  1. I might but I think it clashes with another weekend I have planned - so it depends on money in the end.
  2. I think it's a bit unfair to say one autograph from a guest - I normally go to a guest if I've seen them in multiple tv series or films. I'm a fan of their work not just who they are. Take Neve Campbell for instance - she is in three of my favourite films; Scream, The Craft and Wild Things, I may of got a few stares when I said three but that was when I got my money out. I love those films and couldn't decide between them so I got all three because I thought I would regret it otherwise. Then with Richard Dean Anderson I got two - one 8x10 and one on a poster of the cast. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting one to put away in storage and one to eventually go up on the wall. I couldn't even tell you how many I would get of Amy Acker - two characters in Angel and her craziness at the start, Alias, Person of Interest, Much Ado About Nothing - the list would go on for me. I get a photo with the person but the auto from the character.
  3. Surprisingly nobody for me - originally put money aside for merchandise at stalls but a lot of it was quite generic for me - with a few exceptions. So the money I put aside went on all my 'extras' and I still came away with money. Never happened before.
  4. The reason it changed from what I read is because so many people forgot to press the validation button and caused X amount of time to add these in separately. Personally I used to buy things in groups of five items unless I thought they would sell out fast and even then I would add someone who I wanted but didn't want to pay the extra amount by themselves. I think for the most part I will buy my entry tickets on online and then buy the rest of photo shoots at the event unless it's a major player who is bound to see out. Glad it works out better for you - that's a lot more money you would save on for other photo shoots
  5. Christopher Lloyd pass only had one t-shirt; at least that was what I was given - I would be happy to have a pass that just guaranteed you an autograph and a photo.
  6. I did ten photo shoots and three of them said Diamond Passes first but they were for CL, MG and MJF - so that was correct on my photo shoots.
  7. I had a Diamond Pass for Christopher Lloyd and Michael Gambon. One thing I noticed which might explain the larger queues on the weekend for CL was that Friday was quite quiet and even when I went to get his autograph the lady asked where all the Diamond Passes were. This is something completely outside SM control - at least this time - maybe next time they need to assign a day to collect and autograph - but it was only ever Diamond Passes that were guaranteed a autograph. For those saying that Diamond Passes were used for priority on other shoots - this was untrue for me - I had about ten photo shoots and the only time Diamond Passes where called first were for those that had Diamond Passes; CL, MG and MJF and it was only the former two that I got the priority.
  8. With regard to e-cigs; we still don't know the long term effects of them - yes, short term seems to be better but is it really. I always move away from any crowd - it's my choice to smoke and so yes if there is a queue; I personally believe you should move - I wouldn't smoke at a bus stop or outside a busy building.
  9. I've still got my Saturday entry ticket because they weren't paying any attention to me and I could of had the Friday and Sunday ticket as well if I hadn't waited around for them to take them. One girl on the Sunday had no idea what to do with my ticket - she looked at it and then me and was like what do I do with it - I said tear it and then hand me part of it back - tried to give me the small bit. Obviously never worked or gone to an event before.
  10. This system work really well; has done since it was first introduced; again that is when people actually leave the signing area and when there aren't too many people that have been let into the queue. As far as I was concerned - Gold passes didn't get priority for Diamond guest - that was made very clear on here before the event. I got two diamond passes as that was the only way to guarantee an autograph. I doubt they would put a cap on the amount on Diamond Passes sold because these were what made their appearance possible. Technically they did have a cap and if they sold out completely I would be very surprised if any of the regular ticket holders or gold pass holders would have met them.
  11. I think it's going to take me a while to recover from this one - bed bound on Monday, physio yesterday as well as sleeping in the afternoon and now in bed again. My exhaustion, fatigue is so high and my energy so low that I just need to do nothing. Doctor told me to sleep for the next few days.
  12. I occasionally smoke - due to the stress of these event and it relaxes my breathing but I do think it rude to smoke in queues - I moved away from the queue and sat down on a park bench when I wanted one.
