Just sell photo ops outside the venue by walking the line an hour before opening time. One day this simple approach will save everyone a lot of time and hassle and eliminate any booking fees

Ian certainly seems to fully embracing the idea now he's joined the darkside (at least 3 events this year) but they are all in the states. I guess we have to wait for him to come home. To be fair I can understand actors discovering cons and finding out they are fun to do, shame it takes so long for some of them to take that first step.

Unless you are into boxing as well as the media guests, I doubt anyone attending both days would need a gold pass to fit everything in, it certainly doesn't feel anything like as hectic as London Film & comic con was in terms of media guests.

and Andrew Lincoln is as well...come on get Walking Dead peeps over here...

Seems like big guests like Bill Paxton, Iain McDiaramid & David Morrissey are all doing signing events during october, so why not try to bring them here for EMS as well.

My first was Avery Brooks in 2006 and my most recent was Jonathan Frakes two weeks ago!!

Dunno why he has increased his price he is £20 or US dollar equivalent at all shows he does, why is EMS price more expensive - he was £20 2 weeks ago when i met him (and yes he flew thousands of miles to get there so air fares dont come into it)

I first thought this was a topic about how few media guests there are at the show this year but instead yeah I agree - get 24 related guests here...!

she won't be in UK until the 8th according to her website, has 3 kids one of which is very young so doubt she will want to have too long a trip away. I hope to see her at a book signing - it's free after al, so stay in London for a couple of days after EMS instead....

I am too..... Shatner's auto has increased by 60% since last appearance here 2 years ago and Sir Patrick's by 70% and there wasthe Bank of England being concerned about the UK's current 2.6% rate of inflation!!

That's pretty much the plan yes. If you have an issue with one of your photos you can talk to the Pit Boss there and then, and we'll do our best to get it sorted, which if that means you going through again it does. Cool - gone are the days of worrying that you blinked or moved at the last minute to end up being blurry.

US show photo ops are generally more expensive than those run here, but they provide at least 10x8 size, often A4. I would rather pay a few pounds extra and get a bigger picture as they genrally look better and for those who want it signed gives the actor more space to personalise..

Sounds great....so i presume that if you notice that you or the actors eyes are shut (missed by photographer) because the photo pick up is as quick as picking up your bags, you can speak to the crew and go straight back and join the line for a free reshoot??

Thanks for the reassurance Jason. Jason, 50 days away and 7 media guests, never has an EMS, LF&CC or collectormania event been left so late to 'flesh' out the guest list. Can you hand on heart say you are surprised a few people have asked for confirmation that everything was on track? Anyway, should be an exciting couple of weeks guest announcement wise.....

I did say approx 2 a day. Anyway, there are only 54 days to go now, there were over 60 guests last year.......

8 weeks to go and just 5 media guests so far, even the most optimistic person cannot deny that the guest announcements need to speed up considerably to match previous EMS events, approx 2 a day from now on required! Go SM go go go.....

It is a bit later when compared with guest numbers announced 2 months before last years EMS. I guess those most impacted by this 'delay' will be peeps who want to book travel early to save travel costs. I am surprised tickets are not on sale yet tho.
