There's still a week to go... have some faith. We have no idea how many people are being spoken to/approached and nothing can be announced until contracts are signed. Yes, the recent cancellations are disappointing but they can't be helped and guestsare always 'subject to availability', no-one is ever guaranteed which is why people should never buy a ticket just to meet one guest. I'm sure there'll be some more announcements over the coming days :)

I'm not in pain because I'm in a wheelchair? Oh, guess I must have missed the memo... so what IS that constant sensation I have throughout my body then?

My ringtone is the MacGyver theme. I hane't changed the alert tones but y'all are making me want to!

RDA was my reason for going and he was worth it. Completely blew me away. I never expected him to be so SMILEY and I love it when the guests enjoy meeting us as much as we do them. Love how he takes the time to talk to everyone. I managed to tell him how I started watching Stargate after getting out of hospital after a suicide attempt and how it became associated with healing... and he GOT it and made me burst into tears <3 Yeah, awesome guy and he totally made the whole thing for me

The only real complaint I had about the weekend was that the stalls were too close to the entrance and the cash point which caused SUCH a bottle neck trying to get in That triggered a whole lot of panic and anxiety but other than that, I didn't find I problems with anything. Any time I had to ask a crew member anything, I either got an answer straight away or they checked with someone and I had an answer moments later.

I was in a wheelchair at LFCC and I know I bumped into a few people (combination of people just stopping and foward momentum of wheels not being that easy to stop but there's also the issue of my driver not being able to see where my feet are (and therefore the edge of the chair) and misjudging) but I always make sure to apologise. I find the worst thing is that I come out feeling like I've got concussion - the amount of people who smack you round the head with their bags. Yes, some people apologise but others just carry on. I always hear whipers and murmurs when I get out of my chair for photo-ops. News flash people - not everyone in a chair is paralysed. I've got arthritis in my hips, knees and back plus fibro. On a good day, I walk with nothing more than a limp and s*** balance. On a bad day, nope, bed bound. I used to try and get around cons on crutches but I'd end up so exhausted and in pain that I wasn't enjoying myself and it wasn't worth it. Even in the chair this weekend, after about 6 hours, I was in pain and had to leave. I learned about queue jump after basically trying to cause a fabulous game of dominos one time... god I'd love to be able to stand and queue - I'll happily swap with an able-bodied person. I will always let a walking disabled go ahead of me though, if I can - because hey, I'm sitting down.

I am ridiculously excited about this. RIDICULOUSLY. There are no words.
