Only 1 - I have a trading card from the CCG which I want to put with all my other original series autographs. It's tempting to get another one as an investment, but I doubt I'd get as much back as I'd pay for it in the first place. I never bother with photos unless the guest is willing to personalise it and I think there'll be no dedications due to the number of people who want to meet him.

Thanks for the info. I now have a hotel room booked, so all that remains is to sort out transport so that I can be there as early as possible on the Saturday.

As my M/Phil thesis is due in on Friday and I am supposed to be going to a concert in Bristol on the Sunday I can only make Saturday.

I'd still like to meet him. I didn't find the character half as annoying as he was made out to be. Perhaps I have a high tolerance threshold.

Which entrance do people usually queue at? The shopping centre's a BIG place! At previous events I've arrived after the doors have opened, though I'm beginning to wonder if I need to get there earlier this time round as I've been hoping to meet him for a long time and would hate to make the journey only to find I was too late to get an autograph.

If it's like when Leonard Nimoy last did an event in the UK you'll be allowed to take photos from off to one side, but there won't be any posed ones. If there's no photography allowed then I'd love for the organisers to make an event photo of William Shatner available after the event (I have photos of all the actors I've met except Carrie Fisher, and was disappointed that there weren't any available).

Yay! Apart from William Shatner she is the person I most want to meet from the original series.

I've met Bonnie and in real life she's lovely, really friendly.

I tend to go on Fridays to avoid the queues - staying in a hotel in Milton Keynes the night before is also a good idea. The one disadvantage is when guests are jet-lagged - Brent Spiner was really grumpy when I met him and it put me off, if he didn't want to be there why did he show up?

I'd like it to be held on the Friday and Monday as well, like with Milton Keynes. That way there's more chance of me being able to attend.

I use Listen Again and catch Mark Radcliffe's Radio 2 show, but he's on holiday at the moment so I'm listening to Steve Lamacq instead.

Is there a downturn? I'm not sure - I'm selective in the events I go to, though I've been to each Collectormania since no. 3 - Paul McGann was a great guest. One problem with the MK event is that certain guests only attend for one day and if there are various people you want to meet but can only go for one day then you're stumped. I'd like to see people who were at the London show turn up in MK - the London shows always clash with me getting roles in theatre productions so I've missed out on various people I wanted to see. With the current guest list for Collectormania I'm undecided about attending - I want to meet Nana Visitor, but if the Dr Who guests are only there on the Sunday then at the moment it isn't worth me going as I have a ticket for a concert in Bristol that night. More Trek guests who I've not met before would persuade me to come to Collectormania 8!

Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes and Levar Burton are the ones I've not met yet from the main cast. I'd also like to meet Wil Wheaton, Majel Barrett and Diana Muldaur. There are still some DS9, Voyager and Enterprise stars I'd like to see too, especially the ones who have only done the London shows. And there's always William Shatner, the one main cast member from the original series I haven't met yet. The more Star Trek stars there are at Collectormania 8 who I've not seen previously the more likely I am to attend.

I have met all but one of the original series main cast so far (not counting DeForest Kelley who died before I started attending Star Trek signings). If you can get William Shatner I will definitely attend the next event. The same goes for Jeri Ryan (though for different reasons!). I'd also like to meet the cast members from later series who I've not met yet (especially all the captains), and Majel Barrett would be great too.
