  1. Go to Brendan first, depending on where they got to in the morning you might get through that before Alfie starts. If not just let them know you have a clash. Then go to Alfie and let them know you have a clash with the talk. Then go to the talk. Then Bob. You might need to sneak out the last minute or so of the talk. Edited to Add: Alternatively if it doesn't cause problems with your morning schedule, go to Alfie's AM shoot and let them know you have a clash in the PM with the Ricci Talk. They might manage to put you through then and remove the stress of that clash.
  2. I have a 4 guest "helpful overlap" on Saturday morning. I am BOSSING the use of break time this year!
  3. This sort of depends both on your pass number and what you personally want to do. The convention opens at 10:00am so I'd think Tom will be signing for that first hour before his shoot. And the photo shoot area will be busy with the earlier shoot. With Diamond passes you join queues by pass number so if you have a low pass number you'd likely be able to get your auto first. But if you want to do the photo first and get that signed or just want to go do things in that order that is also fine. I just wouldn't go to the photo area until closer to 11am because with the photoshoot for Meat Loaf being before Tom all the people for that shoot will be in that area already and it will be crowded.
  4. As far as the Lance photoshoot I wouldn't panic, its running all the way until 10am and once your batch has been called you can go at any time. And once the doors do open the queue moves fairly quickly. Plus he has an afternoon shoot as well between 15:30 and 16:00 so you could go to that instead.
  5. There is a reason that throat lozenges are always on my packing list. We crew spend a lot of time repeating ourselves. Sometimes very loudly.
  6. General rule is to first go to the one that finishes first. So I'd go Turco, Bradley then Henry.
  7. Yes. Once the doors are open it will be quite quick to get everyone through into the building :)
  8. We would never get any guests if we tried that. Because when it comes down to it the cons are like the added extras to them. Their work and career is their acting. And with people involved in big shows where the schedule can change at the drop of a hat nobody would agree to that.
  9. Yes. This. Not only does it make your day easier but the crew will like you more if you give them £5 notes. I'll be on the crew's good list, I specifically went to my bank today to take a load of cash and requested it in £5 notes! I start hoarding £5 notes for about two weeks before any con. This way I can pay for things I want and make very busy crew members happy by paying £15 in £5 notes. ALL OF THE CHANGE.
  10. Yes. This. Not only does it make your day easier but the crew will like you more if you give them £5 notes.
  11. *Gives all of the Forum Mods and Showmasters Staff and Crew Kit-Kats* The time taken to eat those are about all the break they get.
  12. There is never more 'on display' than you would see at a beach. Parents take kids to the beach all the time. If you have a problem with your kids seeing people dressed up don't take your kids somewhere there is going to be cosplayers.
  13. Sad she can't make it, especially since that now means I have nothing to do on the Friday.
  14. As a Glasgow girl I have never had an issue with Scottish £5 notes at any Showmasters convention. Most of the staff have either seen them before and at least a few I know of are actually Scottish. Staff are generally just so happy to see £5 notes they are not going to fuss over which UK bank issued it! :)
  15. you could follow it up with "all the background cast are here" and "talk about that other event and so help me.." should be interesting to see what this announcement will be Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me! Bumbumbum SO HELP ME, SO HELP ME, AND CUT.... its a work in progress... Somewhere in there there's got to be a ''Did you read the FAQ before you asked this?" Musical Number.
  16. All the big names and most of the well known names will likely have VTs. They keep an eye on it and if it looks like the queue for anyone is getting too long they will introduce a VT system so there's not loads of people clogging up and causing massive queues.
  17. Generally with those sorts of things it all comes down to "is the guest happy to do that?" If Iain is happy to do it then I don't see SM having an issue.
  18. I had just done my budget for LFCC and worked everything out. Now I need to find an extra £40 somewhere!!!!! Awesome Guest Of Awesome!!!!!
  19. Wristbands replacing tickets, with people going down the queue to do this before the con opens, makes a lot of sense. Stop pay-on-the-day entry and split entry queues to help get everyone in quickly. Perhaps for the last minute guests do e-tickets for things like photoshoots so you still have the normal ticket system for the things you could buy in advance and people don't need to have lots of printed out bits of paper (as someone whose printer is tempramental at the best of times I am not a fan of etickets and having etickets replacing all the tickets I had for LFCC would be a nightmare). This way for things like Anthony Head you can buy photoshoots online last minute, reducing the queues at the sales desk and helping Showmasters actually schedule how long photoshoots need to be.
  20. TJ was my guest of the weekend. He made sure to really talk to each and every person he met whether that person was the first person on Friday or the last person on Sunday. Having met Tamara before and knowing she is also really lovely I think we need a weekend Bones Con. Because we need more time with this wonderful and dedicated cast.
  21. My little fandom heart is happy. My bank balance is crying in a corner.
  22. After some thought my top five are (in no particular order): 1) Freema 2) James Moran 3) Caroline Chikezie 4) Alan Dale 5) Ruth Jones
  23. Cotton-Eye Joe You're The Voice - John Farnham. Loved on the Saturday when this came on - was So So easy to see which of us were Merlin fandom people, we knew what it was, everyone else had looks of WTF? And so so many more - Oh and when the Miley Cyrus song from her movie came on and the dance floor CLEARED. Was quite embarrasing that I seemed to be the only one at my table who even knew what the song was!
