I think it would be good to either limit gold passes down or let them have the first vqt for any guests and batch 1 for photos so that any standard ticket holder knows that if they get vq ticket number 106 they are actually 106 and don't have to guess how many gold passes need to go in front of them.

Hey guys, Ive never been to this show before but have been hearing whispers about it for years but have just never gotten around to finding out anymore details about it. If you wouldn't mind, people who have been before, could you just answer a few questions? Such as how busy is this show? Do tickets sell out quickly or are there usually a good amount left closer to the time? How many guests are usually announced? And when are they usually announced? Like just before the event or way in advance? Which guests are usually there? Etc I would be very grateful for any info thanks xxx

Ill never forget going to Collectormania 4 (my first con) to meet the LOTR stars and I couldn't get a VT for any of them. I had travelled nearly 200 miles from 5am in the morning. It was a disaster until a kind lady like yourself gave me a VT for Sean Astin one of the stars I had wanted to meet. It made my whole day better even though I was still so sad I couldn't meet Dominic Monaghan or Elijah Wood I was grateful beyond words that someone was kind enough to give me their ticket (they had seen how upset I was) I went to that one too, not to see the hobbits as I wasnt into LOTR then (kicking myself now thou) but remember the queues of people who had camped out over night - I say queues seems more 5 compared to the queues we get now haha

Also I didnt have any of my VQTs taken off of me once i had joined the queue so there was nothing stopping me (except my own honesty and morals) from giving my used ticket to some one else or using it again myself.

If one person is 165 and another is 300 and they swapped places you would still have one person at 165 and one person at 300. If I was in a queue and I was number 10 and the people at 9 and 400 swapped their tickets. I would still be number 10 so no it wouldnt bother me at all. The tickets arent person specific. So are you telling me that if you went in at 9am and was able to get a vq ticket, for a guest you didn't want to see, for a friend that couldn't make it in til later, you wouldn't?! Actually what would upset me would be if someone used their Vqt to go up and see the guest and then gave their used ticket to another person when they came out or used their ticket to go up again because I didnt have any of my VQTs takens off of me yesterday when I joined the queue like they would normally do. she took my place in the queue. If I had stayed the lady with the 280 ticket would still get her auto at the same time. It makes absolutely no difference.

It went up to like 230 in the end. Lots of people had only come to see him, You moan about golds getting in first and yet your quite happy to walk off and give your VQ ticket to someone else??. I don't see how moaning about gold and giving my vq ticket to someone else ate even related. I didn't have much of a choice "about walking off", I stayed in the queuing area for as long as I could then I had the hayley atwell talk at 5:15-6 which I had paid for. I didn't see much point in trying to come back after the talk as it was already 6 oclock. So I thought if I wasnt going to get to use my lowish vq ticket then at least the lady who had 300 and something, who had been waiting all day just to see him and only wanted to see him, could make use of it.

that sounds really good, id pay for that deal. and setting it up would be easy. i cant see it going ahead when they can make a ton more money by doing how they are now. If they keep selling the gold as it is now, then everyone is just gonna end up buying gold and it will just become the new standard entry and then they would have to invent another type of ticket to top gold, super, super priority - you get to go in front of the people infront!!!

So gold could be say £250 and they go in at 8am to collect vqt They have reserved batch 1 photoshoot tickets so they go first Front row seats And a goodie bag or a free photo or a free auto or whatever And these could be weekend or single days (at different prices obviously) And be limited to say 250 tickets Then you could have silver for £150 something and have them go in next and then they have batch 2 tickets etc Then standard tickets can then pick up the rest of the batches and vqs You can still have diamond packages for the big guests but maybe have a seperate auto and photo shoot time for them? Not really sure how they worked as a timetable because I didnt bother getting one

I didn't enjoy this talk, the runners were really slow at getting the mics to people (one blueshirt was stood right by me and took 15mins to actually realise that he had a mic and had to hand it out) could hardly hear the questions and answers and they only had two more crew members join them half way through (probably got stuck in the lvl3 stairwell - I hear its where all the cool kids hang out) it was only really Daniel Portman that was keeping the talk going, I had spent 15mins in the stairwell trying to get to this talk and I dont think it was worth it at all. (unlike the hayley atwell one which was brilliant)

