzy busy again this time round.

Any actor/guest can refuse to sign anything if they choose so. Sometimes they give advance notice, but sometimes they decide when they view the item being placed in front of them.

Thanks Too Tall, it was really surprising to us when it happened a few times at the weekend, which is why we felt the need to raise it. Good to hear that normal service will be resumed.

Every system has it's plus and minus points, seems to work well at big US events but us English are a different bunch!
