  1. What about posing for photos, will that be permitted or do usual guest preferences apply? Am I right in thinking the authors don't have scheduled photoshoots?
  2. Guys, Im still waiting on my Stan Lee photo/audience with tickets, bought back in January. I'm told they are on their way so the excitement is building! To whet my appetite and give me an idea of my possible ticket numbers, did anyone buy their photoshoot/audience tickets approx January and if so what kind of numbers did you get?
  3. SM need to clarify before panic ensues!
  4. Yes that's what I'm hoping as I'm only attending for Stan!
  5. Does seem strange with the recent issues about non availability of tickets? I'm hoping that the event has just been left out of Stan's itinery as he will be mega busy over the 3 days, rather than Stan has cancelled (please no)
  6. Wasn't this thread called the Stan Lee Eagle Awards yesterday or is my mind playing tricks?
  7. What's the upshot of the tube works on the weekend, I'm going to arrive at Paddington and travel over to west brompton on the Saturday morning? Will this delay/disrupt my journey? Sorry as a non Londoner I would appreciate some help!
  8. Did I miss the bit where SM said this guest would be a first timer? I can't see that, only that it's a movie star?? If first timer then hopefully a Bond actor as they are massively under represented at the moment - Mathieu Almaric would be superb!
  9. I hope this is not the case - whilst Stan might be a legend, he's not an astronaut!
  10. Hi, if 200 additional tickets have now been made available, roughly how many are there going to be in the audience for this? I'm starting to think that a large screen will be needed so we can all see Stan!
  11. Wolverneil, although I'd registered I still couldn't understand why I hadn't received tickets as the online account advised mine had been sent out in February! Turns out the post office returned them to SM without even having tried to deliver them to me! Basically though if you e-mail Collectormania as suggested they'll sort it out for you as they did for me!
  12. Thanks for your responses guys, I''l drop them a line!
  13. (sees this cancellation): Yeah gutted about this! Still at least another great guest has been announced at 7pm to hopefully make up for it! (looks at newly announced guest thread): erm...
  14. Hi, out of curiosity I checked the order status of my tickets and these are marked as dispatched 10/2/14 (I don't have them)-so have thy gone out already to me? I was always under the impression you get them just before the show? Any help you can give would be gratefully appreciated!
  15. Bill Paxton i bet... clues being; "check it out" and Brian Thompson announced today with guess who in the background of the Terminator still???? Elementary my dear Paxton, or should that be, "game over man!"
  16. Yes, it is a lot, but Stan the man is a legend and as this is his last Uk visit, the only likely chance most people will ever have to meet him. That's what I've prepared for my bank manager anyways!
  17. This is great! Not sure I want his autograph but if it means I get the chance to hear THAT voice!!!!!
  18. Due to the likely volumes, I anticipate one of those impersonal signing events where your items get taken off you by his minders on one side, passed along to him and by the time you get in front of Stan your item has been passed along to his minders on the other side, so you'll be lucky to even say "Hi Stan!" before you're pushed out of the queue! Hope I'm wrong but, excuse the pun "my spider sense is tingling"!
  19. I had a great day and many thanks to the SM staff who were very helpful and professional. I met Barbara Bain and Robert Davi who were both superb- Robert in particular was one of the best guests I've ever met and I'll be picking up his Sinatra style album for sure!!! First time at the Radisson, really nice hotel and well clearly laid out across several rooms. I did find some of the rooms a bit dark for photos, but the atrium was more than well lit! No issues with the wristband as this was checked several times. Also no issue with the multiple items signed, but I can see how this would have annoyed people. Nearest I got to this issue was when I was queuing for Barbara Bain but was told the guy in front had 38 items, so I ran off to my photoshoot and came back afterwards, but this was no hardship for me. I really enjoyed the day and would definitely consider going back to this venue, but as ever the calibre of guest is the defining reason!
  20. That's a lovely story Swissangel, cheers for sharing!
  21. Thanks Dwarfbabe, didn't know that! Still all the same, you would think one of the organisers would have said something when 70 items were produced, unless of course these were the pre-orders or items for people who couldn't attend? Is that possible?
  22. This guy sounded like a complete BLEEP. I had someone like that once when i was meetingMalcolm McDowell in Manchester. The fella behind me kept loudly tutting and shaking his head with each item I produced and I only had 5! I didn't rise to it but it does leave a nasty taste and takes away from the enjoyment of meeting the guest... 70 items is a bit much, I thought there were restrictions of 5 items per person?
  23. Superb!!! Really looking forward to meet him!
