  1. More importantly he was in Escape to Victory
  2. Really glad I paid £95 at his first Autographica signing!
  3. Nottingham Forest legend who is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet
  4. RIP Autographica Birmingham PS I would suggest a mod adds "Birmingham Event Cancelled" to this topic title, just in case people don't read this topic and continue to book time off, hotels etc
  5. Met her at Autographica in 2008, sad news.
  6. Met him at LFACC too, he seemed like a nice bloke. RIP
  7. PMs would be good, not fussed about other former MPs though.
  8. I agree with the Count, Autographica is the best signing show in the country. I've supported the event since its pre-showmasters days and will continue to support it. For me theres always a decent mix of guests although obviously there are stand out shows (The George Kennedy, Ernest Borgnine, Mickey Rooney & Joan Collins one leaps instantly to mind) with outstanding guest line ups. How many of us had the honour of meeting the late Leslie Nielsen & Tony Curtis? Read a few posts in relation to Bond guests, Autographica is the home of the Bond guest! I don't recall Lois Chiles, Ursula Andress, Lucianna Paluzzi and John Terry doing any other UK signings recently. I think SM decision this year to make the lesser known Bond guests £10 this year is inspired, I know if they had been £15 like in previous years (and still are at other events) I couldn't have justified the cost. Plus as posted elsewhere these guests are majorly fan friendly. The celebrity dinners are great. Have attended twice thus far with Rachael McDowall and Tanya Roberts, both were great company and despite only spending a couple of hours with each I feel I maybe got to know them a little better. I'm sure those who attended the last event will find it hard to forget the speeches made by Robert Watts & Bob Anderson, very moving stuff. Sure the events not perfect. The venue last time was poor and there was a lack of clear signs up, I'm not at all surprised there may have been some mix ups with people finding the right entrance to buy tickets. I'm also sure some people sneaked in for free. Sure the bigger guests don't allow posed pics, but is that any different to any other event? Don't post on here much these days and certainly wasn't planning on this long post, just wanted to share a few of my thoughts on this unique and brilliant event. Thanks for the Autographicas so far and looking I'm forward to Birmingham next year. Aaron
  9. Empire rules & NSNA isn't so bad either. RIP IK
  10. Very sad news. My main memory of meeting him is forgetting to shake his hand after telling him I thought The Naked Gun is the funniest film ever and the autograph, he insisted I come back and shake his hand. As others have posted here he was a pleasure to meet. RIP Lt Drebin
  11. Top quality guest, last time he came with his on set photo album and props!
  12. I know Shane a bit through work, he's happy to sign stuff but I don't think he'd want to charge. Most of the cast should be gettable apart from maybe Stephen Graham, I met Joe Gilgun on the set of TIE 86 and he's just like he is in the film & series.
  13. A good show, met all the guests I wanted with hardly any queueing at all. Richard Roundtree was great as were the £10 Bond girls, especially Nina who seemed more interested in finding out about me! Tanya was cool and managed to have a good talk with her at the meal, shame she was a bit jet lagged though. Hotel wasn't good and parking was a joke, but it didn't detract from a decent day
  14. Nice one, did you get any photos of Serena on Saturday? I thought the prices for the Bond girls were very fairly priced. Yep the £10 price for them is spot on, got a pic with Serena but not gonna post it due to my ugly mug!
