It's time to move on I know and I'm looking forward to all the 'A' list guests that we'll get at the MK Dons stadium but let's pause for thought and reflect on the great shows in the shopping centre.
I, like many people I'm sure, stumbled across Collectormania by accident. It was a long Bank Holiday weekend and I found myself sat outside Virgin Megastore in MK eating some Hungarian Goulash soup when a Dr Who (the Tom Baker kind) and a 5 foot tall Wookie walked past !! I realised something very strange was happening in the shops that day.
Eventually I found myself in the Central Hall looking at masses of people milling around in the company of William Shatner and stars from Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
After that I made sure that I coincided 2 of the 3 times a year I go shopping with Collectormania.
My first signature was from Wayne Pygram aka Scorpius in Farscape. He was a great guy, chatted for 20 minutes about all kinds of stuff (it was Monday and he was very quiet) and even let my buy him a large Americano from Costa Coffee.
Did anyone else fall into Collectormania the same way as me and who was your first CM autograph from ?
Farewell shopping centre - gone but never forgotten. Perhaps we'll pick some converts from disillusioned IKEA shoppers whose meatballs will be repeating on them.
