  1. You wouldn't expect free parking at Earls Court for LFCC would you? Or a free bus service from Kings Cross to the venue? You'd buy your underground/train ticket and make your own way there. So why do you expect any different here? There is ample free parking at the venue and around it (and you can always just google the parking situation at the stadium - the MK Dons website makes it clear where you can park around the venue - its just common sense to look it up yourself if you are driving and want to be sure of an area). As for the free buses - that is a bonus which SM are not obliged to provide considering there are paid for buses that come to the stadium frequently. They do this as a courtesy to try and make things a little easier for those who come into the train station. People aren't happy unless they are complaining about something!
  2. The various under 16 football games on throughtout both saturday and today probably contributed a bit to the extra traffic on site. That said, I had no problems with parking on either day and I arrived around 9:30am on both. Today it was much quieter and I could park closer, but there were stewards about yesterday (on the side where gate 4 is). I think there were only a couple though, so if you came in whilst they were looking for a spaces you could end up driving around. However, for those complaining they wouldn't come here again, you need to remember this is a football stadium and not a convention centre It has limited parking on site. There are, however, many free parking spaces in the surrounding industrial estates over the weekend (which those of us who live local and attend the football use). I guess SM may not know/promote this but if you look you will find it, and it is only a 5 minute walk to the stadium....hardly an inconvenience if you don't want to navigate the car park.
  3. Big thank you to the following guests for being absolutely lovely: Clinton Ulyatt - possibly the nicest, most intelligent and well spoken guest I have met. He gave me lots of time as he was inexplicably quiet and has some great tales to tell. Happy to come round the table for a photo. Really nice guy. If you were dithering about going to meet him, dither no more - totally worth your time and money. Billy Boyd - very sweet and friendly guy. Posed for photos over the table with everyone, despite being busy, was polite and cheerful during the signing and photoshoot. So glad I finally got to meet him. Eve Myles - this woman is totally crazy and absolutely lovely. I was behind the person having their poster completely defaced by her, and she was just cackling with laughter and taking photos herself. She chatted to me about her role in Merlin (which was why I met her) and just seemed so full of life. Well worth meeting! Joseph Gatt - met him for his role in Thor. Very friendly and happy to pose for photos - he kept insisting I had more photos when he thought they weren't coming out too well. Had interesting stories from on set and the most amazing biceps I've ever seen! Sylvester McCoy - not as chatty as the others, but happy to personalise autos and pose for photos over the table. Thanks for bringing over these guests SM - made my weekend
  4. Nice to see some new faces being announced! Kinda glad it I'm not going to have to add to my expenses though!
  5. I am still hoping it is Tom Hiddleston. He's super-cool, been in movies and TV and hasn't been to a SM event before, and I mentioned him prior to page 14!! PLEASE!!!!!!
  6. I can't seem to find the gift vouchers in the store any more - although the links above go to the vouchers, you can't add them to basket. Are they out of stock?
  7. I met Bill Clinton a few years ago in Oxford when he was visiting his daughter at the university - I guess he's probably the most famous person I've met, very charming...
  8. Great guest - she's done so much and been great at everything!! Looking forward to meeting her
  9. Great guest - he's a really nice guy. I'm kinda pleased I've already got his auto though, was worried I'd have to find more money!!!
  10. This is great - I keep missing him so will make him first port of call this time !!! Thanks!
  11. Yay - this has made up for Rangers cancelling!!!!! Fantastic guest!!!!
  12. Do you think it likely he will do a joint photoshoot with Jack Donnelly? Would love an Atlantis double!!!
  13. I totally agree Sorock - I bought the Silver pass yesterday because the gold one had sold out. I think for £170 we should get access to the chill out room and priority at photo shoots (after the gold pass people). I don't really care about the reception and I probably won't attend the talk - I generally buy my pass for the convenience of not getting there early/rushing around with collecting VTs/not having to wait to join a queue and being able to have a quiet space to relax. I've never seen that many people in the chill out room for them to think it will be too busy to accommodate the silver people as well....
  14. Oooh, another Captain America guest - Yay!!! Now all we need is Chris Evans
  15. OMG - the only Atlantis guest I am missing. SOOOOOOOOO happy!!!!!!
  16. Having just caught the series finale of Atlantis think it will have to be a Melas auto for me!!
  17. Sorry if this is a stupid question but what or who is/are CGC - Google has a plethora of options and I doubt it is the 'Canine Good Citizen' club... I suspect Certified Guaranty Company, who do comic grading - but the original poster would need to confirm.....
  18. I would LOVE to see any of the following: Lee Pace Richard Armitage Simon Baker Claudia Black David Hewlett
  19. I know guests/agents sometimes come on here so I just wanted to say a big thank you to the following guests for being total stars: Shane Rangi Samuel La Hood Adam Brown Craig Parker Connor Trinneer Every one of them took time to have a chat and all were happy to get up and pose for photos. Shane and Craig - both of whom were on the guest side of the table chatting and mingling - were particularly fun and I got some cool shots with them. Samuel had brought in his actual Orc ears from LOTR and let me hold them for a photo. I was lucky enough to be there on Friday when it was really quiet, so guess I probably got lucky with the time I could spend with the guests, but even on Saturday I saw they were being equally nice. Great guests, all of them. Thanks for getting them all here Showmasters