  13. She is amazing - I got an autograph on Friday, photo shoot Saturday and then went back on Sunday to get another autograph. She was so sweet each time I meet her.
  14. I had similar experience and learnt that if there is a particular show or photo you have in mind then it's worth getting your print - it's had to predict what people want or how many people want a particular print. They could go really quickly in the morning and then print out more just to find out that a different print was wanted in the afternoon. They are not mind readers - they can't predict how it's going to be - and so far with one exception I've been happy with either the prints available or my own prints I've bought with me. (William Sadler being the exception - I thought he would have at least one photo from his Roswell days).
  15. I would guess it was because of the walking stick, but definitely not because you'd take a little longer to get up. The crew member telling you probably thought he/she was being nice and would spare you pain. Someone in front of me in the Christopher Lloyd shoot was actually asking if he could stand up as he had knee issues and it would be really painful for him to do that. I actually thought this over and she probably did the right thing to be more effective
  16. One thing that I am confused with was that I was told not to kneel down with my photo shoot with MJF but all the photos I've seen on twitter the attendee is kneeling down - is this just because I had a walking stick and it might take me a little bit longer to get back up. I paid a lot of money for that photo - I would have liked to had a photo like everyone else did.
  17. I watched how people treated those with less abled bodies at lifts - people were walking around them to get in the lift. After I saw this I became very forward with my queuing; I have a walking stick and people kept knocking it out from under me. Maybe next time we could have a lift that was used solely for those with medical needs. I would never of used the lifts if I could use the stairs; especially with the amount of people hovering around the lifts entrances. I did get a few stares from people; I had a few people just run pass me because I couldn't move that quickly - which is a shame because I did get there before them - I thanked the people behind them for respecting me. One young women was having a panic attack; was let in first but then people started to fill up the lift - I put my arm out to stop people coming too close to her.
  18. I had a Diamond Pass but couldn't get the Hogwarts prop photo - sad but it was at the same time as my talk or photo shoot. Harry Potter and Neve Campbell was always overlapping.
  19. I got my photos out on the train and tried to put them in order - I had a young woman sitting next to me and when we we're leaving the train she asked; where I had been and then starting talking about the photos; saying if she meet any of them that those photos would be on the walls for everyone to see. Not sure if she would have paid the price but lots of people think it's great and interesting - I'd rather spend my money of something that I could show to someone; other than, you know, vomit.
  20. I'm not even sure why I read it - I mean it is the Daily Star but my Dad does say 'Comic CON' to me all the time anyway but he also respects that I have a hobby that I enjoy
  21. Oh boy, that looks like quite a puzzle you got there indeed...You can't do any shoots in the 1st sessions because both clash completely with RDA's talk...and 2nd sessions overlap a lot....I'd say go for the 2nd sessions and talk to the crew about your clashes to get you through all three asap before your CL talk...should be doable if they help along. use the elevators for travelling between floors if you can't walk too well... That was what I was thinking - I hope the elevators are close enough to the photo shoot areas and that people that are more able use the stairs otherwise this weekend may kill me. Thanks for the reminders of the elevators - not freaking out as much but I'm sure I will be soon
  22. So, now that the floor plan has been released I'm a bit worried. I have Michael Gambon, Neve Campbell and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe photo shoot to attend. As well as Richard Dean Anderson and Christopher Lloyd talks. Michael Gambon and Neve Campbell morning shoots are at the same time as Richard Dean Anderson talk. Then Michael Gambon and Neve Campbell afternoon shoots are at the same time again - but I have Jodi photo just before and Chris's talk after. I wasn't too worried about this until I saw the floor plan and there all on different floors and I can't walk that well as it is - really worried I'm going to miss something. Any advice?
  23. Nearly there - the rest needs doing before I leave tomorrow morning :)
  24. I got only 8; heaven forbid if they counted the ones before the shop changed over - I don't want to be reminded how much I spent - one email would do me
