  1. Why don't you invite Mr Kurtz to Empire Day 17 and get him to talk about it. Would be a good guest for the fans and a great plug for his new film!
  2. im pretty sure this isnt penningtons first sigining as I already have him and I only get autos in person. but as I have been doing this for 15 or so years I cant remember where he attended. one I would love is Stuart and Kay Freeborn. You could be right, of course, but I've been doing it for the same amount of years and have no record of Mr Pennington ever attending a show, either in Europe or in the US. I did do a private signing with Mr Pennington in May 2003 through a friend in London. But a show? I do not believe so.
  3. Yes, Peter was at the last Empire Day as a surprise guest. Michael Pennington is BIG in a sense, but like stated before, Empire Day is mostly about those 'obscure small part' guest stars. For the big stars, you'll probaby have to look into attending one of the Collectormania shows or London Film & Comic Con.
  4. Not bad at all! I'm currently at 738 SW different names (although my collection has about 6000 signed SW items), but I've been at it on and off since 1992... Check out my collection online! :-)
  5. Ah, yes, a good Leffe. They actually sell that in Britain?
  6. Great, thanks for that info. That makes it official enough for me...
  7. Yeah, me too, most like. But how much will Brandon be charging at the show? Does anyone know?
  8. HR, he said 'that's 19 I need now', so he probably has already got one of the autographs...
  9. I hear you, Toby. The best beer in the world is Belgian, after all...
  10. Hmm, the guy with the 40 items, that could have been me... Sorry about that. I understand your position completely, Obiton.
  11. That is exactly right, Toby. It was in Charleroi, a couple of years ago (I believe it was September 2003 and you were there with Michael Sheard - RIP - Lightning Bear, Gerald Home, Ailsa Berk and my good friend Aurélien from Paris. We will indeed meet soon, as I'll be coming over for Empire Day with some friend. We'll have a beer together! :-)
  12. If it isn't good old Toby! Remember Mark from Belgium? Sure you do, you even have a link on your site to mine :-) Looking forward to meeting up with you again, sir!
  13. Hi Barry, What's this about you working on the film 'until you had a run-in with the production about wearing your stormtrooper costume in a bar'. Did they sack you for that? Looking forward to seeing you soon!
  14. The other con you are thinking of in Basildon is no longer organised, but Carson was NEVER at that show, I think. If he had been there, I would have visited it.
  15. Will do. It would have been nice to know this in advance, so that I can try to find some 'Return of the Jedi' photos as well...
  16. The Quarshie tale : it is true. I spoke with Hugh about that a couple months after Episode I. He and his agent wanted more money and Lucas said no. He simply replaced good old Panaka (which I thought was a very strong character) with his 'cousin' Typho.
  17. And he was also one of Jabba's henchman. In the scene where Luke gets shot in the hand, at the moment when Klaatu comes out of the belly of the skiff, there is a human-faced guard with a force pike confronting Luke. That's Frank Henson. The photo can be seen clearly in the Return of the Jedi storybook.
  18. I believe Frank Henson was a Royal Guard in ROJ.
  19. Hi Barry! Any chance you remember what scenes you were in as a stormtrooper in Star Wars. That way I may be able to get the photos where you are actually in them... Cheers!
  20. And it makes for a great show, trust me. Why else would I travel all the way from Ghent (Belgium) to Empire Day! My favourite! :-)
  21. Empire Day 16 (the first one I attended in person) was not really that busy. There was a good crowd and a great atmosphere, but if you arrive around noon and need only one autograph per person, you'll be done in less than two hours. I needed over 150 autographs and did it in four, so...
