  6. i love teen fiction and i'm 26 :) i prefer the true blood books to the series. think it has more humour in book form whereas the series is trying to play with the horror/adult aspect a lot more
  7. I'm planning on getting that next week as charlaine is signing in Manchester. I'm currently reading Kim Harrison- A Fistful of Charms
  8. The Summoning is one of her younger reader books but it's really good. you should get bitten and stolen. she likes to use a narrator in a book or two and then change to another character that you've met in previous books. Did you know Charlaine is doing some signings in the uk shortly?
  9. Hey I kinda stick with favouite authors: Laurell K Hamilton Kelley Armstrong Charlaine Harris Mary Janice Davidson Carl Hiaasen Sue Grafton Sara Paretsky Terry Pratchett Kim Harrison etc.
  10. lol :) i'm a big book person and only have terrestrial tv so had plenty of time to hear about dexter and realise there were books :)
  11. see i read the book before the show :) generally prefer to do that anyway.
  12. Hey. I've read one or two of the books. Like the books more than the show. Hate it when they significantly change a story for tv. i guess you would know about the Doakes change? Got some more at home to read and i've only managed to watch seasons 1 and 2. got too much to read and watch :)
  13. James is really cool. He's the first person i met
  14. and after a few beers my english isn't that good either :)
  15. Dirk was really nice at Manchester. He refused to go for dinner and told his aide that he could eat tomorrow as people had come to meet him. He asked my name and where i was from and my sister, bless her, tried to explain exactly where we live, despite him not having the foggiest. I was really impressed :)
  16. Babylon 5 season 2 too!! - just watched 'spider in the web' episode. only just started season 2 though. had a load of friends who demanded i watch it and then we could have silly discussions. really enjoying it.
  17. Babylon 5 season 2 and How i Met Your Mother Season 2 :)
  18. yay something fun to look forward to. and would be cool to have a pic of us all dressed as our firefly counterparts :) one where i don't look completely out of it.
  19. Cool. we can have a giggle again this year :)
  20. I've booked a silver and my hotel with my christmas money off my parents :)
  21. Altered Carbon is fantastic. Has bits that make me think of the Dollhouse concept :) I like the Mary Janice Davidson- Betsy Taylor books. about a ditzy blonde who becomes queen of the vampires.
