  1. Amy Acker, February 12th I'm not holding my breath for a guest announcement before xmas!
  2. It would have to be... Enver Gjokaj Fran Kranz Amy Acker Emma Caulfield Tom Lenk Armin Shimmerman
  3. This would be great, James is great- but like others have said in different threads, am looking forward to a different range of guests at Hallowhedon 3
  4. Like the extra stuff on the party section! Looking forward to first guest announcement
  5. One thing that did slightly concern me, was that the guests didn't seem entirely sure about the process/what was expected of them. The opening ceremony was a little odd (largely due to Romanov!) but guests perhaps needed more prompting. Also, I loved the quiz, and appreciate that something this big was difficult to organise. But there was a lot of waiting time. I don't think the audience needed to contribute for every question. Robin and Jewel's reaction to the acting out part, and Alan's about the pictionary, made me a little uneasy. I know they took it in good humour, but I got the feeling they weren't entirely comfortable with what they had to do, or weren't sure about it. Might be just my interpretation though. I agree- We were really held up by staff with massive piles of photos/plates etc
  6. The live commentary was a great touch- as was the quiz. Disappointed by lack of lanyard/delay in tags- this seems like a small thing, but was a real nuisance. Huge difference from last year was the lack of drinks offers/clearly displayed prices at the bar. I think a lot of people held off from the parties due to the prices. Is there any way to negotiate some drinks offers with the hotel? Friday night party was a little on the boring side- there was nothing outside the main hall to do. The karaoke/roulette tables last year were good. It's not really enough to just open the bar and say 'here you go, here's your party'- there needs to be more attractions hired in. I loved the attention to detail, and the decoration last year- I guess you set your standards pretty high! Questions in talks were much better this year. All in all, I can't wait till next year. I hated going home, and back to work! Thanks to all staff- you did a fantastic job.
  7. Well I'd be pretty disappointed if there are only four guests at this con. Especially as the website for Hallowhedon still specifies that new guests will be announced, and has done for a long time. I hope no one has bought their tickets recently based on that statement...
  8. No doubt it's because enough tickets have been sold
  9. Seriously though- can we have the party themes? This time last year, we knew- and the party themes for other ME cons have been advertised on the websites for ages. I've spent a lot of money on tickets and would like to know the party themes. Moan over .
  10. The website still directs to the old forum. Plus, the website offers photo shoots with Nick Brendon.
  11. I posted on this a while ago, don't want to be too negative, but I think Alan is looking increasingly unlikely. As well as Transformers, there's this http://alantudyknet.webs.com/news.htm#584111902 due for release next year. Tudyk's a busy boy! We need some more guests to be announced
  12. hmmm....so Alan has just been cast in Transformers 3- and it's shooting in September of this year? How likely is it that he's going to appear at Hallowhedon....
  13. Had an amazing weekend, but was disappointed with some of the organisation of the event. There certainly could have been a little more input from the ME crew at the parties- they were set up so beautifully, but when we got there, it was pretty much just 'OK- here's your party! Now dance.' There could have been a host, some party games, a quiz (as mentioned before), and just a bit more of an atmosphere. There was a massive stage, there could easily have been a few Buffy party games, with some crummy prizes! There was no sense of the parties being hosted at all, it just felt a bit haphazard. Also, the question and answer sessions were a bit loosely organised- the guy asking the questions could have guided the conversations more, or asked some in depth and engaging questions before opening it to the floor. I think the person asking the questions needs a better knowledge of the actor's work, and can't just simply say 'I didn't write the question'. When you have one of the guests asking 'Who the hell writes this s***?', I think it's fair to say better questions should be selected. And if the attendees aren't coming up with the goods, then ME should have some back up questions. Or you're stuck in the same position as Nick Brendon was- answering the same questions that James was asked by fans 10 mins earlier. I thought James M was a star, Mark and James were intelligent and funny guys, and Mercedes behaved in the same way that anyone would, as the only female guest at the convention, and when faced with 3 massive male egos! And yeah- Thistle was a pit. The toilets were disgusting, overpriced food (I've never eaten so much McD's in my life) Room was OK (if noisy) and staff were unhelpful. Bar was awful too. No coke on draught? I really don't mean to sound overly negative- these were honestly small issues, and I had an amazing weekend overall. I'm definitely coming back for Hallowhedon 2
