  1. I would just like to add my fab experience with Karen to the growing list!! My friend and I saw her around 10am (VT 11 and 37) and I wanted to tell her about my uncle who is a steadicam operator and worked on a couple of her eps of Doctor Who. She listened to my whole story and when I described him to her (he looks quite distinctive!) she had a genuine recognition-face - not just an "Oh, right, yeah" type look that most people would give just to make you feel better about telling the story, but you could tell she genuinely remembered him, even if only vaguely! So we had a nice little chat about him and she told me "I'm a big fan of the steadicam!". Then my friend told her we'd see her in San Diego in a couple of weeks and she got all giddy and excited again. Awesome, awesome guest. Such a chatterbox and still getting through so many sigs is a true feat and I love her all the more for it!
  2. What are people's numbers for the talk? I know they said seating would be assigned by the order they were sold so just wondered how that'll work :)
  3. She doesn't like crowds of people. She's been invited to events Alexis has done, she's been in the country with him but refused to attend the actual event. Plus, she has a new baby now.
  4. Yep, me too. It's a shame but it's the truth!
  5. Apparently you should never say never. I've learnt that from this thread. Even when the other person is already somewhere else on that date. Never say never.
  6. Alyson is afraid of crowds and she's just had a baby so it's unlikely she would even without that phobia. Gina won't do cons outside of the US now she has a baby. SMG is SMG and has also just had a baby. Marc Blucas doesn't do cons. Seth Green won't charge for his autograph so only does signings in places where he doesn't have to charge. Michelle and David ... you just keep on dreaming. They won't be back.
  7. They're only asking, but it's still never going to happen. Ever.
  8. Eve signed my CoE at LFCC and John signed it in America the following weekend, so with Kai and Gareth I can stop thinking about it any more! Thanks SM
  9. We didn't encourage more than the legal amount of people in the room, though. I also used to work in a Travelodge and there was a maximum in the "family" rooms of 3 adults/1 child 2 adults/2 children but never 4 adults, and as a night receptionist I was (officially) required to report anybody I thought had more people in the room than was allowed. Usually we let it slide as long as they were behaving but once I had to kick a band out as they had five adults in their room and they were making a noise. If there had been a fire we'd have been in serious trouble for having more people in the room than the fire and safety regs allowed. That aside, like everybody else has said... it's only if they notice, really.
  10. It doesn't count. It was a con which networks send their casts and producers to in order to promote shows. It's not the same thing at all as an event like this. Plus, it was in San Diego, which is in California, which is where they all live and work. It doesn't involve time out from shooting like coming to England does.
  11. Keith's done about five cons for another organiser over here, so it's not him.
  12. No but she'll either just have had a baby or not be allowed to fly in November.
  13. Mmm... I'm not sure about that Eureka one. I think it might be IMDB telling lies again. I've just rewatched this week's episode (the one he's allegedly in) tonight to look for him and his name isn't on the credits and there's nobody called Philip (the characters supposed name) or that looks remotely like him. Which makes me feel a bit better because when I saw this thread said he was in Eureka I was like "What? WHERE?! Why didn't I notice?!"
  14. I think that can happen when you watch something all together in a short space of time. I know a lot of big Veronica Mars fans who didn't think S3 was very good in comparison to the first 2, but I didn't get into it til S3, watched the first two seasons all in one go a couple of episodes into S3 and then followed it week-to-week like my friends had been doing for two years. I liked S3 a lot.
  15. It might have only had 12 episodes, but it's awesome and I'd love to see Middleman guests at LFCC or Collectormania! Obviously Natalie or Matt would be the favourites but Britt Morgan (Lacey), Brendan Hines (Tyler) or Jake Smollet (Noser) would be awesome too. Or Mary Pat Gleason! Ida rocks!
  16. Veronica Mars being the obvious one you've not mentioned!!
  17. It's not "as well", there's one release available from amazon.com only and it's region free.
  18. I was at that show (still in LA now) and he was so good to come along anyway. He was dabbing at his watery eye all day, bless him.
  19. It's not part of that auction. It's a completely different kind of auction.
  20. I don't understand the comparison. The question was "can I buy a ticket on the door" not "can I get in for cheaper"? The poster wants to know if they can decide on the Friday whether or not they want to come - for the whole weekend and participate in all the activities, presumably. Just bought in person rather than online. Not just sit in on some talks.
  21. Aly was in the episodes even when Willow was in England. And that was only two episodes anyway. If SM are including the unaired pilot in the 145 then Aly wasn't in that one, Riff Reagan played Willow, so technically only Sarah was in all 145 including the unaired pilot with no Alyson and Conversations with Dead People with no Nick.
  22. Not that it matters any more, obviously, but if she's ever announced for another event you want to attend, I wouldn't be concerned about that. Although she's very into her religion, she doesn't preach it in the talks, she saves it for the auto table if you indicate to her that you want to discuss it. She realises not everybody wants to hear it. :)
