It's good for the show to diversify - but I definitely support the call for more Hollywood greats. In the past we've had some great Hollywood names such as Tony Curtis, Mickey Rooney, Ernest Borgnine. I think we need to get a few more of similar caliber before it's too late! It's still early days for this show; plenty of time for the announcements of Lauren Bacall, Debbie Reynolds, Dick Van Dyke, Kirk Douglas, Angela Lansbury to name a few! He is a really nice guy - I was lucky enough to meet him many, many years ago in London.

I thought it worked really well - I bid and won the Alien Nation head/appliance, so was very happy. It was much better having higher end items, rather than the usual t-shirts, badges and posters. It would also be a good idea if we were offered some COA's along with the items though.

Meeting Cassandra made my OH's day - she even re-tweeted her pic of our our tickets. To say she was excited was an understatement. I definitely support more of this, but maybe paid for photoshoots with the guests/authors too ?

I'm sure I saw an interview once and they'd asked her why she doesn't do appearances at conventions - i'm sure she replied along the lines of "nobody ever asks" her to attend. This could possibly just be her stock answer because she doesn't want to attend, but you never know!

Which date did you book for...it had two dates in October advertised originally. Neither had been confirmed before the change to November. I booked both just in case!! The OH was going to use the alternate weekend for shopping! I've checked with the hotel and the bookings can be amended as I'm an Honors holder or something and it was booked as flexible lol...

As mentioned in another post by Jason: "the show will be either 9/10 Nov or 16/17 Nov. Confirmation on dates to follow soon". Just thought I'd highlight this before more people (like me) book travel and hotels etc.

Just booked my b****y hotel tonight for 2 nights!!! Going to have to see if they'll let me amend the booking. Not a happy chappy right now. This date change really should be better publicised!!

Ha I think I remember you both doing an 'X' pose with your arms - it was really great as she seemed up for poses with a few people and she was on top form during her signings. Well done for having the bottle to ask for a pose by the way!
