  1. Your complaining about running out of room on your poster? Isnt that the point of collecting autos!! I agree with your other point though, at least with the naboo guards in the prequels you always had photographic evidence to actually see facially that its the guy your meeting at the show. If these guys came from Convention Guests then i'd believe its them as I understand they only take them on if they have evidence and their site with photos then-and-now looks conclusive. So unless they otherwise came accredited from Lucasfilm themselves I would be sceptical.
  2. Outstanding guest! He was one of the Naboo Security Officers in Episode 1 or 2 and has an action figure too!
  3. Just found your site, great photos in the pdf! (the ones in your other site dont work.) Loved your comments on Kamay Lau's elegant handwriting and Mike Savva looking into the lens for a split second, didnt notice that before and its only noticable if you slo mo, if I ever see him at another signing im going to ask if this was deliberate! Keith Swaden also told me the Stormtrooper costumes didnt fit anyone but were like balancing a bucket on your head! Thanks for the recap of the day
  4. Didnt he give a 'guilty' expression when he said there were always 100s of eyes looking at the props at all times so couldnt take anything. Hard to explain but you should have been there I guess. Looked like a hidden message that he may have got something but wouldnt say so in public funny Q&A though
  5. Whats wrong with the borders? I dont mind the white borders so am I a minority? I agree that some of the photos were poor. The printing was either washed out or positioned wrong. One of David Sexton's with the forest backdrop was alarming that it got through with David squashed to the left of shot without being noticed. Good day with minor hiccups though
  6. Wernt some of the above at ED16? A few names that havnt been used yet that are on Convention Guests site are Steven Calcutt, Zac Kohen, Chantelle Barbieri, Mike Randall, Leroy James and Kes Green
  7. During the Prequel Q&A, David Sexton spoke about how a guy that heard about the Episode 1 filming from the agency but hadnt been picked to come for a costume fitting, but turned up anyway and joined the queue. The AD said his name wasnt on the list but he hang around anyway and managed to start putting on a costume with the other extras and had his name added to lists as he went from costume to makeup etc. It turns out he worked on the movie for a long time! They had lost contact with him since and asked if anyone knew him, his name is Crazy Eddie Erani (I think).
  8. Just got back to dark but warm Cambridge after ED17, just wanted to post my comments. It was a great show, each guest was talkative and shared some interesting anecdotes. There were seperate Q&A's for the prequel and original trilogy actors and both were well worth the visit to Cheshunt alone. Dave Sexton and Martin Bou Mansour were great during the Q&A and Dave especially was very funny, Mike Savva's story about the first reveal of Darth Maul on the set of Episode 1 was very interesting. Peter House and Kamay Lau contributed but couldnt hear them very well, not sure if their mikes were working. The original trilogy Q&A was also interesting but some of the guests were unable to recall the same anecdotes due to the time that elapsed since their appearances, which wasnt their fault. The one low point was that it got very hot in there after midday and the toy stalls seemed to pack away a bit too early, prompting most of the casual visitors to leave thinking the show was over, which it wasnt. Some of the guests were clearly sweating but carried on chatting regardless. Very enjoyable show well done Showmasters!
  9. Itll be a good day im sure, wonder what the reason was for MP cancelling Another note, if you goto the Star Wars page on Convention Guests they have posted some group stills from the prequel and the sequel trilogies and asking if anyone knows the guys in them. Never noticed those before!
  10. I think the current trend is to get newer guests that maybe havnt attended a proper convention before. Most collectors already have the BIG guests' autos. So, considering the majority target base and in the name of variety this show if for guests you maybe havnt met before.
  11. Which 'one' are you not getting, may i ask? and why? Toby Philpot. Purely cos i have his autograph already. Thats a good enough reason, I already have a couple of autos but im getting them again on a multisigned poster
  12. Which 'one' are you not getting, may i ask? and why?
  13. I think the idea is to ask the guest first if they mind being photographed signing. Its just courtesy as its not very pleasant having a photo taken without being asked. Theres also a law about that too! consent should be gotten first. Im sure most guests wont mind you taking photos as long as you dont be irritating and a hindrance to other collectors in the queue. Dont forget your manners!
  14. By having access to Lucasfilm documentation, I meant having a call sheet or rota from one actor and using this data to trace other actors on it, like a family tree effect type thing. I also got the impression on their 'Authenticity' page that the guys/gals that run CG are also in the film industry themselves, therefore would know or send word out if someone needs to be 'headhunted'.
  15. Yep convention guests would be the ones to ask, since they seem to have access directly with the actors rather than just an agent or their PA dept. I read somewhere they also have access to Lucasfilm documentation that can confirm what characters they played and what they did, since back then im assuming the supporting costumes didnt have names like they do now (for the benefit of selling toys I bet!)
  16. He did one when Episode I came out in the south-east of England, and I'm sure I've seen him do others. However, I went to a convention/fair which he was billed on but he never turned up - aparently he has that reputation! Regarding Hugh Quarshie - I'd read that he wasn't happy with his contract details to do Episode 2 (or rather he wanted more money) and when told "no" he said he wouldn't do it. It's what I read - it could be totally untrue! Can't wait for more details for the Europe Celebration next year.... That would be (AN OTHER CON) in Basildon, Essex if its the same one im thinking. Used to be a regular annual event but not sure if its still going.
  17. Sorry if its already been mentioned but Salo Gardner was also a stormtrooper. Did anyone ask him as the last ED which movie(s) he was a stormtrooper in? would be even remember??
  18. Wasnt Red 10 just a voiceover guy? The guy could have been brought in to do 'just another job' and forgot all about it, or he could have passed away since. Yet another uncredited character in the Star Wars universe, there are so many characters that I think did enough to earn a credit and would have done so in most other movies. There are at times credits for characters that never appeared due to being trimmed from the movie or didnt actually say any lines, but there they are in the credits. There are a couple like that from Star Wars but their names have escaped me.
  19. When I was new to the Internet I thought IMDB was completely accurate and I believed that their data harvesters would collect ALL the info to make the site a definative record of film. Now since the 70s we still dont have a full list of who played the stormtroopers!
  20. Am I being naive when I ask if Lucasfilm themelves can assist? Do they still have records of names and what they did? I know its a little easier for the prequels as things are more documented nowadays and the Internet helps to piece together who did what, but surely Lucasfilm would have some kind of record of who did what on the old trilogy maybe?
  21. I concur! Your ATOC poster is definately the pick of the bunch, although all of your prequel posters have fewer autos than your original trilogy posters. Theres a lot of prequel guests at ED17 to bolster them up though but I noticed there isnt many AOTC guests attending, actually I dont think theres any :? Very impressive though! my compliments.
  22. What an unusual character, an alien with a wig! great guest!
  23. Great screen grabs Mazzic! If you have time keep them coming
  24. Ive watched that scene in TPM again and he wasnt actually 'seen' as such but it doesnt mean he wasnt there. I think the Cinemania quote means that the only time you actually see him facially is in Episode 2, without masks or other appendages obscuring his likeness.
