  1. A dedicated horror con would definitely have my full support... it's been years since there was anything remotely decent organized for horror film fans.
  2. Gutted. He was the only guest I was coming to meet. Ah well, gives me more time to save up for next years LFCC.
  3. Only guest I wanted to meet this year was Danny. Absolute legend. Cheers Showmasters!
  4. wicked, pleased to see Danny was allowing posed photos - I was supposed to go today but was unable to make it. Going in the morning instead. I'm only attending just to meet Danny as there's nobody else of interest for me this time. Gonna get him to sign my devils rejects poster to go with the other 8 sigs I have on it already
  5. And the good thing is, even though I am only meeting one guest this year, if hundreds of others are happy with the line up this time and the show just keeps getting more popular, at the very least it guarantees the show's future for a long while yet to come, which can only mean more guests I'll get to meet at some stage. fwiw, although I've already posted twice in this thread, I was in no way slating Showmasters for the lack of guests I'm interested in. As Jasons says, Danny Trejo is a fantastic guest and I'm more than happy to travel to the show JUST to meet him
  6. further to what i wrote above, I've since looked again at the guest list and if I'd never ever been to an event like this before, it would be amazing. The big problem for me is that I've already met 12 of the guests for this year's show at past events here during the last few years. I guess one of the major factors in there not being so many of the rare guests, especially from the U.S.A. is the current economic climate which makes it impossible to accommodate many of the guests from abroad and why there is a large amount of more common U.K. guests this time. Oh well, like I said, cheapish day out for me this time, as I'll only be getting a few items signed by Danny and then heading back home, but hopefully once the economy starts to recover, we'll have a broader range of guests next time.
  7. Since I'm primarily interested in horror genre guests, this year the only person I'll be wanting to meet on the day so far is Danny Trejo. I'm a bit disappointed there aren't any other good guests (for me) this time, but I'm more than happy to make the journey just to get some posters signed by Danny
  8. Doh. Didn't see this thread before emailing. Sorry. Director & cast for DOGHOUSE would make great guests! Jake West - Razor Blade Smile, Pumpkinhead: Ashes To Ashes, Evil Aliens Danny Dyer - I know he enjoyed his previous event signings and is very popular with the ladies :) Emily Booth - She has done numerous signing events in the past and is very popular with the guys :) Steven Graham - has appeared in a wide selection of films including: Snatch, This is England, Public Enemies (with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale) as well as Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York. Noel Clarke - Dr who, Adulthood, etc Christina Cole - Hex, Dr who, James Bond: Casino Royale Lee Ingleby - Hustle, Life on Mars, The Wind in the Willows, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. So although I'd love to meet them specifically for their involvement in DOGHOUSE, they'll be very popular with everyone as between them all they've been in some amazing films and quality tv shows.
  9. superb guest another sig for my devil's rejects poster.
  10. I think this is a great guest for LFCC. Any chance of her daughter coming along too? That would be awesome
  11. Whilst I'd agree that Tennant wasn't really a household name before being cast as the Doctor, I'd hardly include Ecceslton in the same category! Some of his best work was done BEFORE he played the Doctor - let him have it, shallow grave, the others, 28 days later, cracker, our friends in the north, Hillsborough etc - all pre 2005 Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing what he did as the Doctor in series 1, much preferred the work he did in Our friends in the north though. As for this new boy... I'll reserve judgement till I've seen him in the role but I have to admit disappointment that they went with an extremely young actor for the part. As a friend of mine said via email yesterday... "what next? K-9 as a puppy???"
  12. LFCC most definitely rocked this year Interestingly enough, it was the ONLY signing event I've attended so far this year and I'm not planning on going to any others, primarily because I mainly collect cult movie / horror related autographs and LFCC aside, none of the u.k. events run by the major cons have featured guests I've wanted to meet. I'm London based, but always used to regularly attend events elsewhere (Birmingham, Milton keynes etc) but any further afield and it works out too costly for me. A dedicated horror movie event from showmasters would definitely get my full support though
  13. Udo was great... he signed my suspiria poster for me, took the mickey out of my essex accent because he said he couldn't understand it and happily posed for photos with us. An English friend of mine who now lives in the states was with me, he'd previously met Udo at a horror event last year in Baltimore and Udo instantly recognised him and couldn't understand what he was doing over here Big thanks to showmasters for getting Udo for LFCC - what a fantastic guest. Nice one!