When I left his queuing area at 5:15 because I had the hayley atwell talk to go to, he was only on 1-150 and they were calling them up in groups of 10 starting from 0. I had 165 but The queue hardly moved so I gave up and gave my ticket to this poor girl who had only come to see him. So I have no idea what number they got to in the end but they were hoping to get up to 250 at least but that seemed very doubtful at that time. I queued for entry since 7am and still didnt get anywhere near him Which brings me on to the point of gold priority - this was great when there were only 100 or so gold tickets but there were 500 so anyone with standard entry became 500+ in the queue. I get having the more expensive passes but couldnt SM see a gold ticket that allows you to get in first, (so you get the first vqs) have exclusive access to batch 1 of photoshoots so they still get in first, and can sit in the front for talks. You could even have a silver pass that allowed second entry, batch 2 photos etc that way if you're number 6 in the queue you really are number 6, not 506. Or at a photoshot, if you're batch 1 you get to be first and go to the first shoot, not be kicked out because all the golds have to go through first. And these packages are limited to a set amount not like 500 because you might as well just make the entrance fee the same price and get rid of standard entry entirely. Would be soo much eaiser and that way you knew if you had a reasonable queue or batch number. I think all this "priority " stuff is starting to **** people off.and you could have gold for single days or weekend. Plus still do the diamond passes for the big guests.

I have to agree, that guy was a legend. I was very impressed and liked Photoshoots on A because of the organisation. Especially when MJF was the chaos it was but it was handled very well. I wonder if he will have a voice tomorrow haha. Yeah that guy was awesome (and was also awesome at Sherlocked too!) but, no fault of his, the hayley atwell morning shoot ended up just being golds. I had a batch 1 ticket and had to come back to the afternoon one, I hope the other batches were able to get through okay?!

Got there at 7am this morning and had a reasonable place in the queue but still didn't get VQTs low enough to meet Sigourney, Bill, or Richard Dean Anderson - most of the others I wanted were open queue so depends on who you want to meet.

The one and only stairwell down from lvl3 were worse than the lifts, it took us almost 15mins to get down from the top floor, we didn't bother going back up after that so didn't even get to see lvl2

Oh, i LOVE this idea! it could totally work when they have a larger number of guest from one specific fandom. Not sure this would work, what if you wanted to meet only 2/5? plus 9.9 times out of 10 the guest has been in other film/TV programmes, plus guests cancel so what if you had 4 minor GOT guest and one headliner and you brought the pass and the headliner then cancelled. Can't guarantee that SM would be able to book so many guests from the same show.If you don't want to meet them all then you don't get the pass obviously. They would have to have a good number of quests for it to work but like the amount of thrones guests they have this year it would be great. As for crossover, there would be some but most are known for one show/franchise more than another for instance bill paxton comes under Alien rather than Shield As for cancellations,that's no different than any pass for any guest.That's the risk we all take when getting tickets. A cancellation for a guest is different than for a pass with say 5 guest or 10 for example you spend £445 on MJF If he cancelled you get £445 back. If you buy a GOT pass AT £445 for 10 guests but 3 cancel SM probably won't give it back or partially back and no gaurantee of replacment 3 guests. And therefore The price of pass becomes an issue. I just see many issues with the idea. I never said it wasn't problematic, it was just an idea, that's for SM to discuss and see if it's something they could do, or it might inspire something similar - like whatevs It's just something that would interest me is all rather than just a one guest pass

I would like to see an improvement on buying vouchers for autographs, I saw on another thread that the old shop sold these online which I never knew about them so I would like for these to come back and for them to be transferable for all SM events. I would like to see tickets go on sale on a set day/time - like I know photoshoots tics go up as the guests are added but if people knew that new tickets went on sale on Fridays at 7pm for instance it might help?... or it might crash the site lol What about doing a pass for a set show? For instance if you have a min of 5guests from Game of Thrones, you could buy a game of thrones pass that covers autos, photos and talks - like the diamond pass but for a show/franchise rather than just one guest. I love having the set photoshoots like the iron throne (without guests) so having a variety of those would be cool.
