  1. My only clash is my photoshoot with Sylvester McCoy is slapbang in the middle of my Jeremy Renner talk. Do you think I would be able to change my photoshoot to the Sunday - and would it be best to ask this at the desk when I get there (assuming the office are going to be swamped with emails right now)? I don't want to miss the talk....
  2. Wow, I'd love to move my Diamond shoot to Friday if that does become possible!
  3. I am so happy about this - makes my Thursday night hotel booking worthwhile now!
  4. At present: Autos: Dominic Monaghan (LOTR) Elden Henson (Daredevil) Natalia Tena (GoT) Jack Gleeson (GoT) Jamie Harris (Agents of Shield) Sean Maher (Firefly) Isaac Hempstead Wright (GoT) James Frain (Agent Carter) Joe Naufahu (GoT) Aaron Stanford (X-Men) Photos: Dominic Monaghan Elden Henson Sylvester McCoy Sean Maher
  5. Clark Gregg? He 'survived' Avengers!! *wishful thinking*
  6. It has been a good day for announcements for me!!!
  7. The only Hobbit I don't have - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I'm missing my Bill Paxton and RDA ones :-( Edit: they are there now. Yay!
  9. The whole idea of a wristband is that you can not take it off over the weekend, the reason being if you could, you could give it to someone else and if you'd have two, you could even get many people in for free: take a friend and go in, let friend take off wristband and let him enjoy the show while you walk out with your wristband to regain entry and the other wristband in your pocket to pick up your next buddy who is standing outside...). If you actually managed to take it off and put it back on without breaking it and being able to get in with it, there is indeed a flaw in the system SM should look into.... Passes with pics on them are problematic for us cosplayers though, for obvious reasons, we've tried our best not to look like ourselves Yes, I know the reason they are not supposed to come off, but some of us work in jobs where wearing that band whilst working is not allowed - it is a safety hazard. I'd love to be able to take the weekend off completely but some professions require people to be on call and work nights. I have never shared my pass, and never would, but there needs to be a better option. A photo pass can be kept on anyone - even cosplayers must keep a purse/wallet or something somewhere!
  10. I'd much prefer a pass with a photo on it too. Not least because I have to stretch and force that band off after the event each day because I work at night and we are not allowed to have any sort of jewellery on (and these wrist bands are considered a hazard at my place).
  11. I'd like to see Bill Paxton again with a bit more time to talk to him - he just had a really cool presence. Also RDA, for simply being the nicest guy ever :-)
  12. Whilst I did use mine on the Saturday, it was only for a £10 guest and only because someone earlier had told me they'd done it. I still don't see what the problem was to be honest - the guest had no one queueing and was only there that day. I see where the issue might occur with the more expensive guests, but if this had been a decent offer in the first place no one would have been 'trying it on' at all....we should have just been given four £10 vouchers we could use on what we wanted. It's bad enough the price of the gold pass has gone up whilst the exclusivity has gone down - £50 since 2013 which is a huge percentage increase (£175 to £225 is almost 30%) - but to then start putting restrictions on everything is just adding insult.
  13. My photos are at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10153530930979810.1073741858.717084809&type=1&l=8a0a784520 and my autos (the bottom 15 are from LFCC!) are https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151562628164810.1073741827.717084809&type=1&l=bf2af152d7 Both albums are set to public so you should be able to see them :-)
  14. Of the 15 guests I met, RDA was definitely my favourite. Partly because I've been waiting to meet him for EVER, partly because he was so jolly nice and chatty with everyone who met him. Nothing is better than an actor that really lives up to your expections :-) Also lovely were the GoT female guests - all of whom were smiley, chatty and personlising with all sorts of quotes without asking. Kelly Hu was also very chatty and smiley. Jonathan Pryce was, well, professional, but I wouldn't exactly say warm and friendly. He did thank me by name and smile when he gave me my auto back, but I didn't feel I could talk to him even though he was quiet at the time I visited....
  15. According to the Olympia website the capacity for the halls being used totalled 17,500 - I wonder how many additional tickets they sold to cover for people leaving early and others arriving late. Certainly felt a lot more than that over the three days...
