  1. Dave, Would it be possable for you to arrange to try and get some people who always go down well at any shows that you have run, they are the Heros from Bomber Command. This year marked a very special year in that the queen opened a new meomrial in london to the 55, 000 men that gave there lives to this country. So please could you add a few of them to the show please, many thanks Paul
  2. Dick is a great add to the show, always popular with people at previous shows.
  3. I have still to miss an Autographica show, this was the first dinner i have ever missed but went on Sunday. I spoke to a couple of freinds that i have met and they said itb was the most relaxed show ever. I was there only for an hour on Sunday to the Shuttl and other astros, it was so quite it was unreal. I just hope next year at Birmingham Dave can pull some more big guests out of the hat, i know that Aldrin/carpenter will be attending but cant see alot of people paying £225 or more for an autograph if these money squeze is to go on.
  4. Hi Dave, Will the guest list and prices be updated soon i have not called you yet will catch up later . Paul

  12. I remember meeting him at Autographica and the price was reasonable when he first came over, also met him at a UACC shows in USA years ago. He was cheaper than glad i bought it when idid he is pricing himself and others out of the market.
  13. I have asked for these guests on several occasions please could you try and get any Polish fighter pilots from WW2. They are the forgotton heros of the BOB.
  14. Welcome aboard Dr Mitchell, will be great to meet you again.
  15. Well this seems to have everybody going, lets start by saying yes that it is a pain in the spam that there is only one show. I have lost money by booking the room in advance and it is not refundable but such is life . I will still be in the front of the show backing Dave and Co, i have been to ALL AUTOGRAPHICAS and do not plan to miss the London show. The London show is better for me and nearer by far than Brum, but if you are a collector and supprt the hobby then you will travel far and wide. To all the people that are moaning look at this way i have lost £11o paying for a room in advance that money could have been spent on something else, but i will get over it i am sure. I hope you all remember the minute these shows end the planning for the next ones start so stop moaning and let them get on with what they do best, get great guests from all walks of life. Paul >
  16. You'll look a bit of a muppet if no Astronauts attend! No because i will still go to the shows i am one of few that can say they have to been to ALL AUTOGRAPHICAS
  17. A good guest but couod we have some of the forgotton heros of the Second World war, the Polish Pilots, who came to our help at the time we neeeded them most, and were then let down by the goverment
  18. Just to let you know i have booked room today and i have paid for it but it was cheap £54.50. per night . I was told to get in early only condtion is that you have to confirm and pay for book then. Paul
  19. Dave and Gang I beleive in saying that i am one of a very select club that has attended all of the shows ( and will continue to do so), i beleive that the shows have become to regimented in the way that they are done and this along with other factors is putting people off coming to the shows. When the shows were less formal people were more relaxed and that includes the guests, the people that worked at the shows were also more laid back and approacable. The show may need to look at the way it presents its self to people, myself i have worked at the first few shows then it become bigger and that is when alot of people have said that the show lost it persona. The people that regulary attended both shows every year at the moment are suffering with money problems due to the state of the country, but to get them back you might have to go back to 1 show a year, and by perhaps doing that you mightattrract the bigger guests. All the Astronauts that Dave/Garry bought over at the first shows were allowed to have photos with the collectors at the tables and also the tv stars this has gone and been replaced by photo shoots, which people see has just another way that is making money. I know the costs involved in the show and the profit and loss situation with the show, but it still remains the fact that alot of people feel coralled into queues and treated like cattle at the shows since they have become bigger. This may sound like a bit of a moan, but i am a dedicated autograph collector and will remain loyal to Dave, and his creation Autographica, but i beleive the shows could be better than they are if a few back to basics were applied to the shows as they was before, and a lot more people would come back to the shows. My self have been to all the shows made some great freinds who will remain with me to the end, all that i would ask is the show go back to basics and see what happens you never know your luck , also the select few that have been to all the shows please add your comments because having been to all the shows i am sure that Dave and co might take on board any suggestions . Paul
