During the opening ceremony and guest talk with Mercedes and Nicholas, it became very clear to me that Mercedes found it quite scary and thus was a little shy. Luckily she did say some things at the signing to both me and my friend. So it's all fine. Just bear with her a little and keep in mind not everyone is as outgoing as Nicholas or funny as Mark. At least she wasn't rude like some of the staff members of the Thistle hotel Edit: totally forgot to say that I really respect James for coming to this convention despite his injuries. He's been lovely! The SM/ME crew were great! Very friendly and ready to help with whatever problem we had. Having a standard ticket meant we had to sit at the back during the guest talks. Being quite small, meant I couldn't see much of the guests. Especially not when Mark and James L weren't shown on the bigger screen. So that was a little frustrating.

Luckily a fellow con-goer actually DID hand in my sister's phone when she lost it!
