  1. Showmasters know they can get guests in from the cheap end of the market without it affecting audience attendence. Those people who go to just to meet their friends even though they have no interest in the guests, will still have paid to get in, and those few people who are interested in the guests the rest of us haven\'t heard off will pay silly amounts for signatures as well has having paid at the door. From past experience, no one is interested in what the older audience would see as high quality and expensive guests. Showmasters aren\'t likely to waste their money again on the likes of Reynolds, Biehn, Weller when in the main they don\'t attract people to events. Forum users who in the past have started forums like \"why do you go to Collectormania?\" and give options like \"I only go to see my friends\" which get a huge response, are in my opinion partly to blame for all the poor quality guests.
  2. The Bond guests wern\\\'t busy because apart from Lazenby and Maryam D\\\'Abo, they were a bunch of nobodies dressed up as \\\"big Bond reunion guests\\\" so SM could try and validate charging £15 to £20 each for them. £10 a signature maybe if you\\\'re a die hard Bond fan, but not £15. This reunion was the same as the Lost Boys one. Get a few guests on the cheap who never even had a proper acting career, dress them all up as having been vital to the creation of cinema by having starred in one movie, and hey presto, you used to have a license to print money. I don\\\'t think people are as free with their cash anymore to pay for the signatures of guests they have never heard of just because they\\\'ve been made to look important. The only proper reunion SM have had was the Aliens one.
  3. If you believe the original post which started all this off, Routh was confirmed to appear over 6 weeks ago. The lack of any official statement on his alleged appearance, and that he isn\'t down to appear on either the GMEX site or the advertising for the event is a strong indication that he is now unconfirmed, or is just plain not/never was appearing. Anyway, you have to hand it to him. All this publicity, along with the zombie fodder who continue to perpetuate the myth of Routh\'s appearance, are doing wonders for potential attendences. At least more than a few people are now openly questioning if Routh will show. After all, according to Brando, it IS Routh\'s job to show people the light.
  4. Very chucklesome given the rumour a while back that Showmasters failed miserably in their attempt to get Stallone as a guest.
  5. Yes, clearly a lie. I know you worship Showmasters, but are you really that unable to process logical reasoning? Showmasters would\'ve been informed weeks ago that the car was either going to be cordoned off and not accessible to the public, or that it would be accessible to the public and that they would be allowed to sit in it for photo opportunities. Since the owner of the car clearly seemed to not want all and sundry sitting in his vehicle, it\'s certain that Showmasters would have been informed of this when the owner agreed to its appearance, unless of course Mr Joiner didn\'t actually tell the owner that he wanted photo ops in the car until the first day of the event. So unless you want to accuse the owner of renaging on a deal to allow public access to his car, at least one of the above paragraphs must be correct. There are plenty of KITT mockups available for events like this. Just because the owner of one at a previous event allowed access to his car, doesn\'t mean another will.
  6. This was pretty much always going to be the case. Having seen KITTs at other events, they\'ve always been cordoned off and you cannot get near them, let alone sit in them. The advert for this was clearly a lie in order to drum up business at the event.
  7. The truthful and unambiguous answer to your question aint gonna be forthcoming any time soon.
  8. Why is there always one? Of course it\'s a wretched quality lineup, but what did you all expect? Maud Adams and a few others would\'ve been nice, but they would be as much the usual suspects as the guests who HAVE been announced.
  9. What Bond reunion?????? Yeah - good point! It was never going to be any better (or worse) than this depending on your expectations. When it comes to Bond, there will always be a huge gulf between expectation and what you get. So many prospective guests are either dead or won\'t sign, that the choice is very limited.
  10. i think a lot of people would feel better if his picture was put on the main event page Wouldn\'t that mean that he was coming?
  11. Shocker I guess the Star Trek fans are staying at home for C10 Bad news
