  1. Yes that's me.. I remember you too.. what was it four or five posters your had, do you remember Tom worrying that they were going to get smudged and him blowing on the ink to dry it, bless him?. I thought he was a great guest. Glad you enjoyed meeting him;) You're right the person talking to him wasn't crew, she was either a reporter or a fellow guest. Crew wear either red or blue t-shirts. I was his assistant on Sunday. Towards the end of the day Tom was getting very tired and was barely over his jet-lag from flying into the country, I'm sorry if he was a distracted during your meeting. I know he would be upset to hear that your were disappointed.
  2. Oh I remember you and your T-shirt, thank you for your kind words, can't please all of the people all of the time although we do try. I thought Tom was one of the most open, genuine guests I've ever met. So glad you enjoyed meeting him.. did you go to his talk on the Sunday?
  3. Thanks for that David.. Karen was a wee bit busy especially towards the end of the day when we were having to rush like mad things to get everyone through. Certainly wouldn't want to process that many people in that time frame every day of the week ;0
  4. I was Tom's assistant on Sunday, I'm fairly sure the "finger" incident was quickly followed by a no I'm kidding comment from Tom. Having spent the day with him I know he has a raucous sense of humour and he'd be horrified to think he'd caused offense to anyone. Tom posed for pictures for anyone who had paid for an autograph , admittedly for a while choosing to do them either sitting at the desk or just looking up so people could take a nice head shot. He had a sore back for a while and keep getting up and down was bothering him. I'm fairly sure LFCC was Tom's first show and to be honest he was more than a little nervous at the prospect. Even though he normally plays tough guys, he's anything but. A gentle, thoughtful man, totally genuine and brutally honest about himself and his life, as anyone who attended his talk would of heard. He was more than happy to give quite detailed, candid answers to anyone's questions and was amazed at some of the things people bought in to be signed. He thought the fans were great, had bought some fantastic unusual things to get signed(he couldn't get over the plane ticket:) and really enjoyed meeting everyone. I know that a few attendee waited for a while to see Tom. Please be assured we were not ignoring you, and please believe any private conversation we were having was with regard to Tom's day at the show and because of a personal matter that needed addressing. I apologize if we didn't either see or hear you approach because of the noise of the bands etc. We had to asked several people to speak up as we couldn't hear what they were saying over the noise. If you felt you were being ignored please accept my apologies it was certainly the last thing we would of wanted. I hope the majority of you had as pleasant experience meeting Tom as he did meeting you and that you are pleased with your autographs and photo's. Yes Tom is doing Expendables 2 and also he's going to be starting shooting soon on some episodes of Hawaii five O
  5. I got roped in to help with security for the talk on Sunday.. I coujldn't hear much of what was said as I was outside of the talk area . All i could hear was the attendees laughing and having a great time. I did however hear Bill say"As some of you may already know, I don'(or can't))really sing!!" Everyone roared with laughter .. including me. Mr Shatner has certainly devolped a rather charming self-depreciating sense humour:)
  6. Well he was ok with me, during the photo shoot, i said it was nice to see him again. I went to collect his autograph, he asked me where i'd seen him and i said at Mk last year, i asked if he was ok, he said that his dad had passed on, recently. His dad fought cancer and lost his battle with this horrible disease he said that "really sucked", i felt really sorry for him, i said that i sort of understand, having lost a close friend to cancer and almost losing my mum to it aswell. To which he perked up and said to tell my mum, "good on her, it's good to hear that cancer can be beaten" and then i got him to sign a autograph for my mum. To which he put on there "lots of love" signed and put a big X on there for her, and told me don't forget to say good on her. I remember you. I was Ben's Assistant on the Saurday. Him telling you that his Dad had passed away was the first I'd heard of it. He gave no clue as to his recent sad news. He was so tired bless him but despite that I thought he was a lovely to everyone who came to see him.Of course it helped that most of his fans were brillient:) I'm so surprised that he came to the show and I'm sure a lot of people would of cancelled their appearances. I guess he didn't want to let the fans down. A very dear man and a great guest.
  7. Sadly I was at home playing host to one of the numerous bugs thats doing the rounds.. Hopefully I'll see you at the next one
  8. Is that you Odette.. glad you had an awesone time.. wa great having a natter with you:) Can't remember are you coming to ET2? Hope you can get hubby to go to the Hub.. you'll have a great time and I'll have some resolve ready to deal with any hangover Take care and hope to see you soon Debbie x
  9. I looked after Edward on Saturday .. he was awfully jet-lagged but you would'nt of known it.. he was so sweet and good natured with everyone and so appreciative that so many awesome fans(what a great bunch you all were) came to see him.
  10. I so remember his episodes of Star Trek from when I was a kid.. what a great guest
  11. Hey guys.. that you so much for that.. what a lovely surprise.. I was really flagging!!!! Always lovely to see you and thank you Sean for the lovely comment about me you made to Nathan on Saturday.. Debbie xx
  12. I looked after Nathan on Saturday.. he was mortified that he hadn't done as you'd asked him.. after asking your name it must of stuck in his mind as he started to sign your picture.. also by the afternoon he was feeling terribly jet-lagged.. which certainly affects your concentration. Its terrible unfortunate that it happened on something already signed rather than on an ordinary picture, which would of been easy to correct. I hope the lovely signed extra picture he did for you in someway helped with your disapointment.. I'm sure Nathan would hate to think he'd spoilt your day or upset you.. he thinks the world of his fans Debbie
  13. lordy I'd wish I'd taken notice of the make.. Nathan did read out the pens merits.. short of ironing it seemed to do everything . I've got a friend who's seeing him today I'll see if she can ask him and let me know
  14. You are so VERY welcome.. it was wonderful to see you all again.. you are such a lovely family .. I'm so glad you have a lovely meeting with Nathan.. wasn't he great. See you in London Take care Debbie xx
  15. Twas easy.. Dean was a breeze to look after.. he said he'd told Phil what a blast he had doing the events with us.. I first saw him in Love hurts in 1992(yikes where does the time go) amd then loved him in Vanity Fair as Dobbin.. quite what Becky Sharp was thinking when she turned him down is any bodies guess but obviously she was MAD. Brill actor and a lovely bloke too.. really chuffed we've got him coming to one of the shows
