  1. Any sign of Robert Davi arriving yet?
  2. Phew! Robert Davi 12.35photoshoot so subject to no rail delays I'm good to make it in time!!! Nice one SM!!!!!!
  3. Thanks Queen Sindel I've had to pull the trigger and buy train tickets already, so here's hoping for a Robert Davi photoshoot after midday Sunday (when I should arrive)!
  4. Any news on the schedule yet?
  5. According to the main page, the cost of an auto is now 50% more? Is this right? If so why is this?
  6. Hi Queen Sindel Much like the last poster I too am fairly reliant on the photoshoot times in terms of my travel plans. In your experience what time does the first photo shoot start, presumably not before the standard entry time? Thanks
  7. Re the Stan Lee authorised items, whatever gets decided, I would have thought you're safe with a comic book. At a guess I would think the original poster who raised this was talking about rip off items such as those large canvasses with unlicensed artwork that get sold by shops that open just for Christmas! Another poster since then though has suggested Sran would sign whatever was in front of him! Is there any prospect of getting Stan's guys to confirm though? Coming off the back of the Newcastle issues, I would hate to see SM get slammed if there is chaos on the day with Stan's guys turning away customers because they'd brought items that are not allowed...
  8. Hi so if travelling from Paddington, I'm ok to get the tube to either Terminal 1,2 or 3 Heathrow to get to the bus stop?
  9. Thanks Queen Sindel-presumably there's an option to buy the photoshoot tickets online but collect in person if ordering close to 23rd, but before 16th? I'm travelling at around this time you see and may not be at home to collect the tickets if sent to my home address.
  10. When does the online shop close ahead of this event? If possible I'd like to buy my photo shoot tickets online, but only once I know the schedule, thanks
  11. Superb, really enjoyed the day! Nice and busy but not stressful and everyone was in good spirits. Some really great costumes, good range of stalls and plenty of room to sort out your signed items and compose yourself before moving onto the next guest! To the guests themselves - met John Rhys Davies (wonderful as ever and remembered me from our last meeting), Julian glover (really nice and chatty) David Warner (what a cool guy!) and Chris Muncke (really chatty and some great anecdotes). From JRD's queue I could also see Chris Judge who seemed really great with the fans too. Bonus were the free talks, some great anecdotes from Julian and David. Finally the staff - excellent, knowledgeable and courteous. I especially liked the guys who patrolled the queues outside to check you were in the correct one and the staff with the guests were as usual all great! Definitely be back next year. We'll done to Showmasters for another great show!
  12. Patrick Macnee would be great - could be publicised as one last UK Avengers appearance something like that! He also has good cross appeal for Bond fans and I'm sure he would draw in the crowds...
  13. Hi, I'm holding off purchasing any photo shoots until I know what times they are being held, as I'm travelling in for the Sunday only. When are the photo shoot times likely to be announced please?
  14. I'd like to see the following at this or any other Showmasters events; Nadim Sawalha Vernon Dobtcheff Guy Hamilton Barbara Bach Daniella Bianci
  15. I would definitely think not regards selling them on the day at the booths - hence the reason why everyone is buying them up well in advance! The Friday is only a 3 hour session as I understand it anyway. As for the few extra, well extras were added for Saturday and Sunday so not outside the realms of possibility, but as Showmasters have already negotiated extra tickets for these days already, I would think it unlikely they'd add extra for Friday now...
  16. Hi Alpha22, you seem pretty knowledgeable about this, so I wonder if you can help: I have a large comic cover reproduction of Iron Man on a hardboard, a bit like the Dc comic covers commonly available on canvasses ( bought it from a high street chain that specialises in designer brands at up to 60% less!). There is a manufacturer on the bottom corner and from what I can tell it does appear to be licensed. Is this the sort of thing that Stan Lee would sign or am I likely to be sent away disappointed? My main concern is that I've seen Stan Lee signed limited edition examples of the sort of item I have in small art galleries going for in excess of £500, so have concerns that they might not be signed on this basis, ie interfering with the ltd edition arrangements Stan Lee entered into with the galleries etc. I wondered if you might be able to give an opinion on this, (maybe you saw this sort of item getting signed without any problem?) cheers. As another poster has mentioned it would be really helpful if Showmasters can confirm items that definitely won't be signed, like they do for when the boxers attend. Many thanks
  17. Catherine is a lovely lady, met her once before -she has plenty of time for the fans!
  18. Not sure if this has been raised elsewhere, but given the fact that you've managed to get the moon backdrop for Buzz photos, it seems quite apt for the Martin Landau photo too - if some of the fans wanted this, could this be arranged?
  19. Thanks for your responses. I managed to sort the room out, just gave them a ring and transpired I'd booked a twin deluxe inadvertently!
  20. Hi, for me the big draw was Yaphet Kotto and in this 50th year of Bond, I was hoping that another big Bond guest was going to be named. Are there any plans to get more Bond guests to attend? Some suggestions - Guy Hamilton, Bernard Horsefall, Terence Mountain, Carole Bouquet, Michael Lonsdale, Robert Davi, Sir Ken Adam, Peter Lamont. Anyway, thanks for reading this and the line up so far is looking good!
