1. I'm on Gold thanks for all the info! (Better take some hankies for him just in case!) 888192 2 final questions if I may........... 1. Did I read somewhere that Alexei Leonov couldn't make it? 2. Was Buzz allowing posed photos?
2. I'm on Gold thanks for all the info! (Better take some hankies for him just in case!)
3. John, I can answer this as I was there today as well. Yes, she was allowing pics without flash, but the room was a little dark..... Glad I missed the person referred to above - I was in the queue about 11am 888186 Thanks for that...............it'll make my dad a happy man, all he wants is one photo with her!
4. Great report.......I'm off there tomorrow. 1 question for you..............was Ursula allowing any pictures at all, without flash? Thanks John
5. Where does his autograph "go" for $350? You check websites such as www.astro-auction.com and certain Space autograph dealer websites and you'll find that even at $180 it can be difficult to sell his (basic) autograph. Someone somewhere on this forum suggested Buzz's autograph was worth £250 which is about $430... also at the UACC show in NJ his base fee was $150 or £87 at todays exchange rate. It'll only be one item for me. 887676 If you go to Buzz's own website, he has three autograph dealers he has contracts with...all specialise in astronaut/space related autographs...check out the prices there. One of them was called novaspace I think!
6. The Observer got some of the info wrong in the article, they said: Heather Lowe is married to Andrew Prine, gaunt face of V in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I've checked IMDB because I don't remember a character calld V on DS9 and he wasn't! He was in one ep of TNG and the character had a different name. So much for checking there facts out! Thought you might be interested. 887339 They have got two shows confused..........you may remember (depending on your age!) a TV show callled "V" from the mid-80's about earth being invaded but creatures who looked human but are actually lizards........Andrew Prine was one of the main Lizards, an alien called Steven (they took human names). It was his face you would see on commercials.......hence the "gaunt face of V" phrase and the confusion.
7. Anyone from the following shows/films Firefly/Serenity Shaun of the Dead CSI Charmed BSG 24 (Sarah Clarke was awesome) X Files Bionic Woman/$6 Million Man Alien Nation V (if any of you guys can remember it) those would quite easily empty my bank account
8. Dave, Are the photos of Buzz/Ursula extra or are they included in with the price of the signature? Thanks Johnhuk
9. Hell Yeh! £90 is cheap for Buzz.........autos on his website go for $350 so its agood price. To meet two (inc. Charlie Duke) of only 12 people to walk on the moon is an opportunity not to be missed in my humble opinion!
10. It'd be great to get Linsey Wagner too! The Bionic Couple together again!
11. ahh Could it be Carey Lowell, she played an agent in Licence to Kill (I think?) and she said that line with accompanying hand actions! John
12. If shes keeps treating people that way nobodys gonna visit shatner, there b 2 scared! Its not very professional! 874270 Eventually someone is going to tell her where she can stick her autographs! She was like it 10 years ago and she hasn't changed....the only difference is that 10 years ago (roughly) the client wasn't Shatner it was herself. There is no need for her attitude or rudeness..........no matter what, just who the hell does she think she is!
13. Yep that was Julie Caitlin Brown................she used to have a bit-part in Babylon 5 years ago, but you wouldn't recognise her under all the Narn makeup! Some would say that is an improvement........she certainly screams like one!
14. Was there earlier today and he had one shot from V of Willie, Ham and Elias.
15. I'd read all the reports from yesterday's hoo-haa about The Shatner but thought I'd experience it for myself. Got a fairly low VQT ticket (75 I think) so paid my money chose my photo and lined up only to be herded through as described yesterday. BUT I do believe that a lot of the No Photo/Personalization came from JCB....whenever he did chat to people she gave him the dirtiest look...I at least got a "Hi how are you thanks for coming" all in one sentence. Was in Erika Eleniaks line at 10.15 when it was announced over the tannoy that William Shatner had an open queue....quiet shocking really! Went over a couple of hours later to see Marina Sirtis to find the scene as shown in the attached linkBilly No Mates............so much for the no pictures! What I found disgraceful was Julie Caitlin Brown's attitude and the fact that she was waving her hands in front of his face when people were taking photos from OUTSIDE the centre.........she even sent a minder round! Bloody cheek if you ask me..........she was a lot of the problem!
16. Erm, the people I was with got a bit of conversation and he even thanked them for coming! 873818 nah mate, it's an urban myth...unless you actually saw it happen... 873820 That is the truth, I saw it with my own eyes! 873823 Was JCB on a toilet break at the time so he was allowed to speak? 873826 JCB??? 873828 Julie Caitlin "I had a minor role in Babylon 5 worship me!" Brown!
17. Did any of you lovely people attending today see if Robert Englund had any photos from 'V' or were they all Nightmare on Elm Street? If not I'll have to come prepared! John
18. Sorry..........should read SM OR Earls Court Staff!
19. I don't post too often...........I'm more of a lurker but something happened today that I have to get off my chest! My mate and I arrived at Earls Court 2 at about 7.20ish and we were roughly 25th in the line, then some nice lady asked us to move the line against the wall. The line grew and grew when myself and people around me noticed that the group of whom I believe were Kate Mulgrew fans at the front of the line was growing and growing. Now, I've been to many events and no-one really bats an eye if you are in the line and a mate who is late turns up and joins you.....but when you are talking 15 people possibly more turn up late and walk straight to the front of the line thinking that they can push in front of those people who have been waiting for over an hour that is just taking the mick! Who the hell do they think they are................ Then, to top it all, someone (and my thanks go out to this person) told someone official who ushered them to the back of the line (waaaaay back...........!) and they walk off being abusive! If you want to be at the front of the line then put in the effort and get there earlier............ End of moan. On another note...........Xander Berkley, top bloke!
20. Try this link http://www.moviemarket.co.uk/Posters/Star_...ce_T103243.html They may have what you want, I've used them before and they are very reliable. J.
21. I knew Rick Biggs though a friend of mine in Virginia......he introduced me to Rick and to "Aunt Shirley" his fan club president...........that was way back in '97 when my friend was head honcho at a con. I met up with Rick and a few other B5 stars at the same con each year..........we had lunch, talked etc. He was a great down to earth kinda guy. The day that Shirley emailed me to tell me Rick had passed away was a sad day for me............Rick was a talented actor who actually enjoyed meeting fans, he will be sadly missed. Others who have touched our lives such as DeForest Kelly are also missed........at least we have the knowledge that he gave his all to his art.......not just Star Trek but other shows too.........he was great in westerns!
22. I've got to say that Bonnie Piesse and Katee Sackhoff were both extremely nice.........stopped to chat and have a photo and they actually made eye contact for a good while whilst talking. We need more guests llike them!
23. Hi I'm new to this forum but could not agree more. I was in the line for Katee Sackhoff..............there were no signs saying no posed photos, but I politely asked anyway and was told yes it would be fine............although the lady assisting Katee could not do it as she was too close so she told me to ask another crew member who was monitoring the line..............this woman manhandled my camera (which, by the way cost over £700) didn't even give us a chance to pose or aim the camera correctly, just clicked, passed the camera back and said "thats all you get" and stormed off! Now I know they were busy, but we have paid for the privilige. That doesn't mean that common courtesy or managers need to go out of the window. How would showmasters feel if they got a bill for a £700 camera due to one of the staff! Needs to be sorted for next time.............get rid of those with delusions of grandeur!
