If you made a list of possible venues to hold this event The Mk Dons Stadium would surely have been last maybe whoever picked it had the list upside down.I have being going to these events for many years and went on the Sunday this year and for the very first time did not enjoy it. No fault to any of the guests or most of the staff but the venue was so unappropiate its not true with the signings taking place on a narrow concourse at the top of the stadium. I notice you have had reasons for the dealers being in the warm and the guests in the cold draughty cell like areas but I am sure these guests and there agents will be spreading the word around about the conditions here and it will hit your event very hard in the future. As for the photo shoots usually like clockwork there were a shambles to get in to with a no pink tickets yet just hang around for 20 mins when everyone had payed the same money for the shoot. The talks being cancelled there's a suprise why on earth pick a venue relieing on the weather for possibly the stand out events of the day!. Also a great idea to hide the Ashes To Ashes car in the middle of nowhere only found it trying to walk back to our car. On a good note at last thanks to Leonard Nimoy,Nathan Fillion,Phillip Glenister,Andrew Robinson and John Delancie was great meeting you. If this event in the same place next year count me out. Hi all now i have had time to recover here is my review WILLIAM SHATNER- I will jump to his defence,with so many people wanting to see him things had to move at the pace they did-met him with a smile on my face ,said its a pleasure to meet you and he smiled and said thank you-could not ask for more. MIRINA SIRTIS- My first ever collector mania meet-and a great way to start-warm freindly ,down to earth and my fave Star-Trek character to boot-had to go again on the sunday so the wife could meet her fave to. NICK STAHL- Sin City is my film of the year so what a guest for me to meet again very freindly and told him how i impressed i was that some one from such a huge current hit movie took the time to come to this event. SANDRA TAYLOR -The lady for us lads to fawn over of course but she was so sweet giving us all so much time and showing great interest in what we had to say,met her friday and then when back with the wife on sunday she insisted she went to say hello for a laugh and told her the photo i had with her made me look like i had died and gone to heaven(it did indeed)she said how cool it was for my wife to come and have a laugh with her and i took the opportunity to buy another pic and have another pic with her. ERIKA ELANICK - Another lovely lady with a smashing smile with a lot of time for me. SUMMER GLAU- Huge Fire - fly fan so was so pleased we went again on Sunday another lovely lady who seemed so pleased with my praise of the series and kindly posed for pics separetly with the wife and me. NICHOLAS BRENDON - Im a Buffy fanatic so queing for Xander a no-brainer-slightly dissopointed at no pic with him but he was a laugh even doind a "Xander grin"for my pic of him. CHRIS BARRIE-Charming and funny even had a small comic sketch going with him which i may bore youwith on another thread. ROBERT ENGLUND-The most enthusiastic person i have ever met just mentioning the coming soon movie behind him he went through lists of directors he will be working with ,and with such passion-also he seemed to put such effort into good poses for fan photos-what a guy. ANDY HALLET -A real gentleman and another claim to fame i made him laugh out loud with one of my lines . Hi i did get to meet Summer Glau and what you heard was bang on she was lovely being a huge fan of Fire fly (and of course telling her so)made meeting her very special ,she posed for different pics with me and then the wife and seemed very sincere-i left her telling her that i hoped Serenity would be be the huge it it of course deserves to be. ps later in the week i will put a couple of Summer pics on my on-line photo album just post here if you would like details. Why have i not been to anything like this befor?a great day on friday meeting my all time Star Trek star Mirina Sirtis within 5 mins of arriveing following up with 5 more signings all of which were a joy to meet hats off to Mr Hallet,Mr N brendon ,Mr Stahl and the ladies Erika,Sandra and of course Marina. Had to go back on the Sunday as wife so jealous i had met Marina but of course i then went crazy and had another session meeting Mr Shatner,Mr Barrie,Mr Englund(how enthusiastic is this guy) and the lovely Summer Glau. This event has been well and truly sold to myself and the wife thanks to all the stars (not one single person was a dissapointment)and everyone involved in the running of the event and too those of you i met and had a chat with. See you in 6 Months.