  16. 15 Autographs, 5 photoshoots, 4 prop shoots and 2 talks over three days.... Richard Dean Anderson (auto and photo) Bill Paxton (auto and photo) Jonathan Pryce(auto and photo) Hayley Atwell(auto and photo) Luke Pasqualino (auto and photo) Iain Glen Keisha Castle-Hughes Julian Glover Rose Leslie Jessica Henwick Kelly Hu Sean Gunn Gemma Whelan John Bell Alexander Siddeg I only missed out on Carice van Houten, who didn't show on Sunday :-(
  17. Firstly the good things: Early entry actually worked on Saturday and Sunday - enough that I turned up at 8:45am and walked straight in both days Allowed me to get a low VQ for Bill Paxton and get his auto by lunchtime on the Saturday I got through first on all photoshoots I attended with no problems Joining the back of any queue to get my autos was very handy and the main reason I buy it The gold room was better this year - always a space to sit, bottled water was much better The autograph and photo vouchers were handy, particularly as most of the crew had no idea what to do with them so were letting you use them on anything - I got 4 separate prop shoots and two autographs (one on the Saturday) And then the bad; The Friday entry was an utter joke. I am pretty sure there were over a thousand people in that queue for gold entry which went right round the side of that building and took well over an hour to get in - by which time the standard queue had also been pouring in for half an hour They had clearly sold way too many passes - you only needed to see the sheer number of golds at some of the photo shoots. As has been said by others, you just did not feel all that exclusive any more The goody bag - I am bit take it or leave it with this. I don't get the pass to get the bag - it really is just an extra - however, it has had less and less in it as time goes by. What they really need to do is offer it as a 'bagged programme' - so you know you get the nice bag and a programme (which would be more useful). Anything else they stick in it would be a bonus Positioning the room in the talk hall and then throwing you out if a diamond talk was talking place. Seriously, you're worried about 10 or 20 people being able to hear a talk they hadn't paid for (despite being in a room with no windows and quite far back). Quite frankly this was insulting and a very poor show In summary I would not have attended this event without one, but going forward I am not sure I will attend this event again. It has gotten too busy and is not really a fun and enjoyable experience any more. The guests are great, but just getting around is so unpleasant.
  18. Props were not included in the Gold Pass - it was just we were told we could use our photoshoot vouchers on the props. Whenever I went to any of the prop shoots they were deserted - never a queue there except for the first 5 minutes. Maybe you only turned up when the BTTF cast and/or Sigourney were doing their cast/prop photos? The Hogwarts one was a green screen so you ended up superimposed in front of the snake door from Chamber of Secrets. It came out quite nicely :-)
  19. Yes, worth it for me too. Despite the shambolic entry on Friday, it was great the rest of the weekend. I got all my autos and photos with no real queueing - got a low VQ for Bill Paxton and got him whilst he was still personalising, and on the weekend days I turned up at 8:45am and walked straight in. The gold pass room did it's job - a place to just sit and chill for a while (certainly the only place to sit quietly without being trodden on!) and it was nice to chat to some other people in there. I used all my vouchers - the photo ones on 4 prop shoots and the auto ones on a £10 Saturday and Sunday guest so no problems there. Whilst the goody bag can hardly be called that, I actually found the fan quite useful and as I liked both Wolverine and Book of Life, liked the bottle opener and mini picture frames too. Would have been nice if they'd thrown a free programme in there to make it actually useful. I wouldn't dream of attending LFCC without a gold pass - but that's because I don't like getting up early and I don't much care for queueing. It all depends why you feel you need one!
  20. It did say on here that we could exchange the photoshoot ones for higher value - as it is, I used mine on 4 different £5 prop shoots. The crew behind the desk just wrote on the back it had been used once and gave it back to me signed. I had no problems. I used my £10 autograph vouchers on Gemma Whelan (today) and John Bell (Saturday). It did say we couldn't use them on Saturday but the crew member certainly didn't refuse it, so I was pleased about that. To be honest, I don't think all the crew knew what they were doing with those Gold vouchers - you seemed to be able to exchange them for pretty much anything!!
  21. I got 'over the tables' with Luke Pasqualino, Julian Glover, John Bell, Alexander Siddig, Sean Gunn, Keisha Castle-Huges. There were no posed photo signs up for Richard Dean Anderson, all the Diamond guests, Kelly Hu, Hayley Atwell (after lunch), Carice van Houten and a few others I can't remember (as I wasn't meeting them).....
  22. Depends on who they were with and how busy they are. You will have to go to the organisers desk and ask them in the morning - I doubt you will get a definitive answer from anyone tonight....
