  1. How about some guests from shows that have recently ended or have been cancelled? Examples: Falling Skies CSI Forever Maybe some from recently popular shows like The Librarians, Agents of Shield and Agent Carter. And yes, the suggestion of The Librarians and Falling Skies was a purposeful crossover for a certain actor that unfortunately had to cancel for this year's summer London con
  2. Yes. This idea = 100% fantastic Think you should add Ruth Bradley to that list too as it would please those in the Primeval fandom as well, considering that particular show barely gets recognition con wise anymore so it'd be a win twice over.
  3. Honestly the organisation here is a complete farce. Been here since 7:00 and it turns out that staff put me and a fellow attendee (who was there earlier than I) in the wrong queue, even though we did ask if we were in the right one in the first place. We talked to the staff who are doing nothing about it except put is to the very back of the right one when it was their fault we were put in the wrong queue in the first place >
  4. That's pretty horrific. Surely wristbands should be let in after Gold's or something seeing as tickets were scanned yesterday? Seems like a real strange queueing system. Wish you all the luck possible with getting in on time for your shoots ect.
  5. Usually I'd say get the District line but seeing as there are closures on the line, I think your safest bet is to get the Circle line to High Street Kensington and then a bus, you'll have to Google what bus it is though as I can't recall the number, all I know is that there is a bus from that station to Olympia. Have a check on TFL Journey Planner though, just in case.
  6. The main Entrance is on Hammersmith Road, not the one next to the station. Right. Only a quick walk from the bus stop which is the route I have to take anyway. Thanks for the info, I'd only been to the venue once before and that was via the station so assumed that was the main entrance. Hadn't a clue about any of the road names so couldn't figure which one was Hammersmith Road (I'm clearly an idiot)
  7. Awesome! Seems like a lot of floor hopping on the Sunday for me Forgive my idiocy, but the main entrance is the one opposite the station? Or have I got it wrong? The Olympia site isn't loading properly on my phone
  8. I have seen them announced the day before the show, so we can only hope Well in that case, let us all cross our fingers
  9. Would've thought it'd be a little too late for guest announcements but some replacement Harry Potter guests and/or maybe some more Penny Dreadful guests would be amazing. Some suggestions for the latter show: Eva Green, Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Helen McCrory (also works for HP) or Danny Sapani?
  10. Prop only shoots you pay AT the prop shoot. Only the ones with the guests are on-sale on the shop or at the sales desk. Most will be £5. Awesome. Thanks for the info
  11. Quick question, since the Eventbrite store is apparently going to be open during the con, will tickets for prop shoots go up for sale there or will they only be available at the sales desk? Also, generally speaking, how much are they? Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm currently on mobile which is a pain in the butt to scroll through this entire thread/topic
  12. There's a Penny Dreadful talk happening for free?Shame you couldn't get both the guys for it though (unless it's just a typo) but still, bless you SM!
  13. Etsy. Like redbubble, you're also helping independent artists with your purchase but as they set their own prices, it can be a lot cheaper. I get all my Tolkien, BSG and Stargate shirts from there (and some Game of Thrones ones too) so there's definitely a wide range available :)
  14. Just wondering if an announcement will be made when all refunds have gone out? In any case, I've yet to receive either of mine but I'll give it a couple more days before emailing if the announcement thing isn't actually a thing, if that makes any sense.
  15. Gutted! He was my number one guest/main reason for attending Probably due to The Librarians S2 still filming which sucks in terms of not being able to meet him but it's a great show so there's that. Really hope he'll be back for another con/show in the future though *crosses fingers*
  16. Oh great! Will definitely book a photo op when they go online, my stage door photo with her last time I saw her in the west end had a major case of red eye :')
  17. Those that queue before 9am are generally people wanting to get a good VQ number for autographs, I wouldn't imagine that even in a massive queue you'd miss your shoot. There are usually stewards outside monitoring the queues so I'm sure if you were close to your shoot time and have yet to make it into the venue you could have a word with them and they'd get you in. Although I would suggest getting to the venue before doors open to minimise worry about the whole situation. Hopefully that helps? Mods, if any of the above is incorrect feel free to edit. I'm only talking from personal experience.
  18. Noah Wyle - Mainly for The Librarians (and the movies prior to the series) but I've recently got into Falling Skies (and completely love it) so there's that too Natalia Tena - Harry Potter, obviously Sherilyn Fenn - Twin Peaks Kelly Hu - Various shows and movies Maya Stojan - Agents of Shield Rey Misterio - I loved the whole wrestling thing in my teens Gareth David-Lloyd - Torchwood Richard Dean Anderson - Stargate Bill Paxton - Agents of Shield and Twister Michael Gambon - Harry Potter, pretty obvious again Having said that, the last three totally depend on whether I can actually afford it. This list will probably be cut down to the first three anyway but a guy can dream, right? For family members: Emily Kinney - Mother's really into The Walking Dead John Bell - Cousin's are more into The Hobbit than I am
  19. Know the feeling I have already paid for other things later this year and I don't think I have the money for this, I'm more worried right now than excited lol luckily I have a limited taste shall we say when it comes to guests so most of the time its someone I don't care about or haven't heard of before lol I'd really hate it to be Sir Ian I will have to think about what I'm going to do if it was him lol as he is a guest I'd love to meet as I love him in so many films omg SM why do you do this to us lol God yes, my anxiety levels are through the roof for this. I spent £300+ over the weekend for the con I was at so I have literally no money till next Thursday. I too, have a pretty limited taste in guests these days (on a student budget I kind of have to be) so if they got Sir Ian (who I've spent years trying to meet) I'd be completely distraught as he'd be sure to sell out before I get paid *fingers crossed that it's not him*
  20. Is it wrong to say that I really hope the bigger guest is someone I wouldn't want to meet desperately? I don't get paid till next Thursday so knowing my luck it will probably be someone I'd kill to meet (not literally of course) like Sir Ian McKellen.
  21. Great guest! Now to decide whether to get my The Librarian, Scorpion King or X-Men dvd signed. Ugh, this will be a hard one. (^^;; Shall definitely be getting a photoshoot ticket though
  22. If you prefer public transport to walking you could always take the number 9 or 10 from Hammersmith. Or the overground from West Brompton to Olympia as the overground still accepts Oyster card payment and the district line train to West Brompton can be taken from Earls Court (it was that route that many of us took to the first WLFCC when there was major disruption on most lines)
  23. It's pronounced 'why-lee' according to a friend of mine. I double checked his IMDB page and it says the same :)Cheers. Might be easier just saying "Hello Noah!" LolI just can't call guests by their first name as they don't know me. I tend to call all men guests 'Sir' and ladies 'Miss/Mrs ---" I generally do the same, the worst anyone could think is that you're overly polite but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

  25. Well, you've already got my dream guest lined up so I'm a pretty happy fanboy but it would be nice to see... ..another The Librarians cast member or X-Files & Twin Peaks guests (because of the revivals coming soon-ish) Stargate & Battlestar Galactica guests also seem to go down a treat
